Neil listened to the woman in front of him giving a small nod, he couldn't believe it was actually Zoe. He hasn't seen her in years, he had been thinking about her alot more lately, wondering if she was okay, and how she was doing. He couldn't help but wonder if this was the universe giving him the chance to know.
"Im glad you are doing great Zoe, I have my good and bads days. But they are getting better thank you?" He replied, giving her a small kind smile.
He continued to run his fingers through his dog's hair as he gave a soft hum, taking in the moment, he studied Zoe. He noticed how much better she looked then what she did in college. More put together, and more like she was giving herself the love she needed, and deserved. Neil was relieved, after their last conversation, he was worried she wouldn't be okay, that she would be crushed and devastated by their breakup, but seeing her there and okay seemed to take a Weight off his shoulders.
His smile widened slightly as he talked about her working as a lawyer. "Well, the way you'd debated and argue when we were in college with the other students I wouldn't of put it past you to be an amazing Lawyer. " He chuckled softly, looking up at Zoe. "I bet you are in high demands huh? I'm glad, you deserve that."

Those were the words he was never sure how to awnser. He wasn't sure if he should give his wife's awnser. That he was fine, and everything was perfect and no one has to worry. Or his awnser. Looking at Zoe, he still have a sense of safety with her, remembering the feel he had in college, whenever he wasn't okay and would go to her, she would always tell him that everything would be okay and he would as well, the safety he longed for ever since they broke up.
