The illusion lasted only as long as his finger was under each before the words went back to their original script. Holding his breath for a moment before closing the book and returning it to its place on the bookshelf, Cassius glanced over to Sirena with a smirk before speaking, “You do not need to apologize. Any questions you feel you need to ask, please feel free to. This is my manor, but together, it is our home. I do not want you to feel you need to hold your tongue.” Stepping away with his back to Sirena, he brought his left hand up in front of his chest and tapped each of his fingers to his thumb. Casting a silent summoning spell, he felt a draw on his energy as four trained staff members appeared in the kitchen and set to the task of making a meal. Glancing over his shoulder to Sirena, Cassius shrugged before speaking softly, “I’ve been away working overseas, and I want to take the time to relax for a while before I am needed again. I had hoped to spend this time meeting someone new and spending time with them. So, yes, I guess you could say I am lonely.”
Smiling as he turned to face Sirena more directly, Cassius nodded slowly before speaking again, “The staff is making a fine selection of pastas that I hope you will enjoy, so I agree that continuing the tour is best. If you will?” Holding his left hand out casually for her to take it if she’d like, Cassius waited a moment before striding towards one of the side doors that would take them through the remaining rooms of the bottom floor. A sitting room with a wall of windows, a study with three desks that each had new state-of-the-art computers, and a music room with a piano and several other instruments that all had similar aesthetics to the living room and foyer from before. Stopping beside a violin and picking it up gingerly, Cassius glanced to Siri before asking with a grin, “Do you play?”
