Neil Phillips BOT 18-Feb-23 08:27 AM
Life is full of good and bad times, we are to cherish those that are good, and forget those that are bad. But what do you do with the confusing moments? That is what happened to the twins Phillips many, many years ago, In 1772. One moment they were injured and on their way home from Rhode Island, working in the army to protect their mother and sister. After their father had passed away when they were young, leaving the two of them to take care of the family farm. Once they became more aware of their surroundings, they suddenly realized they were standing in front of two gods. Both boys were no longer injured, but in cloaks representing the sun and moon. The god had introduced himself as Khonsu, claiming Neils as his Avatar to do his own bidding, to vanquish any who has done any wrongdoings who deserve justice to be served. While the other god (calling herself Ra) had claimed Niles as his own Avatar, working as his right hand, working to create and destroy life, as Ra sees fit. The two gods had said they saw greatness within the twins, and saw their heroism acts as signs they would be the perfect Avatars to do their will on the mortal world. Neither had a choice, not able to deny the offer of working for the two gods. The gods had turned them into immortal beings, so as to be able to focus on their job as the gods' right hand men. So they spent the next 300 years, bringing Justice to the world, creating and destroying life itself. They worked non-stop, struggling to keep up with the changing world around them. The Phillips twins worked together to try and figure out the world as it came and went. Working for the gods, and living their life, trying to seem as normal. Well as normal as two 23 year olds from 1772 could be. They mean friends, fell in love, they married and they grieved when their loved ones eventually died, while they stayed young forever. They had shared every single secret they were allowed to with their closest friends and their lovers, eve

n if they all knew and respected what had happened to them, it still hurt a lot knowing that they would still be alive, while their loved ones were gone. It was a hard pill to swallow, but after 250 years, they finally got used to the idea, and stopped making friends. They had each other, that's all they needed right?" The year is currently 2022, and the twins were having the time of their life. Neil and Niles were no longer afraid of what their future would bring, they did their jobs for Khonsu and Ra, without fighting or complaining. Well, Niles wouldn't complain or fight. But since they had been working hard, the gods had allowed the two to finally get their own place. Not a safe house, or an abandoned building. but an actual home. The two had put together their money, to get a building that had a Café under an apartment. It had been a perfect cover to the two, being two young dumb guys, wanting to open a business. So they used that as a cover, spending the nights working for the two gods, but this time with a home to call their own. It was currently noon, Niles looked out the window of the Cafe, head resting on his hand as he leaned against the counter , watching the rain thumping against the window. He and Neil had finally gotten back from a three day mission for the gods, so they were able to open the Cafe again, even if it was only for a little. Today was a very slow day today because of the rain, they had almost no customers that day, which left Niles to just watch the rain fall. And when he got bored, he tended to do reckless things. He stood up straight carefully pushing back his brown curly hair back, while he lazily looked over towards Niles. "NiNi, we did all the Chores, I have mopped the floor at least a thousand times. When can we just, I don't know, maybe close?" He asked

Niles sighed, carefully sitting up as he stretched. "I dont know, you can decide. Doesn't (your oc) come in at this time ?" He asked softly, carefully fixing his apron and name tag. Neil hummed softly walking behind the counter, carefully leaning against the counter to look at him couriously. "Oh? Well, I supose that's true. But what would you rather do more. Wait? Amd the possibility of her not coming and we are sitting here for hours and hours? Or we go upstairs, I paint your nails the colors you like, I can help you get that knot out of your back. And you do the same for me, and we can take a nap." He offered , standing up. He spun on his heels, giving his brother a mischievous grin. "Come on NiNi, Khonsu and Ra has finally given us a day off. For the first time in a 300 years, and your telling me, you rather spend it down here?" Niles paused, that did sound nice, and Neal was right. They hadn't had a say off since they were first brought into the buiness as Avatars. He sighed heavily Turing towards the register and began to turn off the system. "Alright, alright you have a point." He agreed, putting in the code that turned off the register. "Lets clean up alright ." Neil grinned "perfect ! Let's go before!" Just as he was about to suggest they go take the left over teats upstairs, someone entered the shop drench from the rain. Neil laughed softly "well, someone is soaked. We were just about to come upstairs (your oc) , want to join?" He asked them carefully grabbing To go boxes to carefully put the left over treats in the box. Niles smiled getting her drink ready, making sure she was able to was a warm drink to warm her up. "Afternoon, we are painting our nails. I'd like it is you'd come ." He said softly

Aradia had just finished a couple minutes late with a client, who wasn't pleased with the outcomes of the arrangements. So she in her casual business voice offered a second arrangement that would smooth over the last. The catch was the cost for this would be more heartache for the guy in the long run, and she surmised it would be a couple weeks before he started to realize the new cracks in his life that would form to mend the old ones. It would go like this for the poor soul until the guy either stopped coming to her for assistance, or learned to cherish what he had. The guy did ask a lot more finer detailed questions than what she was expecting, but wasn't surprised after the first deal he took at face valued costed him his relationship with his girlfriend due to his neglect and hyper-focus on his career. Once the male stormed away with having exchanged items, and a promise to cancel the business deal he was working on. Aradia looked out her door to see the down poor. "Oh my, the boys must be worried." she nonchalantly would exclaim. Closing the shop for lunch she would simply walk out closing the door behind her. As she walked around the streets it would appear as she some how avoided each drop, or the clouds created a moving circle of temporarily stopped rain around her. She would casually walk into the the cafe and notice the boys closing up. "I am sorry for my tardiness. Am I interrupting anything?" she would ask. while her voice had minor inflection her red eyes which would intimidate, and unsettle most, but in this instance be softened for the two, would move from one to the other as she gathered in what they were doing. She had provided the boys with the property in exchange for free services for her and potentially one other guest if she brought one, an undisclosed amount of time. While the offer in comparison seemed small, what didn't disclose was that she to was for all intensive purposes eternal. They never asked so she never told. She was wearing

She would pull the sleeve back looking at her wrist which as far as they could tell, had no watch. "I suppose I could accept your offer for a short time" she would say before letting her sleeve drop back around her wrist and remove her jacket. She would place it on the coat rack. "Although I may pass on the nail painting. My next client might not be so keen on any color I paint them. Perhaps another day my good Niles." she would say before accepting her drink and taking a sip. "mmm just perfect as always." she complimented

Niles smiled widely as he gave a small shake of his head, causing his blonde curls to bounce as he made the quick movement. “Of course not, you are never intruding, Aradia. In fact we were just waiting for you!” he promised happily “and you know what, that is completely fine, you do not have to take part in the nail polish, NeNe just said he could do my nails. I'm thinking a nice blue color.” he hummed carefully, taking her hand into his , leading her to the secret staircase that led to their apartment. Niles hummed, locking the door behind them before they made their way up the stairs going into their apartments. It was a small apartment, two bedrooms, one bath. A small kitchen that was combined with the living room. “Welcome back to the apartment, your home away from home, care to sleep over again just let us know.” he replied, taking his apron off and walking towards his bedroom to change into normal clothing. “ I gotta say Aradia, I thought you were gonna ditch us again. But you surprised me yet again.” he replied, calling out to her, carefully removing his shirt, grabbing a gray sweater. Niles rolled his eyes as he carefully got them snacks, setting them on the Coffee table. “Ignore him. You just take your time, we knew you were coming so there was nothing to worry about.” he promised carefully sitting down on the sofa looking at her with a kind smile. “So Aradia, how are you doing? We haven't seen you in a while. I hope you were okay while we were gone.” he smiled. Looking up as Neil came back into the living room to join them for the snacks. @darkkid1000

Almost with supernatural grace. Aradia would allow herself to be whisked away up into the apartment. She made sure to keep her drink perfectly balanced despite the shifts in directions and bumps of the stairs. Once up in the common area of the apartment, she would casually sip her drink letting the boys talk. They always brought a smile to her face with how lively they were. "Well i'm am happy I do not disappoint my dear friends. She would say loud enough for both to hear. Yes, my business does tend to make me travel for days, weeks, months, or even years at a time. It is unfortunate, but balance needs to be maintained some how." Which would be the only thing she tends to hint at as far as her actual occupation. She had already explained in the past that in one must give for what they take to maintain an order of balance through life, and her occupation was a matter of ensuring that balance remains. She was of course willing to show the boys her profession in action. They however had their own jobs outside of the shop that kept them busy. "I do appreciate the offer, to spend the night again. That was a dreadful night, and work didn't go as planned." She closed her eyes taking a sip, remembering how they accepted her that night. It was one of the dealings she made where the client took their frustrations and lack of understanding out on her. The client's life after that night suspiciously took a turn for the worse and all his secrets were exposed. From riches to rags nearly over night, and all Aradia had to endure was a couple minutes of violence. The boys had taken her in that night and nursed a couple cuts and bruises despite her soft protests, and had her sleep with them for protection. Through some means however a couple of the guy's rare mysterious artifacts would end up some how in Aradia's possessions and on the shelves of her store. Again, despite her never showing up at any of the auctions or bidding for them. She in the morning made them a large breakfas

t before they woke up. They enjoyed the breakfast. With a chuckle at the though she would remark in a seemingly knowing "I got you pegged" voice "are you sure, Niles that you just don't want another four course breakfast out of me." It was more of a teasing gesture. after saying this she would casually kneel at the coffee table sitting on her legs. Taking one more sip of the drink she would gently put it down. If a coaster was available it would be on the coaster. "I am doing fine though thank you for asking, I did come across a couple more tussles, none of which involved me this time, so you can rest easy. I did acquire a couple more interesting items. I'm sure they will see their uses in time." Niles in particular since he was around her more might pick up on this more than Neil but it would appear as if she had something on her mind she wanted to share with the boys. Yet at the same time she almost seemed hesitant, which was far out from her normal, confident, what happens happens demeanor. @Ken

Niles frowned, gently taking her hand into his giving it a gentle squeeze, as if reminding her she wasnt alone ans they wouldnt allow her to feel as such.. "I do love your cooking yes, but I do enjoy your company alot more then a four course meal...but i must say that is a bonus." He said, laughing softly as Neil tossed a pillow at him. "Yeah right, since when are you nice? You just want the food." Neil grinned sitting back against the sofa, looking alot more comfortable then he had downstairs. "But then again, who knows he could just be snitting." He teased leaning back Niles huffed as he looked at his twin with narrowed eyes. "No, I'm not Smitting, I enjoy Aradia's conpany thank you very much. Unlike you, only here for the food, as if." He smiled picking up a try of small sandwich to Give her some. "We are truely glad your back and safe. Next time if you need some help please call of, you know we will always be there for you no matter what." @darkkid1000

Aradia would nod "I'm aware, you boys are very protective and capable of many things." her nervousness would break through her exterior again. She cleared her throat "Now that I have both of you. I do have business I must ask, I don't expect an answer right away, and it is one that is largely up to the two of you if you want to take it. It is a proposition I am making with a heavy heart, and resisitance but it is part of my business and I have to fulfill my duties pleasant or unpleasant." She would clear her throat and take one more sip of her drink. Allowing the twins to comprehend her words she had just spoken. She would gently set the cup down again with her eyes appearing closed as she stared down at it. Her eyelids would flutter up as her gaze moved from the cup to the boys. Her eyes red, cold and dethatched from emotion, much like the first time the twins had met. It was clear she was in "business mode". Her posture was more straight and her natural beauty would take on some what of an alluring promise of danger. "It has come to my attention that the lives you currently lead, were not given to you by choice. This has been a miscalculation in the ledger for the last two hundred fifty years. For that I do apologize. But, as is my duty I must rectify and make sure the ledger is balanced. The Gods have been keeping you both rather busy, which has helped hide this minor upset very well. As you both know I am a woman who takes pride in my work, and my business, and I can be very meticulous. So it was a matter of time before I found this unbalance." Almost as if on que Lightning would strike outside, and the power would flicker. Some might say it would be the gods trying to warn her to stop, or her own unknown power flaring at the oversite and attempt to hide something from her. Whatever the case it didn't phase her one bit. "So here and now boys, my wonderful twins. I must ask, Is this the life you want?" she would hold up a finger knowing one would answer

quickly and out of instinct. "Do you wish to continue to have your unnaturally busy life, in exchange for the servitude you offer to customers and you're... business associates that draw you away from the cafe so much? I say this because on a couple of your last excursions when you had to close for your trip, I have seen some shadey entities lurking around your place. If you are interested, I have procured a item to relieve you of your duties, or at least allows it to appear this way. You may come and pass as you wish. If the answer is no, then you may continue on with your lives as you have been. Again I know this is a big question, and you know I don't except money, but items and favors, and I don't expect an answer directly, so you may ask for time and privacy to discuss, in which you may take as much time as you wish there is no limit for you both to think about it carefully. As you are aware by how some of my clients act, some outcomes are not as one would expect." Once she was finished speaking she would lower her hand which had the finger up and softly pick up the cup and take one more sip, before setting it down and watching the boys for their responses.

Neil and Niles looked completely shocked. Niles looked moments away from crying, while Neils eyes filled with rage "and why the heck are you spying on our apartment huh? We are capable of knowing who comes into out apartment. And what the heck do you mean give us privacy to discuss our options. This is a new all time low Aradia!" He shouted, he stood up glaring at her. "You are not our parent, or our partner I highly doubt any of this is any of your business!" Niles carefully and shakenly got up and took Neils hand "Ne please." He whispered flinching when Neil pulled his arm away from him sharply. "Neil, she only gave us an offer." He whispered looking very uncomfortable. "No, we are doing our jobs, we are going to continue to live our life. We don't need some random person who doesn't know us, to tell us we have new options, as freaking if! " He growled turning back to look at Aradia. "listen here, your a friend that's all you are, you are not our partner, so don't you dare do this crap, telling us wr have options. We work, so wr can live the life we love, that does not give you the right to act as if we don't have free will. Leave our jobs alone, and quit stalking us! I'll contact the police if we see these Shadeg Entities or whatever the heck they are okay?" From behind the raging twin, Niles let somw tears fall as he turned to walk towards his room. They had been so careful, they always made sure no one was around how, why now ? He couldn't be out there, not with the panic he was suddnely feeling , not to mention the burning pain he was getting on his shoulder. He sat on his bed shaking, hoping she was joking but knowing Aradia she wasn't. @darkkid1000

Aradia would simply sit there listening to the words of Neils as he scolded her, and accused her of invading their privacy, and spying on them. Her eyes remained on her Green Tea with a sprig leaf in it. She didn't flinch or show emotion. She would simply finish the drink in one last pull. "Passing by, visiting at usual times, and walking the streets do not constitute as spying, or invading privacy. I allowed the transgression happened, and noted it down to advise of my observations as I passed by. My only hesitation was to upset the two I value as more than customers." She would then stand up and straighten her skirt. "I presented option to assist. An offer, in which it is clear has upset you. I will let you calm you're emotions, as you have neither confirmed or denied the offer. I will also see myself out so as to not to further distress you." She would give a bow and start moving towards the stairs back down to the shop. If she wasn't stopped she would continue to walk down the stairs elegantly and swiftly. she was aware of hot headedness of Neil, and sensitive nature of Niles. The two being polar opposites. Perhaps this was why she enjoyed the two more than others. The two extremes were a perfect balance. A rare event in the expansions of it all. When calm they would remain balanced. Despite the berating and accusations Aradia couldn't help but smile softly. It was another thing the two pulled out of her. A genuine smile. Normally her face was stoic and uncaring. They brought an aspect of Joy, this was good because it balanced the more negative aspects. She also knew that in the end the inital reaction the two had to the news and offer would fade. Might even fade before she stepped out of the store. If not it would be fine. She would check in on them at her normal time, the next day. And she would just simply move on with her day as planed. One or both might apologize but no harm was done and there would be no uses for apologies. She had already forgiven.
09:55
If and only if, she made it to the door of the store, she would casually as if it was any other day grab her Jacket from where she left it. Put one arm in one sleeve, then the other through the other and pull it over her shoulders. unlocking the door if it was locked and opening it. she would say what she normally says, in the same tune she always did. "thank you for your hospitality, and drink. Have a good night. I'm leaving now" Before stepping out into the rain and gently closing the door behind her. Once again outside the rain would seemingly vanish as it came close to her, never hitting her. she would turn her back to the building look both ways, then casually walk the opposite direction she had came from, and off into the day. If and only if she was stopped at some part. She would simply look to the twin that stopped her with her red seeming all knowing eyes, soft smiling smirk on her face, as she listened to what the twin had to say, not resisting but remaining in complete calm. She found it rather telling of the other person when she remained calm in these situations. It showed their personality, some would find it enraging, some would calm down from their high emotional state, some would break and over come with sorrow, while other still would find comfort, and all the stages in between. She was always watching, always reading. It was her nature. @Ken

Neil would slam the door behind her, he was fuming and wasn't in the mood. He stormed into Niles bedroom complaining and yelling about how she needed to mind her business. They were were fine she didn't need to know what business trips they were going on. It was none of her business. He was about to yell ahout something else and go off again, until he saw the state his twin was in. He sighed carefully sitting next to Niles, taking his twins hand in his. "We're gonna be fine NiNi, there's no way she knows about that. She's probally just stalking us. We have been safe for over 300 years. Why now would someone see past our masking?" He asked Niles sniffled resting his head against Neils shoulder. "Do you think they know she knows? I don't want to move again." He whispered, carefully wrapping his arms around his twin when he hugged him close. "No way, there's no way they are gonna make us move again, we are just gonna have to be more careful for now on. This time we may need to go out solo, if she is watching we need to make sure one of us is home. That I'd she shows up the other can cover yea" He said carefully hugging his twin closer "I won't let us move Ni, you trust me right?" He asked as Niles nodded and whispered 'I trust you.' For the rest of the night twins stayed in Niles bedroom, doing each other's nails and talked about what Aradia had said, they both knew it would be impossible to be out of the debt of the gods, not to mention how crazy that would be, so they pushed the offer out of their minds for the night, and focused on enjoying their first night off, which they ended up crashing to a movie around 6 o'clock that night. Leaving them to wake up at the time the Café would open. Through out the day, Niles had to send Neil to the back of the shop because he was being overly moody towards the customers which were leaving them very annoyed and no tips. It was getting to that time when Aradia would be arriving to the shop, Niles had to demand Neil

to be on his best behavior or else there would be trouble. Neil told him he made no promises while Niles just sighed and washed some tables. @darkkid1000

That night Aradia would tend to her normal affairs in this plane and several others. This would continue on to the next day, which seemed rather slow today. Aradia would infact show up at her normal time. She would walk with her normal confidence. Then take a seat in a back corner. She hadn't said a word upon her entry, or her sitting in the corner. And would simply be sitting there in the corner. Her Jacket hanging like any other day, a clean skirt, clean blouse, and clothings ALl of which while clean looked almost like the one the night before. She would sit there with her chin resting in her hand fingers curled around to her lips. Her red eyes stared at nothing in particular as she tapped her fingers on her upper lip. It appeared as if today she was deep in thought, which was unusual and a sign she had a problem she was attempting to think of solutions to fix. She would sit there quietly waiting for her drink, as if the night prior didn't happen. When it was brought to her she would lower her hand and nod to the twin that had brought it. "Thank you. I hope your day is going wonderful." she would say in the same calm emotionless tone she had before leaving the night before. She would look down at the sprig leaf in her tea and sigh "oh my that is unfortunate." she would say with out explanation, unless she would be asked, in which case she would explain that she can tell there was still animosity felt towards her, as the sprig leaf seems to be lower in the water and pointing towards Neil, despite where he may be at that point in time. "I am terribly sorry for the trouble, and for mentioning your security, as well as the state of the shop being closed to you're departures. failed to realize one or both of the subjects was a sensitive matter. I was concerned about well being of close colleagues, I might offer to call friends." She would stand up from the table "Again my apologies." She would say with a similar bow from last night, and move to leave with out dri

nking the tea. If she wasn't stopped again she would put on her Jacket before calling out "Thank you for your hospitality, and drink. Have a good night. I'm Leaving now." Before stepping out and gently closing the door. If she was stopped at any part she would stop and listen to what was said, with impartial and unjudging eyes. The soft smile she had the night before back to the normal straight face she had the first time they met.

Niles looked at her with a frown. "Aradia you don't have to leave , please ignore Neil, he woke up grumpy today and is taking it out on everyone. Please sit and stay." He said softly, carefully walking around thr counter to join her at a table. "Please don't apologize, we kinda overreated and for that we are sorry. " He said with a small smile. "Please, let us have our daily conversations and pretend that argument didn't happen. Bow how was your day today?" He asked softly Neil rolled his eyes and went to get more pasteries from the back, grumbling about how Niles was too understanding of others, and how he needed to somehow grow a backbone soon, or else people would walk all over him. Niles just smiled listening to the other talk, if she asked him about his day he would happily begin to Ramble. "Well, I woke up around 6 to get the shop ready, then I spent an hour or so testing about a new recipe for the desserts we will be selling at the market soon. But it didn't taste right, maybe you can swing by this weekend and taste test the new batch?" He offered @darkkid1000

Aradia would sit back down. with Niles' request. "If you insist Niles, I am not oppose to leaving in the past where it lie. My day thus far has been rather slow. It allowed for inventory and stock to be taken care of. I took a few rounds to check in on clientele to ensure I was not needed for anything, I was not, And upon the time of our normal meeting I went for a casual walk to here. What about your day Niles? how has yours been?" Her chin would move from her palm with fingers tapping on her top lip, to resting on the back of her hand as she listened intently to Niles' relocation of the day. I would be happy to swing by and taste, sometimes what one needs is a different perspective." she would say accepting his offer. She was delighted at the invitation, and it shown in her red eyes and the soft half smile she normally gave the twins when all was right between them. It would be at this time the sound of breaking class would be heard as something was thrown into the building. A black orb, with a string and a light coming from the string. Almost comically like the cartoons completely down to the shine on the shell. The sound of two more glasses breaking before the screams of the patrons could be heard as they are hit with glass and get the releasement of the bombs. "NILES!" Aradia would shout, for the first time he could probably remember, there would be concern in her voice. Aradia abruptly stood, her red eyes glowing as she reached a hand out towards the one on the floor behind Niles. the sound of rolling could be heard as almost like a magnet to the first one the other two were drawn to it, rolling on the ground bumping on furniture and feet in the way but not stopping until all three were together. She would then take the cup of tea that hadn't drank, and threw the contents towards the three black orbs. A green small dome would shape around the three bombs composed of the green tea, seemingly more tea than was in the cup surprisingly. With the green sprig le

af floating on the top center of this dome, sunk a little more than the twig normally sings and listing in the direction of Neil. Aradia would close her outstretched hand into a closed fist, just like that the tea, bombs, and a two foot (60.96 cm) radius of the floor and ground beneath it was gone. just in the blink of an eye it was there, and then gone. Aradia would sigh, her breathing ever so slightly hitched. "That was too close for comfort" she would say, any emotion she had exhibited before now buried once again. Although her tones and inflections would exhibit relief. "Neil however, now has another reason to be mad at me." she would say with a knowing smile and slight joking manner towards Niles.

it all happened in a flash, Niles remembered someone screaming his name, then he was on the floor covered in glass. He looked around withba heavy frown, seeing patrons on the floor, looking worried and anxious. He didn't know what had happened, slowly sitting up he looked around trying to make sure everyone was okay, he noticed some of the floor was gone, and his face hurt. He looked at Aradia looking nervous. "What?" He asked confused, not understanding what had just happened, he looked concerned when Neils ran in a panic, he couldn't understand why, maybe it was because the floor was gone. "is everyone alright?" The other called carefullt kneeling next to his twin looking terrified, as he carefully places his hands on Niles cheek trying to inspect and make sure, he tried not to shoe the anxiety he had as he slowly helped his brother up. "Ni, breath, I want you to stay with Aradia, and do not touch your face." He said carefully moving him to sit . Neil gave Aradia a look. "Don't let him move please, ans dont twll him about the cut." He said in an almost begging tone, making sure only she could hear him. he began to get up, and gather the medical supplies so he could also help anyone else who was hurt Niles frowned "what happened?" @darkkid1000

Aradia simply would nod to Neil "watch your step, there is a hole in the middle of the floor." she would warn before Neil went away. Looking to Niles she would lightly pat his head. "That is for a discussion at a later time. I do have suspicions but, lets let calmer heads prevail. Aside from broken glass everyone is fine and that is all that matter's for right now." She would say coming extremely close to the truth about him being cut but not saying it. It was her way of getting half truths out and if a person really wanted to know would put the puzzle peices together. If Neil or Niles was to check her, she would have just one cut across the back of her hand. It welled with a little blood but aside from looking painful it didn't bleed much. "One thing is certain though, whom ever attempted to ruin this shop will pay." at this the first sign Aradia had ever shown would seep through her words. It was that kind of quiet anger that could make your hairs stand up. She would close her eyes. "mmm I appear to be experiencing a wide influx of emotions today." she would say, attempting to keep Niles distracted while Neil tended to what he needed to.

He worked hard and made sure everyone was safe, and when they were and out of the shop, he finally worked on Niles. He didn't speak at all, he just worked on trying to help his brother, worried about helping him. Niles frowned. "But what happened?" He whispered to Aradia. He looked confused and a bit frightened as Neil patched him up. "Why did they break out Cafe? D-do you think they were angry we gave them a wrong order?" He asked with a slight gulp. "No, we didn't give anyone a wrong order, someone just decided to use us for their sick game...the police said we can't stay here tonight Ni, we gotta go quickly pack a bag, grab important papers so we can get a hotel." He said, knowing the sudden change in routine would cause Niles alot of anxiety. :o-oh." Niles whispered, looking ready to have his freak out, but didn't he looked to Aradia and smiled. "Thank you for protecting me. Sorry you were here when it happened ." @darkkid1000

Aradia shakes her head "I don't know fully what happened, or the reason. I don't like not knowing why I, or my friends are attacked, so I will look into it." she would then look to Neil then to Niles "You two have been most generous. I normally don't extend this offer, but would you like to reside in my home for the time? Until it is deemed safe for you to return here." she would offer, as she extended a hand to the both of them. "I do warn, if you do accept, there will be a few things for you to be aware of and keep in mind as my home is not like normal homes. And can be dangerous if you don't follow couple simple rules." She would add in. "I will explain the rules if you choose to accept, but there is no need to worry about it, until then." She would then stand up looking around with a sigh "At least there was no serious damage, everything can be fixed, simple enough." It was the first time she focused on something other than Niles since the incident, her eyes assessing the broken windows and the hole in the ground. In her mind's eye she could see the devastating damage the attack could of done, the injuries more severe, the body count. as she stared at the hole in the ground her face would set. and she clenched her hands into fists. "They will pay" she whispers to herself as if making a vow, before relaxing her hands and returning to the same balanced state. letting her mind's eye play out what could have been.

Niles looked at her giving a small nod, before Neil could even decine his twin had agreed to the offer. "Please, we would really appreciate your help. We promise to pay you for your troubles, I'm sorry you have to put up with us. But we appreciate your kindness Aradia." Neil sighed, they really didn't have a choice. "Thanks Ara." He replied he'd make a mental note to talk to their bosses later tonight. He paused looking at her with a confused look. "Rules?" He asked with a frown. Niles looked confused "what kind of rules?" He asked as Neil placed a bandage on his cheek. "Like the nice one keep the seat down? We already know that one." He replied trying to lighten the mood. @darkkid1000

Aradia would chuckle looking away from the hole. "No, it's a couple of simple things, the biggest of which, is not to open anything that is labeled not to open, sealed, or has no labels clearly as to what it is. The second rule is not to be hostile towards any clientele, there will be many of different shapes, sizes and various levels of morality. But they are my guests, and must be treated as so. They know the rules as guests and the consequences for breaking said rules. Also, I assure you both none have the intentions or ability to do this attack, they know better. But, if you can follow those two rules, anything else can be explained, or worked around." She would say with slight smile "I don't require payment, or favors. but if you insist if you are not here working our shop. You can assist me in mine. I'm sure my clients would enjoy a couple of fresh faces to interact with. Also you guys will get to see artifacts from other planes of existence." Ariada will walk back over to the two then pat both of their heads. "things will work out in the end." she says attempting to re-assure the two.

Neil sighed as he stood up. "We arnt heathens Aradia, we won't treat your clients like animals. And we wont opened things we armt supose to, wr are gentlemen not heathens." He promised, carefully getting up to gather their things Niles nodded slowly "we won't break the rules. Thank you for letting us stay the night and be here, we truely appreciate it." He said with a kind smile. Carefully getting up to help her towards the apartment. "I. Excited, seeing new artifacts from diffrent places sounds so exciting !" He smiled walking up the stairs, trying to stay upbeat and happy. Neil on the other hand groaned "please no nerd talk while we are packing. I can't handle anymore nerdness." He huffed opening the door so they could enter the apartment. Niles smiled. "Ignore him, he's only mad he failed history in school. So he's a bit sour towards it all." He teased, shakenly walking towards his room. "H-how long should we pack for?" He asked Aradia, giving her a shy look. @darkkid1000

Aradia would shake her head. "I suppose as long as the police deem it unsafe. There is the matter of getting your windows, and floor repaired as well. I would say two weeks at max. The workers I have for repairs won't take that long, but the human police are another matter" she would say following the two. She would giggle slightly towards Neil. "Don't worry Neil, there will be plenty for you to learn, no human school will teach what you will experience at my place. "Of course as long as you think of this realm when you open the doors your back here easily enough." she says looking around the upstairs to ensure nothing was exploded upstairs. She seemed to be relieved that there was no damage done. "I also can take you to a training course where you can punch, swing a sword, or kick a dummy till your heart is content" she would add in for Neil nonchalantly. "And, for you Niles, If you could pull away from the artifacts and devices in my store room, There are other things I can show you in between clients. It is most definitely an experience not just anyone is able to experience." she would say "But I assure you as long as the two rules are followed it is one of the safest places you both can be."

Niles gave a small nod listening to everything she was saying. He was a bit confused when she mentioned all the things they could do at her place. He knew his and Neil's life was strange, but he couldn't help but be curious about how different Aradia's life was as well. "Yes I'd love to see the artifacts Ara, but we will respect your rules I can promise you that." He replied giving a nod. Neil looked at her strongly "punching dummies? Human schools? What the heck are you talking about? All of us are humans? And no, I will learn things on my thank you." He replied rather rudely. He wasn't in the mood to pretend to be nice, he was annoyed and confused, two emotions he hated feeling. "Alright no, what the heck are you talking about? What are we walking into !" He snapped glaring at her. Niles gulped shakenly "please stop Ne, she is being kind letting us stay with her. J-just breath." He whispered flinching when Neil glared at him. "I just...please stop." Neil growled turning on his heels to March towards his bedroom. "You are not treating me like a child Aradia! And that's that!" He shouted slamming his door. Niles held his head taking a deep breath. "I-I'm sorry Ara. I promise everything will be okay." He said looking up at her and giving her a small sad look. "I'm going to pack and ill be right back." He promised, going to his room. But when he entered his heart sank. His master was there... The boys went to Aradia after 16 minutes, Neil looked calmer and Niles looked sick. "Ready?" Neil asked while Niles basically hid behind his brother trying to breath calmly and now cause the others any suspiciousion that anything was wrong. @darkkid1000

Aradia would simply raise her eyebrow, not having a chance to answer his questions. "well, I can undstand not liking the emotions." she would simply say to Niles before smiling at him. "Please go and get what you wish. I can be waiting for you. After the boys come out, Aradia would detect Niles being sheepish, but not wanting to press him on it, as his business was his own. She would simply guide the boys out. Instead of her normal routine of walking along the path she was going before the stop, she would instead walk directly back from where she came from. Leading the boys down a street to what would initally look like an empty abandoned lot on the outskirts of the town. "Ah here we are" she would say with a warmly smile. If the boys could sence magic or energy, they would sense an energy field around the lot that Aradia simply would walk through and with it looking like she was walking through the field that possessed the lot she would eventually stop and turn back "well come on now. sillies." If the boys were to cross the threshhold of the lot, it would appear as if they were stepping in another world It. from an empty lot/field to one with a cherry tree in blossom on the left side, A stone staircase walking up to wooden wrap around deck, and a traditional japanese style building, complete with paper like walls. The building was two stories with what looked like a domed entrance on the right with double doors. The crass and plants that were there was now a nice level dirt path. Aradia would be standing by the double doors on the right. "We will enter through my shop, so you can see where I work, then we can pass through into the rest of the house, where you may make yourself at home." she would gently offer grabbing the door and opening it. If they didn't cross the threshold of the field they would just see what looks like her pantomiming opening a door.

Gentle silky see through cloth would be draped around the walls with and form a canopie over a circular couch with an opening for one to pass through, a table in the center. The couched looked large enough for Aradia to lay on, on the distant end. Incense in the center of the table, and in holders at the entry way. Aradia would simply light the incense in the door way which seemed to trigger the lights, lighting up the room. She would then make her way to the table and light the incense on the table. As she did so it would seem as if she took on a soft glow in nature. "This is my shop, and where I hold most of my meetings. Ever item has its purpose, and has its intended owner, waiting for them to come by when they need it most. To answer your question from earlier Neil. I thought I told you guys before. I am the queen of Dimensional transportation. My clientele consists of others, from different Dimensions. some may look the same as you, while others look vastly different. Some are humans, some are not, and even different time periods are able to be ascertained. My purpose is to keep balance across the multiple planes and assist fate along. I don't wish to treat you like a child Neil, not unless that is what you prefer. But, there is still many things you don't know." As she finished her eyes would seem to glow slightly. Turning and walking to the back of the shop she would knock on the door four times before opening it. "to get to the house from the shop you simply knock four times, any more or any less and you simply just go into the storage room. Niles, I'll be happy to show you that later. From there she would enter to reveal a pretty standard living area, it looked comfortable, and easy to move around in. Some would be heavily forested, some would be walls of other buildings, some would be a tropical beach, and then some would have different seasons as well. Aradia would simply guide the two upstairs to two bedrooms at the end of a hallway. with the doors facing each other. "Here we are, help yourself to anything in the bedroom. You will find your individual rooms are suited to your specific individual needs, likes, and tastes. She would say standing on the other side of the doors. Her hands gesturing towards the two doors, before cupping behind her back. If you have any need or requirements, please feel free to call for me. Niles eyes widened when they arrived at Aradia's shop. The mote he listened the more frightened he was becoming. He hadn't relized she may know more then she was letting on. He tightened his hold on her brothers hand as he slowly making their way toward the front door. Neil hekd his head up, holding Niles hand as they made their way towards the upstairs apartment. Listening to everything she was saying, making notes of all three exists. He had to make sure he knew every single possible exsit for their nightly trips. Once they reached the bedroom, the twins couldn't help but look confused. Giving a small nod they walked into their respected bedroom. Niles eyes widened when he saw his Stuff animal was laying snug on the bed. "How did she?" He whispered, slowly walking over to pick up the stuffie. He smiled happily hugging it close as he turned around. "How did you get Mr teddy here Aradia?" Neil gasped "and my secret one. How!" He asked looking completely horrified. Aradia would give a simple smile to the boys as they returned to the door way. "The house, and shop always provides." she says. "The house is for hospitality, Things that are needed, wanted, tend to manifest and find their way where they need to be on their own accord. As you are guests, the hospitality and requirements for me to be a good hostess is to provide for your needs and wants. Much like the two of you have for me a month or so ago." She would smile straighten up. and point down the hallway with an open hand. "the door on the left is the bathroom, again your desires and needs for the room are in there. The door to the right, is a closet where you may store anything you desire. There is also a pair of magically infused and protected rain coats, in the event you wish to travel in one of the realms, or in your own while it is raining during your stay. I do offer breakfast, afternoon tea, and supper..." she would gesture turning half way to the wall behind her to reveal a dry erase board. "... if you are craving or fancy anything just write it here and either I or the house will provide. If I am busy, the house will probably deliver it faster than I can if I wasn't. Of course the two of you can come and go at any time. To leave into your proper dimension just think of your home, or some place that you know very well and when you open the door you will be there. The residential front door is on the first floor, if you decide to go for a late night walk I ask you use that, as I may be resting in the shop." she would start to look up after explaining the things. folding one arm across her chest and tapping her chin with the other "I... think thats it. Do either of you lovely boys have any more questions?" she would ask, her normal dead pan tone, seemingly way more cheerful in the house and since lighting the incense the boys might be able to deduce she has shown more emotions, and cheerfulness, than they are use to.

Neil had a seriously bad feeling all of a sudden. He listened to Aradia talk about the magical things all around him, he couldn't he'll but frown. "You wouldn't mind if I and Niles shared a room, would you? I would sleep and rest a lot better knowing he is by my side." He admitted, gently grabbing Niles's hand, and dragging him closer to himself. Niles smiled "I would like that, but it'd be whatever you decide Ara." He promised gently holding the teddy close to his chest and leaning into Niles. He knew his twin was pretending not to be anxious, but he could always tell and right now, Neil was terrified which was something he hadn't experienced in a long time. "Say Aradia, I'd like to stay with Neil. I tend to get very paranoid at night, so he would help me alot. Besides we possibly in good conscious let you be out a room if we could share." Niles spoke softly and kindly. He knew it would be easier if one of them needed to sneak out, that having the other there would provide a sort of buffer. (edited)

Stepping pass the two she would wave "make yourselves at home, I will be in my shop if you need me. Feel free to explore at your leisure as long as you follow the two rules." she would wave over her shoulder. However stopping at the end the hallway she would turn and bow to the twins one more time. "Also I assure you, I will find who is responsible for attacking your shop, and home. They will pay, one way or another." she would say her voice growing cold and bitter, indicating her anger and seriousness behind the words. Her voice will then turn cheerful again. If she agreed and went to her Shop, he grabbed Niles arm pulling him quickly into the bedroom closing the door. “NeNe, maybe she can help us, she seems to have knowledge about all….this.” Niles said, eyes wide with hope, but that hope would soon be replaced with grief and fear when Neil looked at him. "but of course this one is located and reserved specifically for you." *~~"what do I pay for this?"~~* "Nothing, your money is no good to me...." she would pause as sounds of bubbles could be heard. "Ah, in four day's time, you will come across strange coin. Bring me the coin directly. I'll be sure the curse doesn't attach to you, but bring me that coin as soon as you find it and it will cover the cost." "~~*what does..."*~~ "It look like? You may find it on a street, at a vendor where you need to purchase, an auction, archeological dig, or given freely as change for a purchase I don't know how you will come across it I just know you will. If you retain the key or do not bring it back, All I can say is bad things will happen, as balance will be upset. and that is something you do not want to contend with." The sound of movement would be heard. If at any point of the conversation, or shortly after before whoever she was talking to left, Neil would see a large shadowman who's outline seemed to shift and bend making it difficult to tell exactly where he began and started but his mind's eye would identify the location he occupied just fine. sitting across from Aradia who was leaning forward with her elbows on her knees chin in the palm of a hand and an all knowing smile on her lips. Or moving he would be moving away from Aradia (whom would be in the same position) towards the exit. Once the shadow man was gone she would stretch and look towards Neil as he spoke. She would smile to Neil. "there is something here that would suit everybody's desires and needs. But as you may know Neil, I'm not in the business of finances." Aradia would stand and slowly walk past him closer to the door before reaching up and pulling on an item. "Each item has their intended owner, despite where they come from. Or how they find themselves here, to wait for their rightful owners. Some items have curses that are ment for certain people, but aren't able to get to that person, and some items contain, or meant to contain spirits or entities that need to be removed from the multiverse until the time is right." In her hand as she walks forward towards Neil is a golden rod that looks ancient and old. The bottom of the handle and midway up the handle would be wrapped in some sort of white ribbon. The top of the handle had what would appear to be an orb, and horns coming out of the base of the orb. A little below that fixture would look to be a small pair of wings. she would hold it out for Neil to examine. "Some items are only here as storage for the time being, waiting for the proper time to be given to their rightful owner." If Neil was to take a hold of the rod the orb would glow slightly as a warm sensation would travel through his fingers. The orb glow and warm feeling would fade shortly, the rod returning to normal. Aradia would nod "Fate and time knows when this will happen. And the item will be in a position to come to the aid when their rightful owner needs them most." she says stepping away attempting to take the rod back from his grasp (if he took it) Setting it on a platform on the back of her couch that she was sitting on.

When he held it in his hands, he suddenly got a scared look on his face, did she work with them? He was confused, how did she get his Rod? The one he lost months ago, the same one Ra had shouted and belittled him for losing, how did it end up in her shop. He didn't think she stole it, no not at all, his first thought went to 'is she a goddess, like our masters?' He looked up at Aradia, slowly gulping, he needed to be a bit more careful about his words now, just to be safe. "I…thank you? What are you Aradia? How do you have all of this? Why do you have all of this ? Of these artifacts, and who the heck was that shadow guy!” he exclaimed as he looked at her shocked look, the look was mixed with fear. Aradia sighed as she made her way to her couch and sat down. "I am the queen of dimensional travel. This shop, my home is my nexus. It's my safe spot where I am in all dimensions and no dimension at once. I know what I know through information and travel, and training. Items and Objects call out to me, they have their own vibrations and and listening to them they tell me who, or where they belong to. My purpose to to bring balance to all things. As far as who that shadow guy was. That was a client, a soul that was in need of something. He lives his own life in his own dimension. He needed something deep down and so he was able to find me. I had the item he needed to learn and carry on with his life. If you are curious about my magic, it is simply just spells i've learned and practiced over the years. The boxes and stuff I ask you and Niles not to open, some contain evil spirits that are bound inside, that seek to destroy. Some contain good spirits that seek to heal and mend. All of which are bound to the boxes till the time is right. I am neither good, nor bad for I am an enitity of neutrality that seeks to keep balance. When someone seeks to tip the scales to one side or the other, they answer to me. no matter how powerful they are." Neil hummed softly trying to think of the better option, he really didn't want to just sit here and worry for Niles. His brother was out brining justice to the world, but he was new to working alone and that can be extremely dangerous, expecally for his meek and reserved self. But if he's not here and Niles shows up hurt, he would hate himself for not being there when his brother most needed him. With a soft sigh he looked to Adaria. "I'm a bit tired from today's chaos, is it okay if we just order Ramen and eat it here? I don't want to leave Niles." He admitted trying to keep up with the lie that Nile was still napping. "If not that's fine...I thought I'd just ask." He replied rubbing the back of his neck, he hoped everything was going well with Niles. @darkkid1000

Aradia would sigh and give a warm smile. Closing her eyes for a moment as if gathering herself. "Alright Neil, Order in it will be. A shame to let the opportunity to try something new, in a new world to go to waste but I suppose there will be others. I will be back momentarily." she says stepping towards the door even more that the shadow figure walked out of. If left un-interrupted she would open the door, and walk through it closing it behind her. The peculiar thing, if Neil was watching her as she did this, he would see that it would appear as if a large black roiling cloud with the occasional jagged streaks of lightning flashing here and there through it was beyond the door, this was accompanied with low rumbles of thunder. She would step out into this dark male storm with a smile on her face, as if it was nothing, before closing the door behind her. The sound of the lock locking on the door could be heard. Several moments later the door connecting the living quarters with the house would open to reveal Ariada standing there. "What you still standing there for Neil come, eat before it gets cold." She would say. as she turned around the hood of her coat would be full of snow, Her hair wrapped up in a bun on top of her hair, being a far cry different from it being down when she left. and two chopsticks holding it in place. In her hand was a bag with a couple of containers that clearly contained the Ramen they were just talking about.

Neil gave a small smile, slowly moving over towards her with a hum. “Thanks for understanding, maybe another day we all could go with you. but i'm also kinda tired myself, today has been a long and stressful day.”he replied watching as she walked through a door and closed it. he raised an eyebrow confused and wondered why she had just done that. his eyes widened when he saw the storm he couldn't believe what he was seeing her go through . He was about to callout to her but stopped when he heard the door lock behind her. Running a hand through his hair he went back to sit down, but jumped as she had suddnelt just appeared. He looked to the door then back to her with wide eyes. "I- what? How did you?" He asked in shock, becoming more confused when he saw her coat full kf snow. Slowly walking over as she handed him his Ramen he couldn't help but the confusion to remain on his face. "How the ever loving heck did you do that?" He asked looking at her with a raised eyebrow. "Thank you." He said slowly sitting on the sofa preparing to eat. Before he could even take the first bite a portal opened up over the table, his eyes widened as he stood up quickly, a body suddenly landed on the coffee table. The body was beaten up badly, coughing and groaning as they tried to roll over. Neils heart stopped when he saw who it was. "Niles!" Rushing to his twins side he quickly took the hood off his head eyes wide as he looked at him. "What happened? It was supose to be a simple stakeout!" He gasped. Niles coughed as he tried to his swollen eyes. "T-there was complications." He whimpered resting his head back against neils shoulder, in so much pain. "It's sorry, I thought I could handle it." He whispered. Neil held him close. "Your okay, your okay I promise." He whispered before looking towards Aradia "I need a medical kit quick!" @darkkid1000
