It had only been two months since Cassandra's life had takena turn for the worst. She had gone from being a normal person with a relatively normal life. She had an apartment, a simple job, making an average wage. Things had been simple and uncomplicated. But that sure had changed had it not?
That faithful night she had gone out into the club. Gotten a little too tipsy for her own good. She had found a boy to dance with and the dancing had soon turned into more. What she had not known was that he had not come alone.. and his girlfriend was not the forgiving type. Before she knew it she had been dragged behind the building, forced to drink the blood the vampire girlfriend and then left to turn in that back ally.
The transition had been painful, impossible.. she now believed it when people had claimed that people often did not survive a vampiric transition. It had felt like she was breaking bones as her body formed itself into her new self. Her jawline tightening, her hips widening, her fangs forming. It had felt like she was pulled apart and put back together. Her blond hair had turned a black color. Her brown eyes turned to ice blue and her skin suddenly much paler. They said one had to suffer for beauty.. it seemed that was certainly true for a vampire.
After that she had struggled. Nobody was there to help her through the bloodhunger. Normal food not tasting like anything anymore. The need for blood ever growing. But she never knew where to get it till she was too late. The bloodhunger would take over, blinding her. And the next thing she knew she was bend over a sucked dry civilian.
It was perhaps because of that fact that she was on Mavericks hit list. Perhaps she had killed the wrong person, angering them in grief enough to see her dead. Or perhaps someone just wanted to get rid of the newly turned vampire. Whatever the case was. Clarrisa was in danger and she didn't even know it.
