Adam Sterling sat at the front desk of GameStop, reading the back cover of a recently returned Resident Evil 7. He had not given the person much for the game, but eh, it was still worth something. It had been a very long day in the world of GameStop, PS5 and Pokemon card restock on the same day had left him very tired of dealing with people. As he looked at the clock 3:45pm, he thought to himself, only 2 hours till I can lock up and go home. But, what would he do once he gets home, go into another mindless void, unfortunately. Life wasn't the greatest for Adam right now, but he was making it through it the best way he could. As he stared at the clock, the door chime went off, alerting to a new arriving customer, "How's it goin'? Just to let you know, we are out of PS5s and Pokemon cards for the week, truck runs next week." (edited)

The woman who steps in is graceful, just like a goddess. She had king curly brown hair, with sea green eyes. Her skin was perfect and gently flushed at the cheeks. She walked with confidence, like she was the queen of the world or didn’t care who was. She walked up to the front desk, and looked Adam in the face. Her eyes scanned his face gently, looking hun up and down. “I’m actually here to return a game I bought, I don’t really need it anymore.” she put a Nier:automaton copy down on his desk, looking at him still. Her fingernails were painted in a lovely pinkish red colour, glistening in the lights of the room. Her clothing was rather simple, a white dress and a blue small overcoat on, but the white dress was covered in gentle bits of colour and paint, as if she’d been painting a rainbow room. Ciara took in the features of the GameStop employee, and she had to admit she liked what she saw in him. He was bored for sure, but he was definitely handsome. She leaned gently on the counter, trying to seem as appealing and attractive as possible. She flashed him a confident and positive smile, like a beam of light it cut through his boredom

Adam moved his long brown hair out of his eyes, looking up from the game. As he went to speak, he got lost in her eyes momentarily. Tongue tied, "Oh, hi..." he managed to stammer out, "Just the return?" His hand fumbled with the game slightly, maybe due to nervousness or just being tired, he grew increasingly nervous. His blue eyes looked over the copy, still wrapped in plastic, it was a fine copy to be returned. He tried to make small talk while admiring her cute smile. "Not a fan of it?"

“Eh I liked the art style. But when I took a look online at the story, it didn’t really appeal to me. I just wanted to copy some of the art but again, it seemed like a bad story.” She said gently, brushing a strand of her hair behind her ear. She cutely had little splashed of paint in her face too. She then stopped leaning against the desk. She took a quick look at his tag, reading his name with a smile. “So Adam. You look pretty bored, would you like to go do something after this shift?@ she asked gnetly

Adam was taken aback for a second... No woman in his life had ever been so straight forward with him like this. He enjoyed it very much. As he ran the return transaction through the system, he smiled at her. "Sure, I have nothing to do, but, uh, maybe I should know your name before you offer to take me out?" Continuing to smile a huge Cheshire cat grin as he opened the register to return her money to her. He took notice of the paint on her cheek and thought hard about wiping it off, but instead, he waited for her response.

“Ciara. Ciara chase.” She said to the man, watching him fumble with the returns. Her beauty was like that of an eleven queen, two strands of her hair tied back into her hair like a circlet. She traced her fingernails gently across the table top, waiting his response to see if he would come with her

"Well, Ciara," he said as he handed the money for the return, "I close up at 6pm, but I would be more than glad to hang out with you." He smiled at her with a white, toothy grin. This was definitely a turn of events for today.

She smiled back, leaning over again. “Well then I’ll see you then adam.” She said, taking the money and gently brushing her fingers against his, walking out of the shop with a cheeky grin, determined to wait until then. But right now she needed to get ready for their night out

Adam smiled as he watched her almost skip out the door. He was definitely not use to being the one who was initiated with, but he really liked it. It made him feel very special. But, that also made the clock go so much slower today. As he sat and watched the clock tick away until 6pm, the day and customers coming in were slow for the rest of the day. Once the clock hit 5:45pm, he began his closing process and started counting money. Looking around the store, he made sure that no one else was home. He went to the back for just a moment and found his bag, spraying a spritz of cologne that he had in his backpack on before Ciara came back. He wanted to impress.

She was already outside, waving to him on the inside. She was wearing a very nice over jacket made of blue denim, wearing a faded blue denim trousers, and a white T-shirt. Her face was now clean, showing off some impressive freckles across her nose and cheeks. She had gently flushed cheeks and sea green eyes, a very kind and welcoming face. She had a backpack on, and was rocking back and forth on the balls of her feet
