Layla Ambrilly BOT 16-Apr-23 02:06 PM
They say those with the most monstrous forms could have the biggest hearts, you just have to get to know them. That's what Layla Ambrilly believed; and it was why she found herself deep in the forest in the dead of night, armed with just a lantern, dagger, and a bag of dried meats to sustain herself. Layla had grown up in a relatively small village not far from the forest, and every single evening her mother would tell her stories about "The Forest Beast", a monster that had been created as a legend to frighten children, or at least that's what she had been raised to believe; however, when she was a child, she found a dusty old book that contained journals from people who had spoken about a 'beast' in the woods... and Layla found herself drawn to this creature. Layla was raised by a blacksmith, a portly dwarf named Trumbleton, who had adopted Layla from an orphanage in the city. She had been raised lovingly, but she always had trouble making friends with the local kids because she was a human and they were hearty dwarves. So, she almost... resonated with this monster. So now, at age twenty two, she decided to go 'find' this beast. If it even existed... Layla climbed through the brush, a lantern in her left hand, and a dagger at her hip, her back of dried meats attached at her hip as well. She looked around curiously, her eyes scanning the woods for this monster...

Jun Lee (Monster) BOT 20-Apr-23 12:20 AM
Jun Lee had once been a beautiful, loving and loveable human, he was adored by any and all, his heart of gold appreciated by everyone. He loved his life, and he sure adored his family. Everything was going swell, until one day.. He woke up by screams from his lover at the time, and a stab to his rib. What the hell happened? He panicked and fled from the woman, though as soon as he tried to run he fell, as if his legs didn’t have as much strength as before. As he reached his hands down to catch himself... Well, he noticed he had small black hands with white fingertips. And attached to them and his arms... Were feathers.. He panicked more, running to the mirror and gasping as he saw himself. A she was about to be stabbed again, he jumped out the window, flying away the best he could as to not frighten his once lover any more. A couple of years had passed by now. He’d become a legend. But not the kind of legend people adore you for, but more like the kind of legend where people are terrified. Of course, no one had seen such a creature in eons, even Jun himself didn’t know what he was, or what had happened to him. A curse? The blood of a different creature finally awaking inside him? He didn’t know. All he knew was that he needed to remain as far away from the village as possible, in order to survive. He’d built himself a cozy little cottage over the years, and he hunted boars and some rabbits in order to sustain himself. He hated this. Having to hurt the wild life. But he also needed to survive. Today he was on the hunt once more, jumping from tree to tree since the trees covered the nightsky. Suddenly, he jumped too far, and fell. A loud thud and the sounds of branches cracking and bushes moving resonating through the woods

Layla jumped as she heard a loud crash from not too far away. She stood perfectly still, waiting to hear if anymore crashing came, but nothing did. She didn't hear anything, so she headed to the direction of the sound. As she walked through the bushes, she pushed some branches back, and Layla's eyes landed on a large mass of feathers and something moving. She gasped, her eyes widening and her hand flying to her lips. This thing was clearly injured! Cautiously, she stepped forward, putting the lantern out so she could see. The orange light illuminated the beast. "U-Uhm, h-hello? A-Are...Are you okay?" She asked. Did this thing even speak english? What if it didn't? "I-I'm not here to hurt you! I'm here to help, okay?" @mrintellectual

Jun Lee groaned in pain. Shit. He’d fallen on top of his wing. It hurt like absolute hell. He raised his head when he heard someone, realising it was a human indeed. He quickly stood to try and run away, but the sudden movement sent even more pain throughout his body from his wing. He let out a pained, but restrained sound, grumbling a bit as his left hand hidden behind his wing holding his broken right wing He slowly managed to stand up, his now eight feet tall body looming over the woman’s. He looked down at her, stepping back to show he wasn’t going to hurt her. “Leave. Why are you here? Dangerous.“ he spoke in multiple sentences, taking shallow breaths between each sentence so he could handle the pain (edited)

Layla gasped as the thing suddenly tried to stand but fell, and then once again it stood. It was easily eight feet tall and it's massive black form seemed to envelope the area around her. However, he stepped back from her, telling her to leave. She could hear the pain in his voice and she hesitantly stepped closer to him. "I'm...I'm not leaving until I can help you. You're hurt. Your whole body is hurt." She said, looking him over. His wing seemed to be broken too. "What happened? Did you fall? That wing looks painful." She reached for his wing. @mrintellectual
