Ayciolera Long ago during a time when the mortal world became distraught and overcome with wars, famines, and technology one goddess grew angry. Gaea the goddess of creation and nature feared for the safety of her own children, the nymphs. Angered by the folly of man she sealed each and every portal or rift that granted the mortals access into her realm. Over time as it continued, the nymphs eventually forgot the mortals who used to visit them. Creatures of vivid colors and wonder that had been thought extinct would begin to thrive. The land once near the brink of destruction began to heal from the havoc that had once be wrought by those that the goddess had shunned with the caring hand of those few remaining fae children. An eon would pass and the idyllic lives of the fae became serene, their time spent caring and tending to the very home that they held so dear. Each fae remaining close to their origin of birth. It was rare for one to venture further than their own forest or river or mountain. That was until Gaea chose to give a test to the mortals. One small rift would be opened granting entry to one lucky mortal man. Would he prove worthy of such a gift or would his journey into the world of Ayciolera end with tragedy and anger once again? blankspace

Trees towered high, branches entwined overhead with light softly filtering in through the canopy above. The ground in the tunnel of trees was soft and untrodden. Wildflowers bloomed around the entry filling the air around it with a sweet aroma that tempted and called to those that may pass. Somewhere a songbird sang on a branch accompanied only by the sound of the wind as it rustled the leaves. The further into the tunnel one would travel the more serene the atmosphere became. The smell of honeysuckles would tickle the nose and the sounds of a bubbling brook could be heard. A soft melodic laugh would be carried through the air with the accompanied sound of tinkling chimes. It could be noted that the trees changed hue. Once dull and lackluster the further one walked the more vibrant the colors would become. Greens, blues and pinks and purples all mixed to create a picturesque scene. Butterflies as big as a small cat could be seen fluttering about to land on moss covered trunks, somewhere nearby the sound of a bunnies could be heard scurrying through the underbrush. Again the soft whisper of a laugh would swirl into the air, an alluring call that perhaps once might follow... @Mois7

It was in this day, that a young man had decided to venture into the deep wilderness of the forest near his home. Reason why is, well... A 'final test of his capabilities', as a obstinate yet wise paladin had told him. Unsure if this was true, a joke, or just a way to get rid of him for some time; he continued making his way through the dense vegetation that was before him. The task was not too hard, he carried a backpack with some supplies and tools, a trusty sword inside a sheath of fine silver engravings, and his pair of paws. Yes, paws, because although in his hometown lived many humans, he was part of a small, modest family of catfolk that worked the fields and land on the outskirts. His objective was settling somewhere to live in the forest, somewhere calm and maybe silent. But moving some branches aside he stumbled into the wonderful tunnel, putting his thought aside for a moment as his eyes, shining like the sun in the summer, bounces from side to side noticing the beautiful colors of the flowers and leaves, which were also exotic and mostly unknown to him. He decided to step into it, being at the very least a clear path through which he could keep advancing to get farther from his home, but slowly being more and more attracted by the smells, sounds and views he was perceiving, With one foot after the other, he would walk through the tunnel. His ears twitched to the singing of the birds as his tongue would sweep over his dry lips thinking about drinking some of the fresh water from the brook he could hear. 'It is almost like a dream....' He thought seeing all what was around him, feeling surrounded by nature he would have never imagined, never having seen it before because it had been hidden for an entire eon. His chin lifted then overhearing some soft laughter, he had thought being this deep he wouldn't meet anyone but, apparently that wasn't the case...
11:08
He gulped down, and shook his head to recompose himself after being hypnotized by his surroundings. He knew of the saying 'Curiosity killed the cat', but he was just too curious to worry about it or think something bad could happen if he decided to follow the voice of the forest. So without much wait, he rolled his shoulders and marched being guided by such mysterious whispers and laughs, his tail wagging softly as he tries to image who could have such voice yet be lost this deep in nature not finding a way to match those two ideas. He just knew he wanted to find out who they were... @EnchantedNymph

Bright green eyes sparkled with wonder as they stared down at a small budding flower. The bright pink bulb grew in size as two pale hands enveloped it in their warmth. A light twinkling sound could be heard as a smile graced the lips of one enchanting forest nymph by the name of Echellia. Green light glowed from her palms as she watched that small bud slowly open it's petals to greet the early morning air. A soft giggle escaping her as she stroked the vibrant petals. This had always been her favorite, helping the new buds to bloom. Helping anything bloom, it gave her life purpose and it gave her a new friend each and every time. Eagerly she moved forward to the next tiny bud waiting to greet the day. Her eyes shutting but for a moment before she let her magic come forth once again. This one too would soon bloom and much as the same Echellia would stroke the petals and let out a soft laugh. Once each and every new flower was helped to bloom her next task would come. To check the sapling that had begun to grow in the meadow. One that she had been working very hard to help the Liriodendron. A specific task that the goddess had given her to test her magic. The task itself was a daunting one but one that gave her life purpose. Echellia was so young compared to the other nymphs who had been alive since before the closure of the rifts. Half their age and only just now coming into her true magics it would be a task that took her quite some time. This test would prove that she was worthy. blankspace

With a sigh Echellia rose from the moss covered root of a rather large maple tree. Her sheer green dress blowing in the breeze as she hopped down, landing perfectly on the moss covered undergrowth. Her bare toes lightly pushing into it as she headed to the edge of the forest. It was only until she rounded that very large tree that she spotted him. A creature she'd never before seen, standing in the center of the meadow as his tail, lightly wagging behind him. A soft gasp leaving her lips as she clung to the base of the tree as her head poked a bit further out. He was a cat but not, he stood on two feet much like she was but he had a snout, and ears and... things she'd never seen before. She took a silent step forward, hidden behind the foliage of the plants around her as she crouched down, her bright and curious eyes as she watched him with a hesitancy. What was he, where had he come from and why was he in her home? So many questions swarmed her mind and her heart began to race. Echellia decided to wait and watch, to see exactly what this new being did and perhaps to find out what exactly it wanted. @Mois7

He had reached the meadow, quite out of breath after rushing trying to reach the voice he had heard and looking around trying to find it. However, the colorful flowers gave a complete new background, camouflaging her from his unused eyes. He stopped as he reached the center, spinning a few times to visualize the new surroundings and letting out a gasp noticing how open yet unknown everything looked. For a moment he wondered if his gentle distraction had gotten him lost. He dropped to his knees feeling out of air both from the views and from running earlier. Tugging his shirt a few times, he vents the warm air out of his clothes and gear as he takes a moment to process where he is. His pointy ears could be seen peaking over the grass like the seals of a distant ship, a voyager reaching new lands that's what he was. His golden yellow eyes glanced at the sky with certain ambiguity. The air felt fresher out of a sudden in this place, and the sun was bright like he had never seen before, the sky bluer, and the wind gentler... Where had he ended up he wondered. His heart told him it was a paradise while his mind told him it was an illusion, he didn't know what to think anymore and just wanted to check more and more what this place had to offer. He took off his leather bag, relegating his shoulders from it's heavy weigh before he stood up again. He stretched up, first his arms trying to grab the clouds before his torso arched feeling a soft crack loose his spine. Then, one of the huge butterflies fluttered close to him, calling his attention with it's usual yet beautiful dance, it made him smile remembering his younger self always trying to trap their beauty inside a jar to enjoy all what he wanted, though growing up he learned their beauty would always last longer if let free deciding to let them go flutter somewhere else, at least today.
14:48
Resting one of his hands in his waist, he played with his belt as he scratched under his chin. He was still thirsty, and a bit hungry too, maybe it wasn't a bad idea to stop his travel for today and rest some time in that meadow he thought. And so he began roaming around having left his bag near the center as he now followed the watery sounds of the brook, the laughing being stopped now made him thought maybe it had been his imagination maybe mixing the different singing of the birds or something else as he wasn't able to find the source. With an excited gasp, he got down before the brook's shore seeing his reflection in the water before deforming it sinking his hands into it. He cupped them and brought them to his mouth taking a good sip. His eyes fluttered for a moment feeling how cold it was, feeling like a nice reward for walking the whole morning he repeated sinking his hands in the brook again, drinking as his tail wagged faster and he chuckled softly feeling peaceful in this environment, alone with his thoughts, or so he thought... @EnchantedNymph

The two legged cat left his bag, heading to the brook a little ways in the distance though not far enough that she wouldn't be able to spot him. Echellia waited several breaths, her long and delicate hands brushing side the overly large flowers to watch him as he went. Feeling safe enough to venture out of her hiding spot she silently moved across the meadow until she reached the things he had left behind. Ever curious she bent down, poking the bag and watched as if waiting for something to happen. When nothing had she moved closer from her crouched position, moving her legs much like a crab would until she was close enough to grab a nearby twig, poking it one more time before she settled on it being harmless. It being safe she began to rifle through the things inside, pulling out things. There was a smaller pointy stick made out of something she couldn't figure out. It smelled tangy and shaking her head she tossed it aside before picking up the next item. A soft stone shaped light thing that smelled very curious but she held no interest in, next there was another odd shiny thing with for tiny twig like appendages which also didn't hold her interest. A yellow square thing that smelled even more curious than the other items to which she took a bite of. The oddest of flavors exploded on her tongue as she scrunched her face up in surprise, spitting it out and tossing it aside with the other discarded things. blankspace
16:18
She glanced up from where she was crouched as the breeze blew once more, the being bent to drink from the brook and Echellia went back to looking inside. The final thing she would pull reminded her of the way the water reflected the smooth curved surface reflecting a poor image of herself but flipped upside down. Sniffing it she took a bite, that same tanginess that two other items had but this one she would keep. Sticking it behind her ear much like one would a flower. The bag no longer holding her interest she quietly made her way to the brook, using the trees and plants as camouflage. The sound of the water splashing on rocks nearby was a soothing thing that also masked the what she had planned to do next. Careful not to be spotted she went further down to one of the larger trees beside the brook. Quietly she began to climb one of the low hanging branches before going higher still. Crouched and hugging her knees she watched as he drank from the water. Her head tilted in curiosity as she contemplated moving closer. Whatever he was she did know that he did not belong and that was simply because most of the living creatures within her forest were deer, rabbits, fish, turtles, wolves and many other various animals that thrived. Yet never once had she seen one that walked on two feet such as he, and he was clothed, dressed in strange items. blankspace
16:18
Across the brook on the other bank one very such creature she had listed in her head made it's way to drink much like the two-legged cat. It's head bending low as it's tongue darted out to sample the fresh waters that the forest provided. It's antlers were tall and long, very different from the ones on her very own head and she reached up, touching one of the small spiked things. She never understood why she'd had them, just knew that she always had, they'd stopped growing just a few years prior much to her relief. The cat chuckled and the deer lifted it's head staring at him for a moment before darting back through the bushes, it's white tail appearing for but a moment as it hopped away. @Mois7

The traveler satisfied his primal needs with the water of the brook, the fur of his hands having absorbed the moisture just as much as his lips. He was too immersed in his thoughts of what this place was to actually notice what was happening behind his back. Once done, he sat back glancing to the opposite side of the river with his legs crossed, a drop of water slicing down one of his whiskers as he notices the presence of one of the bigger inhabitants of this place. He had never seen a deer that close before, his eyes running over it's figure as he keeps silent seeing how they also began to drink. He let out a chuckle, thinking they were not so different and then gasping when he say that short noise had alerted the deer making it run away. His ears lowered softly because of it, but there was nothing he could really do about it so he continued with what he was doing. He leaned closer to the water again, and this time splashed his expression to clear his eyes and refresh his hair, shaking his head afterwards to get rid of the excess and getting up walking back to the bag as some water dripped from the tufts hanging over his shoulders. It was then that he saw the mess that was left of his belongings, rushing closer and pulling up his bag. "What the hell...?"
03:56
He pat the bag feeling how empty it was now, and then his head turned to all sides and angles trying to find who was responsible for that, huffing and letting out some cursing words. He began picking up his things placing them back inside, seeing him blow and rub the dirt off that light yellow block she had taken a bite of as well ask taking the small shiny sticks from the ground. It was clear he noticed one of them was left, brushing the grass with his fingers for a few minutes before giving up on it. He stood once more looking around wondering what could have caused it, a wild animal would have taken the food for sure but it was still there... so he was starting to doubt if he was alone or not here again. He decided to keep an eye out, maybe he was being observed and the thought of it made him cling a bit tighter to his sword. There was no matter, he just wasn't able to see anyone in this place but he didn't trust someone could actually be here wanting to hurt him or take his things. He began walking again as he made a plan on what to do, still feeling his legs a bit tired and complaining with twitches and cramping not wanting to follow his orders correctly. He reached the edge of the meadow, finding the shadow of some trees he came to an idea. He was going to sit down with his back against one of the tree trunks, hugging his bag before his chest and keeping his eyes half closed to watch over the meadow but by the looks being asleep taking a nap. His toes moved feeling the warm of the sun caress them while the rest of his body remained covered from the sun by the gentile blanket of leaves of the tree he had chosen to lean on. Now, it was just a matter of waiting to see if something happened while he rested... @EnchantedNymph

He'd moved back to his things and she remained up in that tree, watching him the entire time from her new vantage point. Her arms wrapped around her legs as he replaced the things that had been taken out and disregarded haphazardly. Guilt was not a feeling she'd ever had nor did she as he held onto his bag, his eyes scanning his surroundings. He wouldn't see her, not with how well she blended in to her forest. She knew everything like the back of her hand, inside and out. The plants were her friends and she wouldn't be seen unless she wanted to be, which currently she very much did not. She still didn't know his intentions, her heart still uneasy at this being who had entered her world, her home. He headed for her forest and her lips pursed, her eyebrows scrunching together as she watched him. That same tree that she had been hidden behind was now where he chose to rest. Her tree, the tree in which she would spend afternoons lounging against idly when using her magic had made her grow tired. This unfamiliar feeling that bubbled up inside her had a huff escaping her lips as he sat down, his back against it as he clung to his bag. Minutes ticked by as she watched, his eyes drifted shut and still she didn't move. Not until the bunnies came back out of their burrows, the birds taking flight to swoop down for some left over crumbs of the food he had picked back up. Slowly, quietly she would lower herself from the tree, sliding down with an otherworldly grace. She didn't take the same exact path that the cat had, instead choosing to follow the brook until she was at the edge of the forest herself. She would weave through the trees, her hand touching each and every trunk that she passed. blankspace
10:21
The closer she grew to his sleeping form the slower she became, that unease very much there yet her curiosity still pulling her forward. She was nearly within touching distance now though behind that very tree he rested against. The smell of honeysuckle and lilacs would only increase with each step that she took. Her head peaked from around the trunk, her hand still resting against the rough bark of the tree until she was right beside him. She bent down then, leaning in until her face was close enough that she could see the fine details of his fur. She blinked, her fingers twitching as the temptation to reach out and touch him grew. Did his fur feel similar to the fur of the wild cats that roamed her home? Was it softer? Her head tilted as her eyes traveled over him until they came to the long strange stick at his side, her hand hesitantly rose as if to reach for it. Not to take it, but to see what it was, surely it was not a stick. But what was it? What use did it have? @Mois7

He made himself comfortable against the crust of the tree, shifting for a moment adjusting his posture as his tail sliced between his 2 legs lifting and rising calmly to the sights. It was quite a good spot, one he could think beautiful to watch over the meadow and rest. Letting out a sight, he half-closed his eyes till the white of his eyes wasn't visible but he was still able to distinguish more or less what was happening in front of him. And adding to that, his ears stayed high over his head, like sonars mapping out the surroundings. Minutes passed, and he could see how the birds swept the place he was earlier picking at every crumb he left behind him. He started thinking if he was over reacting, maybe it was just a hare that happened to run into his bag and throw everything away or similar. After all why would someone mess his things and then hide away? He wondered for very long, stating to even feel sleepy from how calm his body was feeling, the warm of the sun crawling up his legs making him feel nice. But then, one of his ears twitched hearing something touch the tree he was leaning on, and his body tensed. He could not avoid feeling nervous out of a sudden, he had not seen the possibility that something cloud approach from behind and now he was defenseless in that position. His jaw pressed down against his teeth, and his eyelids tensed up too much to keep half open ending up closing fully to try and keep his cover. He decided to stay still, he didn't know what could it be but now he was sure there was something or someone next to him but he could not see being so tense....
11:19
The sword was still by his side, and he tried to focus on that thought to feel safe, from what he knew it could even be a bear and he wouldn't have any chances but to play death. For her eyes, it seemed like a bigger version of that small inverted mirror she took from him, his hand still grabbing it however but she could see how beautiful it was. A sheath made of birch wood painted white, and bronze hinges joining it to his belt with straps. The composed of a guard decorated with white metals in the shape of waves, just as well as a circular pommel reflecting the rays of the sun into her eyes in a strange hue of colors. "S-Stop! What are-...?" Feeling how she shifted closer, and then her hand reaching to his weapon, he couldn't hold still anymore. His right hand pounced in reaction to protect its twin still holding the sword, spread open before his fingers lock with his thumb around her wrist giving her a very new sensation; the firm grip of another person. His eyes opened widely and his head turned towards her in a blink, his pupils first being big before they sharpen due to the brightness of the area. His glace met with hers, and he deepened in her alluring eyes like a sea full of treasures, and he could almost feel his initial fear turn into something else upon seeing who it was. He still didn't know her, but her mere look made him calm a little although his hand didn't seem ready to release her yet. He gulped, and his mouth opened again looking up at her. "... Who are you?" @EnchantedNymph

'S-Stop! What are-...?' The being before her had spoken, his words disrupting the peaceful silence that had been the norm for an eon. The unfamiliar words carried away on the wind as Echellia's eyes grew wide. One of his paws went for the thing at his side that she had meant to touch while the other moved to grip her wrist. It wrapped easily around her dainty wrist. She'd never been touched before, not by another being like this and it sent an unfamiliar wave of feelings through her entire being. What did his words mean? At first she wasn't sure, her mind holding on to the confusion of the jumbled sounds that had tumbled out of his lips. Then, she felt an odd thrum of energy course through her, a soft gasp escaping her as his eyes focused on her face. His teeth glistened as he spoke and she blinked rapidly, stumbling backwards only to fall on her rear. Where her free hand touched tiny flower buds began to bloom. 'Who are you?' She could understand him! She watched with curiosity as his mouth moved to form the words. Though they were different she could tell that he used both his tongue and lips to enunciate each one. He was asking for her name, the thing that her mother had whispered to her on the wind when she had emerged from her tree for the very first time. Blinking again she moved her mouth much in the way he had and at first the sounds came out jumbled, clearly struggling as she'd never once spoken before. Her head shook out of frustration as she attempted again. The soft melodic sound of her voice holding a warmth like the rays of sunshine. "Echellia" She lifted her still free hand and pointed to herself. Her hand then moved to tug at her wrist as she tried to free herself from his grasp. Her brows still scrunched together looking from him to her hand in exasperation. @Mois7

He had let himself be carried by the moment of panic, pouncing like a cornered prey. His hand on her waist remained as he was focused on her, the grip on his sword still strong with an inch of blade exposed to the air between them after having pulled that sudden reaction. His eyes shivered still, jumping from side to side as he captures her shape in his mind recognizing her like of no danger. His lips opened slightly listening to her try to speak, recognizing the strange patron her lips followed as she struggled to respond to such a simple question. 'Echellia' "Echellia...?" He repeated slowly as he tilted his head to the side, still a bit mesmerized by her glance just like watching a spark light a fire in a long cold winter. He was startled out of trance by her gentile tug asking for her arm to be freed. He barely had time for it, but his paw could already feel how smooth her skin was, just as well as she could feel how soft the fur surrounding his hand was. He swallowed empty breath and then opened his hand, not finding need to hold her like that any longer though staying in guard for any other moves she might try to do on him. He leaned his back against the tree, looking at her for the corner of his eyes as he showed a light frown. What was she doing here, and why had she approached him so silently? He wondered the reasons she might have to do those actions, staring in silence as his ight hand rested on his lap again. "What are you doing so deep in the forest, don't you know there are dangerous animals here?" He said determined, his voice being heard again sounding more echoing and complex than the sounds other animals of the forest could create, although maybe not as beautiful as the singing of the birds. He was having some confronted feeling looking at her he was still to clear out in his mind, though for now he wasn't taking his eyes out of her, partially in curiosity and being blinded by her beauty. But also out of caution. @Poison Nymphy❧ (edited)

Her wrist had been released and she stumbled backward though she managed to catch herself, only lightly falling onto her butt from the crouched position she had been in. Her eyes went wide slightly as she pursed her lips. A look of exasperation falling across her face as she moved back a bit, now unsure of what she should do since she had been caught. The spoon still behind her ear sparkled in the early morning light as she cocked her head to the side and pointed to herself. "Echellia." Then she pointed to him, indicated she wanted to know what he was, who he was. His words, while she could understand them now still confused her. What could be so dangerous about the forest in which she had lived in the entirety of her life? Even the carnivorous animals were tame when it came to her. They knew, unlike him, that she was their protector, the very reason that the forest thrived. Her head tilted to the side, the puzzled expression on her face letting him know that she did not understand what he meant. Her mind held that same fuzziness that she began to realize was some sort of innate magic, magic that was not her own as his words became clearer, less puzzling but her own attempt to form speech coming from the lack of context in which the words meant. Sitting up on her knees she shook her head, indicating the forest behind him. She moved closer, placing her hand on the tree next to his head as she stared into his much larger eyes. Her other hand slowly moved over her heart. "Home." Her eyes sparkled as she looked down at him, the light flecks of gold within the green swirling as she pointed at him once again. "Animal?" Her hand remained on the tree, her body hovering over him as a light breeze picked up, the sheer fabric of her dress blowing with it as her hair whipped around. That same smell of honeysuckle that he'd smelled earlier even stronger now as she hovered over him. It was clear that communication, at least for now were left to one word answers.

His eyes continued to capture her at all times, mostly looking the movements she did with her hands although her expression was also something he dedicated it's own moment to read. She shifted closer to him, making his head turn again looking up at her with a hint of doubt. Her dress was as colorful as the place around them, which he still had not figured out but at this point knew it wasn't the forest he had know so well before. Now with the tables turning, she points her finger at him questioning something which took him a bit to process, sighing and then opening his lips again. "My name is Randu, nothing more nothing less" His tone was stern, firm, with his name being said with pride and fervor. He always had being proud of his name, being one of the things he protected and cared the most not letting anyone trample it with funny nicks or abbreviations. He was still quite tense with how she was behaving, but at least he was convinced she was not dangerous to him, and actually began wondering if this woman had a problem of some kind. She seemed to barely understand him, and was struggling to talk, so there had to be something going on with her. 'Home' "Home...? You live here?" He asked after a short moment, the breeze hitting his face causing him to blink and lean his head away from her. Although, the wind also made him notice the sweet smell he had perceived earlier was coming from her, and thought probably the laughs too. Though most importantly, he had found the thieve who had trashed his things just as he intended. His pupils sharpening as she notices the spoon behind her ear letting go another groan. "Grr... So it was you?! You never got taught to not touch someone else's stuff? that doesn't belong to you"
14:48
She might be a criminal, but the sword wasn't needed, so he let go of it and lifted his hand towards her. Palm open, he tries to reach for the spoon slicing his fingers over her cheek caressing it. She was able to see his approach with clarity, and he was also being careful just wanting his stuff back and not cause her to flinch. In his eyes seeing he was bothered by this encounter, but also showing some warm inside him which came in addition to how gentile his attempt was. @EnchantedNymph

"Ran...du." Echellia tilted her head as she formed the sounds on her lips, her tongue pressing into the roof of her mouth. "Echellia." She touched her chest before pointing at his. "Randu." This time the name came from her mouth a bit more effortlessly, her eyes sparkling. The nod that would follow his question would answer him well enough, her lips pressing together to form a thin line in that moment. Why it seemed an odd thought that a nymph would live in a forest she didn't understand, though where he had even come from himself was another thing entirely that she could not comprehend herself. She blinked rapidly, her brows still furrowed together the small groan left him. The hand that moved to reach for the spoon caressed her cheek and Echellia couldn't help the gasp that escaped her. A sensation she'd never felt before making her cheeks flush as she pulled back. Even with his slow movements it had startled her, though not for a reason he would think. Tiny roots rose from the ground then, rising up to grip at his hand that had touched her cheek, wrapping themselves around his wrist. They were by no means strong and sturdy, but it would be enough to perhaps shock him into stopping his advances. She didn't understand why he seemed agitated and upset, the concept of having belongings a foreign concept to the enchanting forest creature. Everything came naturally and was shared by all who lived within, ownership was not a thing nor a word she could understand, even with the help of whatever magic was helping her communicate.

His eyes were bright like the morning sun, looking into hers as he made his approach. He had thought she was just a human from the glance he got from her looks, so when she pulled away and he found his hand being stopped by the roots a cold shiver ran down his spine, causing him to struggle and shake his hand roughly trying to break away. He didn't know much about magic, though he knew of the dangers of interacting with those who were able to use it to manipulate the world around them. In his mind flash old stories of witches that hid in the woods and for a moment she can see some desperation in his eyes as he stands up and tries to use his other hand to pull the roots off him. He looked back at her and down at his hand still processing what was happening, breathing heavily standing on his feet. He slowly tries to calm himself from those events taking a step away from her and leaning a hand on the tree, his nails scratching the cortex by accident. "Alright, keep it if you wish, just.... I don't want problems alright?" He said rubbing his teeth, his ears dropping and his head lowering trying to not seem threatening towards her in case she could grow angry at him for some reason. The sword on his side swung from side to side as he stood there, catching his attention but out of caution he decided to not touch it this time, just keeping silent staring at her, his eyebrows risen expectantly of what she might do now. @EnchantedNymph

She hadn't meant to scare him, just trying to prevent him from taking the thing in which she had found and liked, but more so the startled feeling she had felt when his hand had touched her face. She'd never had another being of sentience touch her before. The roots would break easily as he pulled on his arm, falling away and once again going into the earth once again. His nails scratched the tree in which he'd leaned on, sap dripped from the thin slashes and Echellia's eyes went wide, a sob escaping her as she sprung from the ground in which she had been sitting. One moment she was in front of him, the other she was against the tree, her eyes more full of sorrow than of anger as her hand moved to shove him out of the way with enough force that would dictate that she was not in fact physically weak as well as the magical powers she possessed. She didn't pay him any mind as he spoke, her attention on the tree itself as her hands began to glow, the bark couldn't be healed the same way an animal could but there were other things Echellia knew she could do. Her hands began to glow green and her eyes shut as her forehead pressed against the tree. A soft hum leaving her as moss began to spring out from underneath her hand until it covered the entirety of the cuts his nails had caused. Panting lightly she turned to look at him accusatorily. A look of hurt on her face as she stared into his eyes. She didn't understand why he would do such a thing and then she'd remembered the thing behind her ear. Pulling it from behind it she tossed it at him, it hitting him square in the chest before falling down to the ground at his feet. If it had meant more to him than that of the nature around him then she didn't want it, didn't need it. A tear fell from her eye as she seemed to move to place herself between him and the tree, as if protecting it.

He had pulled out his nails by accident, out of the surprise the roots have caused in him. Yet it showed to be sharp enough to hurt the poor tree he had leaned his body on just moments ago. He hadn't even noticed he had scratched it until she was pushed away, causing him to squeak and notice how focused Echellia was in that tree. He was still a bit afraid of her magic for now not having being directed to him on a harmful way though he didn't doubt it would if he was to make her more angry, that was how things usually were from the place he had come from at least... He pat his arm, looking at his hand with some of the sap still on his fingers when the spoon bounced off his chest. His eyes looked at her, her expression and body language clearly telling him to refrain from touching the tree. Maybe she liked that tree for some reason? He wondered, not familiar with the concept of protecting something as trivial as a tree with such determination even for a minor scratch. She said this was her home, but still he wasn't connecting the logic that was behind what she wanted. "ah....I'm sorry? I don't know what's your problem" He muttered, shrugging and then picking up the spoon from the ground, blowing the dirt off of it and storing it in his pocket. He scratched the back of his neck and then sighed as he thought what to say that she could understand. "I am going to live somewhere close... I NEED to settle somewhere. So if you are fine with it, I will leave that way, alright?"

He smoke slowly, taking a few steps away as he looked in the direction he pointed behind him, giving her another glance before giving a little wave and turning to leave through deeper in the forest. If that meadow was her home, he didn't want to mess with it, simple as that though he was afraid she actually meant the whole forest was her home... in which case he would get in trouble when he needs wood to build a shed and also make a campfire for tonight... Things weren't looking so good for him. @EnchantedNymph

She watched as he bent to pick up the spoon, his muttering was understood but the apology didn't seem as heartfelt. She still leaned against the tree, the breeze and the tree's embrace a comfort behind her as she stared at the complex creature that was Randu. She didn't understand a lot of things, his thinking, his reaction to her using the magic that came to her so naturally, or the fact that he had said he'd be loving somewhere close. After all, why would he live in her forest? Where had he even come from? He spoke again and she watched as his lips moved as he enunciated each word. The tree at her bag she pointed in the direction in which he had. "Go." He needed to leave, that much was certain. Interesting creature or not he had wounded the tree unintentionally and she was still upset about it. She didn't even follow him with her eyes as she turned back to observe the tree, her hand stroking over the moss that had formed. Soon the events of their interaction would leave her mind, the sun going ever higher I the sky reminding her that she still had tasks to complete, a tree sapling to give energy, and animals to check on before she could go about her afternoon lounging. Her own version of music soon once again traveling on the breeze with the twinkling of her magic each time she used it. It wasn't until she had begun to make her way back into the forest that she recalled it had been the way that Randu had gone. The intruder from an unknown world. Perhaps she should check on him, see where he had gone in the forest. Stepping beneath the shade of a very large tree she would place her hand on it's trunk. Her eyes closing as she followed it's heart to its roots and further still. The forest whispering it's secrets to her as she sought out which did not belong. When she found him her eyes would open and she would head in that direction. Determined to make sure he didn't ruin any more of her forest.

Roaming through the forest, his mind stays busy thinking on their interaction. Part of him was still curious of who she was, but another part was troubled with the idea of what she could do to him if he ended in her bad side. He tried to calm his mind looking for the place he was going to settle for the night and probably also the rest of his test. A few minutes later, he finds himself in a small glade, a forgiven place where the treetops had left uncover to serve as a window to the sky. He had a look around that place, finding it comfortable to stay putting down his things with a relieved sigh. He decided to explore the surroundings for a bit, taking mental note of the resources he had around and also finding a brook big enough for fish to swim in it's waters. He returned to the glade feeling happy he had water and food close of home, and started picking broken branches the old trees had discarded from their bodies as well as small twigs and stones. His idea was preparing a fire to cook the food he had brought and also keep him warm for when the cold night overthrows the sun and it's light. He piled the stones he had collected into a circle, and filled the interior with the sticks and tinder. Once Echellia reached where he was, he had already lighted a fire... A small one, not like the ones she could have see turn the forest into ashes. Inside the circle of rocks it remained contained, tamed by his feeding hand giving more little twigs to keep it alive. It's light was almost hypnotizing, like a dance the flames showed the chaotic nature of their origin. He seemed uninterested in it however, having seen it many times already, instead moving his attention to cutting bread, and some of the jam he had packed placing it on a pan already hissing from being on the cracking fire. @EnchantedNymph

Fire. A thing in which she had only experienced a handful of times. A wild untamable beast that had no thoughts, only destruction. Echellia hadn't liked it before when it'd razed a part of her forest, culling all the old dead trees. She had been so close to being burned before, the heat of it in her memory still to this day even though it'd been at least a decade since. So to say she was shocked, seeing that same beat in a contained circle was an understatement. Bewilderment, fearful, wary. She was a swirl of emotions as she crept up to the edge of the glade. Hiding behind the very tree in which she had come from, with that fire so close... She watched as he placed a round thing on top of it. Uninterested and unwary of the very thing that had nearly... Echellia stepped forward, her foot stepping on a discarded twig, it's snap louder than that of the snapping of the fire. Eyes wide she quickly hid, her heart hammering inside her chest as she clung to the tree trunk. Her eyes closing as she waited, hopeful he would think it was just some wild beast passing by and that he had not actually seen her. Several heartbeats would pass before she would risk looking again, her green hair poking over the side of the tree as her pale face soon joined it. @Mois7

Randu was poking the meat on the pan with a stick, already licking his lips enjoining the smell mixing in the air and not being focused on what was happening around him in the bushes. But, a crack just on the edge of the glade echoed just enough to make one of his ears twitch, and for him to lift his gaze from his succulent meal. Echellia had time enough to hide when it happened. Though for Randu, already knowing there was someone else in the forest as well as probably also wild beast, was enough to keep him on watch on that area for a few moments. He saw the green of her hair poke out, and then her face again being lighted with an orange tonality by the fire next to him. He squeezed his eyes at her, ad then sighed stirring the edibles of the pan some more. "I can see you" He said simply, a bit bothered as their previous encounter wasn't exactly pleasurable for him. His eyes flicker from the fire to her, paying attention to both of them as he continued cooking and then lifted the stirring stick pointing at the tree she was hiding behind of. "You know... I would prefer to fall asleep knowing you ain't gonna try to kill me or or steal again while I sleep, sneaking around ain't helping. He spoke, sighing again not knowing what to do in that situation, if to fear or trust her. She was weird in his eyes, but also beautiful and quite mysterious. If she also lived in this place it was better for him to have her as a friend than an ally as his wished future depended on being able to survive in this environment, which he still did not know was her very own birth home. @EnchantedNymph

He was controlling the fire like she helped the plants grow, at least that was what it looked like to Echellia. Her eyes remained wide as she continued to watch, even after he had stated he could see her. Too shy perhaps to approach or perhaps still upset with that he had done to the tree. It was hard to tell, she couldn't even understand her own emotions about it really. On the one hand she wanted to approach him, this was the first real being with sentience that she had ever come across other than herself and there was a longing there. A longing that she couldn't even comprehend yet. His next statement had her moving around the tree though her fingers remained to touch the tree. She was too nervous to approach, the fire too bright, the heat even reaching slightly to where she was. She swallowed, her eyes moving from the flickering flames to Randu. The smell of the food he was cooking wafted over to her and her stomach rumbled. It wasn't necessarily a requirement for her to eat that often, but now was one of those times where she truly was hungry. Having used more magic than she had been intending for the day. The smells were unlike anything she'd ever smelt before and it caused her mouth to water. An odd sensation but one that had her curiosity overtaking that anxiety as she moved from the tree, slowly approaching him, though she kept a wide berth between her and the fire itself, even if it did look contained. She knew it was a fickle beast. She stopped when she was about five feet from him, her hands by her side as she waited, her eyes moving from him to the fire. blankspace

"Fire." A word she'd never used before, never uttered from her plump lips yet came so easily as the magic she had been blessed with took effect. "Bad." She pointed at it and then at the forest. Her arms crossed though not out of anger, more like she was protecting herself from something, from the fire itself. There was a louder crackle and she jumped, taking a few more steps aways from the fire. @Mois7

He observed her patiently, analyzing her with his eyes once more as she approached. His mind still tried to figure out what was with her living in this place, her way of talking almost seemed wild, like if she wasn't civilized, but her clothes and looks suggested otherways. Maybe she just didn't spoke his same language? He wondered for a moment, but even if so, when he left town he never heard of people living in or on the other side of the forest which would have been important to know. He noticed the way her lips moved and glance towards the fire. And he himself looked down at the food taking it off as it was ready. He thought she might be hungry, though he didn't make food for 2 people and would be hard to share. He scratched the back of his head and lifted his head when she finally spoke, being confused for a few moment specially when she seemed to fear the fire. "Hm? What's wrong? It is just a bonfire" he said tilting his head "Even with my fur I can feel it is somewhat cold, don't you want to warm up?" He stayed quiet for a moment, and then sighed "don't worry... I am not going to burn your trees or... Whatever" His yellow eyes glowed reflecting the fire while he stared at her, his eyes looking sharp due to the amount of light in front of him. He took the bread out of his bag, parting it in 2 and then cutting the chunks in half the long way with the sharp stick she saw earlier, a knife. Even if he wasn't very happy about it, he was taught to share and wouldn't feel right about himself if he where to eat now and have her just watching, and before she could notice it he was filling the bread with equal portions of the oily meat of the pan. "Here... You can have some too, but don't get used to this"

His arm stretched, reaching in her direction but holding the sandwich as an offering. He didn't think it could be enough to bury the axe the 2 seemed to have forged together earlier, but he didn't know why that even happened in the first place, from his perspective having gotten stolen from and then pushed away for scratching a tree. @EnchantedNymph

Just a bonfire. The words made her look at him quizzically, her head tilting to the side. "Control...how?" Her brows pushed together, her lips turned down in a frown. She only slightly relaxed, hearing that he didn't intend to burn down her home. How he expected to control such a thing was a foreign concept for Echellia. That fear she had felt was soon replaced by curiosity, watching as he pulled out the things from earlier, he cut them, stacking all the things together, including the meat he had been cooking in the pan. He'd held half out for her to take and she stared at it, hesitating. She took a few steps close, taking the offering from his hand, her smaller more petite one touching his but for a moment. She looked from the offered, what she had gathered was food, though what it was called she had no clue. Her mouth watered as she brought it up, sniffing it curiously. The first initial bite still had that hesitancy even though it smelt delicious. She'd never had meat before, always relying on the plants in which offered her their fruit. It was delicious, it was euphoria dancing on her tongue as she chewed, swallowing all to eagerly as her eyes sparkled with delight. Another bite and she released a sound of pure joy, a soft hum from her chest as she quickly crouched down to sit, wanting nothing more than to enjoy the food she'd been given. "Name? this?" She asked, her words muffled by the copious amount of bites in her mouth as she chewed, resembling a chipmunk some what. @Mois7

"Ah.... Control?" He asked scratching his cheek looking at the fire "Like... just keeping it away from everything I don't want to burn is enough to 'control' it?" He blinked, dumbfounded with the short of questions that woman was coming up with at that very moment, as if she had never seeing such things for him were so simple and basic. The food was given, and he watched her nibble the food as if she had not eaten in months, he too biting into it though it was clear his focus was on observing how she behaved. He smiled a little, finding funny the expressions and little sounds she was making right in front of him while she sat down. He was still a bit mesmerized with her beauty, never having seen someone with like her before and her skin looking unmarked by the pass of years or brushes from having done some kind of work. "That's a sandwich, with cheese and meat" He replied with a soft tone, leaning closer to her face. He had noticed the spoon between her hair before, but he was so stunned earlier when he was surprised at the tree he did not notice how pointy her ears were, nor the fact she had horns. He kept quiet for a few moments as he continued eating, some bites from the meaty sandwich before also having some of the vegetables from the pan. When he had finished, he then asked "Hm... What are you exactly...?". He tried to question it as gentile as possible, not wanting to offend her now that she had approached in a better mood than before @EnchantedNymph

He didn't quite understand her question, but she hadn't minded. If he could control the beast she would trust him...for now and only because he gave her the delicious offering that was now within her hands. She ate bite after bite excitedly, enjoying the explosion of flavors on her tongue. He told her the name of it and she stared at it for a long moment, working on the mouth full of bites that she'd taken. Enjoying the taste of it as she swallowed them down. Amazed her eyes looked up at him. "Sand-witch. Sandwich!" She rocked side to side, taking more bites of it until it was about halfway gone. Clearly not as refined and certainly more beastly than one might imagine a nymph to be like. It didn't concern Echellia however, too wrapped up in this new found treat that she had been given. Randu had leaned in and she paused, her mouth once again full as her cheeks puffed out. Her head tilted to the side as her heart beat a little oddly, her chewing slowing down as he asked his question. What was she? That was easy. She'd told him before. Quickly chewing she swallowed so that she could answer. "Echellia." One hand moved to press against her chest. Then that familiar tingling sensation that made her brain tickle happened and she understood what he meant, a hum leaving her as she leaned in, her eyes big as she blinked at him. "Echellia is..." Her mind tried to figure out how to communicate the right words. "a nymph." She stated matter-of-factly. They'd come out whispered and soon she leaned back away from him, finishing off the last few bites of food that had been offered. She was a little sad it was now gone, and truth be told she was still rather hungry, especially after the amount of energy she had exerted to heal the tree. blankspace

Biting her lip she placed her hand into the soil, her eyes closed as she began to sing a soft melody. There were no words but there was an intent, one that Randu might not quite understand but would soon come to see. The earth began to shake slightly beneath her hand and soon a sprout would come up between her thumb and pointer finger. It would grow as she continued to sing until it was a decent sized plant between them. Two circular shapes took and grew until they were a sufficient size. The melons having formed, their appearance rathe tame in color but the smell of them already permeating the air. Stopping her eyes opened, a faint green glow to them still remained as she dug her hand from the soil, wiping it off she picked up one of the melons with both of her hands, it's veiny looking surface both green and tan as she offered it to Randu. It seemed only right to offer one to him, he had after all, shared his food with her. "Eat." She stated simply as she waited for him to take it.

He leaned back again, her eyes bright like the fire looking at hers with the sky fully dark now. His lips moved softly, yet no words were spoken, thoughts still in conflict when talking with her. He could feel a chuckle coming up his throat as she seems excited with the name of the food she was consuming, but he managed to hide it like some snickering, covering it up with his paw rubbing rubbing between his chin and lower lip. His head turned away for a moment, glancing at the fire upon her initial response. "No... That's not what I me- ah-?" He looked at her from the corner of his eyes, his heart bouncing when he saw noticed she had leaned so close and how her eyes were nailed into his. He leaned away in instinct, rising an arm as if protecting himself with his elbow as he listened to the final answer she was about to give him. Words were spoken, one of his ears twitching to them before he is able to process it, and relax once more when she backed off. "A nymph... Sorry but, I never heard what that is... I honestly thought you were a human when I saw you." He chuckled nervously. He then tilted his head to what she was doing, having no idea what to expect from such an unusual individual he had met today. He planted his hands to the sides of his legs as he also felt some of the vibrations coming from under her, eyes opening slightly more as he looked down at her hand and noticed the sprout growing fastly, way faster than any plant he had seen ever before now even more clearly than when she did it with the muss on the tree.

He gasped, babbling something looking at the melons and getting even more surprised when he looked back at her eyes noticing the inner glow they had. He took the melon carefully, placing it on his lap. He needed a few moments to dare to rotate it up and around to inspect it. It was really a melon, just like that, she grew it instantly there for him. He blinked a few times as his head lowered, and then his eyes flickered between looking at her and the gift she gave him. He then pampered the soil as to feel if there was something odd with it, a bit funny from how confused he looked in that moment. Not finding anything odd about it, he was just glad it seemed whatever magic she had didn't look violent at all. "H-How do you.... do those things?" He muttered, picking the kinfe he used to cut the meat earlier and stabbing it into the melon to get it open, the juicy content already dripping from the wound he wave it, which he then picked up sweeping his finger over the surface and then into his mouth to taste it's sweetness. @EnchantedNymph

Her head cocked to the side when he'd mentioned he didn't understand what she was. It made sense after all, he was from a different place. She might know what he himself was but she could smell the differentness on him, like a metallic aftertaste much like the strange object she had taken from him before. There was nothing like that here, or there never had been until this very moment that he had come. An underlying important feeling nagged at her mind any time she interacted with him and it felt as if it was Gaia herself trying to communicate. It was impossible, even improbable that that was the case, her creator, her mother...had been dormant for a very long time. Randu gasped and Echellia smiled brightly as she watched him take the melon from her hands, her head tilted and her eyes sparkled as she waited for him to taste it. He seemed weary of it, she was confused as to why. He had seen it grow right before him and it was a gift for the one he had given her, an exchange. More words bubbled into her mind as he asked how she did it. Her shoulder lifted and fell as she took her own melon and hit it on a small rock near where she crouched. The juicy melon cracking just enough so that she could rip it into two halves. Echellia scooped out the seeds with her fingers, tossing them aside in a little pile before she began to dig in. The sweetness of it spreading over her tongue and offered to cleanse her palate after having the greasy meat that had been on the sandwich. After swallowing her first bite she looked back up at him, her bright green eyes reflecting the glowing embers of the fire nearby. "A gift from mother" She shook her head, that wasn't quite right. "I am earth, and the earth is me. I give it life, and it returns to me in kind." It was the closest thing her mind could do to explain, she wasn't aware of the gift she had been given being considered magic. In her world it just was, there was nothing odd or significant about it.

blankspace She watched him scoop some of the melon's meat into his mouth, her entire being leaned forward in the hopes that he enjoyed it. Her own melon once again pressed against her mouth as she took another bite before letting it rest in her lap. The juices of the fruit dripping from the corners of her mouth as she chewed happily. A soft hum left her throat as she looked at him inquisitively. Perhaps she was awaiting praise, or something else entirely. Echellia herself not quite knowing exactly what it was. (edited)

Randu licked his finger, his tongue being truthful to the one of a normal cat shapes like a spoon to pick the drops up tasting them up. He smiled, and then cut a smaller piece he could eat completely in just one bite, his mouth opening and showing his fangs before it closes and his mouth is filled with the fresh watery substance of the melon. His tail began tapping eagerly on his lap and his eyes closed to focus more on the flavor of this gift which he is sure to enjoy to the very last sense of himself. He cut himself some more pieces, and continued eating them glancing at Echellia. He continued using his tool to eat in the most modest way possible, being a bit surprised by her manners but not really caring enough to complain or say something to her. Though it does add to his mental notes that she didn't seem to know little she seemed to actually know about being part of a society. He started to believe she might actually just live alone in the forest, which would explain this as well as her struggles too talk with him. However, at the same time, he was very surprised with the phrases she was able to form like this last one sounding almost philosophical to him. "Mother... Nature?" He muttered in response, being that the first thing to come to mind after hearing what she said. He could feel himself a bit calmer, part of his mind thinking she couldn't be bad or evil when her magic seemed to just be able to grow plants, if anything it sounded good as it meant they could eat all what they wanted. He smirked, and then chuckled silly finding it funny how worried he had gotten before thinking she was a witch or someone trying to hurt him. He continued nomming the lasts bits of his melon, when a question rose in his mind making him lift his glance once more. "Are there more like you?. His question came out of his lips softly, like a whisper as if he thought someone else could heard them, and hopping that wasn't the case. @EnchantedNymph

She gave a simple nod of her head, Gaia was indeed the mother of nature itself, though Echellia was not aware that she had been buried in the history of the world where Randu had come from. Nor was she aware of the fact the he was from some other dimension entirely, though if one had told her such she would not have comprehended exactly what that had meant. She had slowed down on enjoying the melon, now almost halfway done with it she let it sit in her lap. Her hand moved to wipe her cheeks, removing the last few bits of juice that had remained as she stared at her current meal companion. Companion, such an odd concept, the word swirling around in her mind. Echellia had always been alone but very aware that her sisters were out there beyond her territory though never having interacted with them. She could feel them just like she could feel the thrum of energy in the soil beneath them, swirling in the air around them and in each and every plant that she had helped nurture. Echellia watched him enjoy the melon, a sense of contentment warming her to the core until his eyes rose to meet her own. Her head tilted as he asked about the possibility of more like her. It was quiet but the wind carried it to her just fine and her head nodded once though her lips were in a frown. Was there any intention behind the question? Should she have answered, and if he wanted to find them would that put them in danger? The first time in her life she had regretted doing something. A strange emotion that she had never experienced in her life.

blankspace Done with her melon she tossed the empty husks away, it would make for great fertilizer and she'd let nature take it's course instead of using her magic. Frowning still she rose, her sticky fingers loose at her side as she rose from the place she had been crouching. She eyed Randu for a moment before she turned and started to walk away. He had shared his food and she had returned the gesture, the uncomfortable feeling still inside of her as she paused beside one of the bigger trees and turned to glance back at him before disappearing for the night. Randu didn't really think she was going to nod, being visibly concerned about her agreeing that nature itself was her mother. He never heard of any goddess for it, though was familiar with the concept of considering nature the mother of all, the stories of the goddess being long lost in the pass of time in his dimension to the point it was practically completely forgotten. He continued eating, slower than her still having a few pieces left. Seeing her nod again, and then tossing the husk he replied "hm... it's late, you may want to..." he managed to say, when she got up and walked away disappearing in the thin darkness just a few meters away from the bonfire. The last glance kept him quiet for some time, feeling his heart pounding harder, not sure if out of fear he said something that made her walk away so suddenly or from how exciting their encounter had been. His head was filling with questions, pushing out the last part of his phrase he didn't get to finish when she left. "... go before they miss you?". It was funny, because he was already feeling like he missed her, the warm her eyes gave his soul when looking into them was very charming, never having found a connection like that with anyone else before. He looked down, and finished eating the melon as he continued thinking of her. His cheeks blushed remembering her smiles and giggles earlier and feeling the cold wind rubbing them he tossed the empty shell away as well.

He sighed, and fed more the fire to make it last during the night before getting up and looking around the area, exploring the tree where she disappeared and then noticing a nice patch of grass close to it. He kneeled down, and massed it softly to make a comfortable space for him to lay on. He wondered if he would see her again next day, looking up at the branches roofing him he lied down and rested his hands over his belly. The sleepiness didn't take long to tower over him, making his eyelids heavy and body loose, calming his mind to the point of shutting his eyes. He fell asleep by the big tree, his breathing slowing down and beginning to whimper softly just like the rest of the animals in the forest. His fur and the fire kept him safe from the cold of the night, with time he moved turning on his side and curling into a ball being more protected and sleeping peacefully the whole night, his body awaiting the warm of tomorrow's sunrise to wake up to a complete new day.
