Date: 10th April, 2276 Name: Alice Yeung VII Role: Vault Explorer At the request of the Overseer, I have decided to keep an entry of each day I travel though the surrounding wasteland to whom I greatly express my gratitude for choosing me for such a mission. Based on what he told me, my goal is to see whether it would be possible if a normal vault dweller would be able to survive on their own with whatever they had on them if given no other choice but to leave. With that in mind, I was given three days worth of food, water, ammunition, medicine, and even a 10mm handgun from the armory. With my goal in mind, I ventured out of the vault, being struck by a bright light which I later learned was the sun. Surprisingly enough, the next hour was uneventful. Amidst the radiated dirt and burnt trees, the only living beings I had come across were radroaches and bloat flies, so much for the action. However, things were finally looking up for me when I came across my first settlement...Scrap Town! They were fairly welcoming, allowing me to abide with them for a while. Hoping to trade with them to bring something back to the vault, I decided to ask around and see who would be interested in doing so, with limited success. Eventually, one of them had told me of a man named Rylan who had been with them for a short while, albeit a lot longer than I had. After getting a description of his appearance, I began looking for him and started asking around where he was at. ((@Cecowl Hoovey

Leaning against one of the walls near the center of town, a large bag in front of him and an even larger shield (mostly made of scrap metal on a door that he had torn off of a building) beside him, Rylan stood with his arms crossed. The man was large and bulky, 6 feet tall at the minimum, with a strong frame and obvious strength. Seeing as he carried a large bag of junk and gear at all times, as well as his shield, that was no surprise. He didn't look friendly in the slightest, but he had a reputation for being crazy enough to venture into places others wouldn't and bring back all kinds of junk to sell. Seeing someone approach, one of them Vault Dwellers, Rylan raised a brow. "What's a Dweller doing out here? The cushy life finally too boring and you came to join the rest of us out here?" There was an obvious dislike of Vault Dwellers in his eyes, and that sneer certainly furthered that point. They were weak in his mind- Hiding behind those massive steel doors from everything. @phoenix_nebula1998

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump ...The Overseer's assumption regarding how outsiders felt about us were certainly confirmed when I found him. Nevertheless, I decided to play dumb and said, "Well, no...I was sent out here by free will to see how long I could survive out here. Anyways, I was told you were looking for someone to trade with. I'm in need of supplies and weaponry, are you willing to do so?" Looking back, I don't think he took me all that seriously, especially since I'm 5'4" and my skin was pretty smooth. Still, I decided to stand my ground and act seriously as I crossed my arms, waiting for his response.

"Depends on what you've got to trade. We all trade in caps out here, so unless you've got some, i've got nothing for you." His arms remained crossed as he looked down at her. He didn't expect her to have any. What dweller actually would? And if she was fresh outta a vault, she had absolutely no idea what was out here. Who knows, though? The wasteland was unpredictable. Maybe she had found some, or sold some vault stuff. @phoenix_nebula1998

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump It was apparent to me that the trader had little faith in me actually having something to trade with. Unfortunately, he was right. I only had enough caps to buy a rifle that was held together with duct tape and wire. In an attempt to get some food from him, I offered him some chems given I had taken from the confiscation room back in the vault. and said, "Listen, I could use some food, how's about some med-x and and psycho, eh? Surely there's a druggie you can sell it to so I can get some food."
Avatar
The trader crouched down and dug through his bag. "For some med-x, I can offer a couple boxes of mac and cheese. For the psycho, i've got some cooked radroach." It wasn't a lot of food, but it was certainly something, at least. She wouldn't know how much these things were worth, anyhow. He could get a good profit off of these chems to keep himself supplied. He pulled out the boxes and the radroaches, the latter of which was wrapped in cloth rags. @phoenix_nebula1998

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump I'll be honest here; I by no means would've traded the chems for literal rad roach meat, meat that I could've gotten from the vault at any time. Still though, I had to do it to see what it tasted like in the event we ran out of rations. So, with much reluctant, I handed him the med-x and took the rad roach meat from his hand. That scratched off my first objective, now onto the second one. Now having my attention on Rylan, I decided to ask him for any interesting locations I could search for items of value, "Deeply appreciate the weapon and food. Now, I wanted to also ask if you know where I could...err, scavenge? I was hoping to at least find a couple of bullets, if not some scrap metal at the very least."
Avatar
"You want to become a scavver?" That made him laugh. How was a tiny woman like her going to be able to take anything from ruins? "Tell me, Dweller, why should I tell you anywhere to pick around? What good does it do me to have you running around and looting places when I could do it and you pay me for shit instead?" @phoenix_nebula1998

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump At this point, I was fed up with this outsider. Not only was he rude, but it was pretty obvious he was judging me by how I looked...just like in high school. Before I was about to lose my temper and sock him in the mouth, an idea came to mind. Clearing my throat, I said, "Becauuuuuse, I can give a portion of what I find, that being high quality items, and give it to you, how's about it?" I said with a wink...thank God my intelligence level was a 9.

He raised an eyebrow at her. What, she was going to give him all the rarer items while keeping the other shit to herself? "Anything I find, I keep. Stuff you find, you keep. If it's rare, it goes to me since you're just trying to 'learn about the wasteland' or whatever you said." He could get behind this arrangement. More caps for him for less work overall. @Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump Unsurprisingly, my charm worked. Ryland agreed to take me under his wing on the condition that he was given whatever items I found that were of high value. I knew that I could just pocket some of it for myself in the hopes that he didn't see me doing so. Nodding my head, I also agreed, saying, "Sure, sounds good! Just lead the way and I'll help find anything of value!" Seeing that he wasn't taking me seriously, I decided to just play along as the innocent Vault Dweller who just turned nineteen...even though I was in my mid twenties. I don't know what my grandparents did to make me come out this way, but I look a lot younger than I did. Hopefully I could use this to my advantage and just fool him until I got what I needed.

"You've got some shit left, go sell it at one of the general stores and get some caps. Rent a room for the night." He had a place in town that he had bought a while ago, but it only had one bed and as much as he was sure that a lady like her would love to share a bed with him, he could tell that there was a fire behind her eyes, and the suggestion would end badly. So, he wouldn't mention it. Not right now, any way. He cracked his neck before taking his attention away from her, scanning the market for anyone who looked like they could use any of the scrap he found. @phoenix_nebula1998

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump Deciding it was best to go along with his counsel, I chose to go around traded the valuables I had for caps. Any chems, cigarettes, and sentimental items were soon traded for wealth. By the end of it, I had at least 300 caps, more than enough to rent a room for the night. So here I am, typing this entry log out in a crummy room that smells like sulfur...At least the bed is clean and cozy. I'll try and keep an entry as to what happens next tomorrow. End of log.

After spending the rest of the day selling the random junk he found, Rylan marched up to his home and set aside his bag and shield for the night, hanging his machete up on the wall with a dissatisfied sigh. Being in town was always so boooorrrrriiiiingggg. There wasn't anything fun to do, like kicking some raiders' asses or fighting off a swarm of feral ghouls with nothing but his shield and machete. The most interesting fights were always with supermutants- At least the ones that didn't carry the bombs in their arms. Taking one of those one-on-one is always fun. But, he'd be headed back out tomorrow, with a naive little vault dweller in tow. Maybe she could shoot the suiciders before they got too close, and he'd have a mini nuke to sell the next time they got into town. That would certainly go for much, much more than all the other junk he collected, especially if he sold it to the weapons dude in town. Flopping onto his bed, Rylan shut his eyes to sleep. Then, the next morning, he grabbed his things and marched to the gate, leaning against it as he waited for that woman to appear. @phoenix_nebula1998

Date: 11th April, 2276 Name: Alice Yeung VII Role: Vault Explorer Today was off to a great start. Surprisingly enough, I slept fairly well in the crummy conditions of the room I was in. That's when I remembered the deal I had with the trader I met from yesterday. With that in mind, I grabbed my gear and the rifle I left leaning next to the bed before heading out. The place I was renting out didn't have any food for sale so I ate the canned food I brought from the vault...not that I'm complaining as the sanitary conditions were non existant. With all that being dealt with, I soon head out early in the morning and met Rylan at the entrance of the town. The moment he saw me, I put up the same "naïve teenage girl impression" from yesterday to keep his guard down as I said cheerfully, "Good morning sir! Ready to go on an adventure and find some neat stuff?"

He was leaning against the wall, near the gate to the town, shield leaning against him and his hand running along the blade of his machete. It was getting a bit rusty.. He'd have to tend to that as soon as possible. That, along with his shield, were his pride and joy, the only things he could truly count on in life. While people betray and trick and steal and cheat, a blade in your hand can't do any of that. When Alice walked up to him, he raised a brow. Ugh, this upbeat attitude was going to get annoying, fast. But he'd be getting some decent caps outta her, so he'd just have to deal. With a nod, he put away his machete before hefting his shield and walking to the gate. "Keep up." @phoenix_nebula1998

Alright, it was at this point I myself was getting pretty tired of doing the “cutesy” voice. It was straining on my throat and even the guy I was gonna scavenge with was getting annoyed. Still, I chose to keep up the facade until a more convenient time. Anyways, I ended up following the guy out of the settlement and into the wasteland. I will admit, I was somewhat frightened, seeing all the prewar buildings…especially the radscorpians, those things gave me the creeps. Aside from that, I didn’t exactly know where we were heading and what laid ahead so I held my rifle close, waiting to see who would be out there to ambush us!

Moving through the wasteland, Rylan was constantly looking around the area. There was no way to know what out there, so it was safer for him to be vigilant. During their walk through the wasteland, they didn't encounter anything all that dangerous, miraculously enough. In fact, there were signs of conflict between raiders and Super Mutants, with several pieces of gear and weapons within sight. "Well will you look at that." He crossed his arms. @Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump While I was checking to see if it were a trap, Rylan pointed out several corpses from what looked like a gunfight. He was right in his notion that we were lucky, we had only been gone for about two hours so to come across the supplies we did was an answered prayer. Checking out the bodies, I noticed that alongside the dirtied humans, there were these big green hulking monsters. I mean, sure, they did look human, but they resembled the ogres from some kind of fairy tale. Still, I decided to shake it off for now as I began scavenging their bodies. Rylan let me keep some food, water, and even ammo for my weapons, but kept everything to himself...selfish bastard. In spite of this, I tried looking for something to keep from him, that's when I saw one of the raiders with a holotape. He probably didn't take it since it was no use to him without a pip-boy. Inserting it into mine, I played it and called Rylan over to hear what it had to say, hopefully it would have some important information we could use, either for supplies or knowledge for the vault.

He had just finished looting the last of the raider bodies, stowing away a handful of caps and any useful junk or weapons worth a damn when the woman called him over. "Whaddya got there?" He asked, walking over with his bag freshly filled and his shield hanging from his arm. It seemed like she had found something on one of the bodies that he either missed or didn't care about. If it was the former, then he'd just get it from her. If it was the latter, he didn't give a shit. @phoenix_nebula1998

Whether he cared or not, I wasn't letting him get his dirty hands on this piece of holotape, not like he had a pip boy anyways. Pressing a button on my device, the disk compartment opened wide quickly consumed the piece of media and began playing what was inside the tape. [THE FOLLOWING IS THE TRANSCRIPT OF THE HOLOTAPE THAT HAD BEEN FOUND. DUE TO IT BEING DAMAGED, CERTAIN AUDIO COULD NOT PROPERLY HEARD] "Shit! Shit! SHIT! Doc, I hope you get this cause, right now, I'm runnin' for dear life!" panting "Listen, I found it, ACTUALLY found it! That pre war tech stuff includin' that power armor? It ain't bullshit! I'd grab it myself, but the whole place is crawlin' with super mutants and raiders tryin' to fuckin' kill each other! It's in -static noises- somewhere around Woodburrow Estates bellow an abandoned mechanic shop. Now I-I'm gonna try and get outta here before- OH GOD! NO! FU-" screaming followed by the sounds of bones breaking and flesh being torn. [END OF TRANSCRIPT] I'll be honest with you, I legitimately felt like crying and throwing up, both at the same time. Is this what the world has come to? If so, then maybe it's best we stay in the vault. Moreover, what the hell was a super mutant? Was it those monsters that were laying dead on the ground as flies began to feast on their rotting corpses? Nevertheless, I had to shake my head and cleared my throat before turning to Rylan and saying, "Huh, that guy did mention something about some rare old technology, maybe we should head over to that place and go check it out?"

He listened to the tape with a serious expression, although a grin came to him slowly as the voice explained where some pre-war tech- power armor of all things- could be found. His mind was set, right then and there. "Abandoned mechanic's shop near Woodburrow?" Man, this'd be the trip of a lifetime. If he didn't find anyone rich enough to buy the armor off of him, he could always use it for himself.. Though keeping the damn thing powered would be an issue, since cores weren't all that common. "Hope you're ready for a fight, because we're getting that cache of tech." There was a wild twinkle in the man's eye as he spoke, and it was clear that he had set his sights on acquiring it. @phoenix_nebula1998

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump Surprisingly, Rylan kept his cool and I was just...blown away. How could he? He was listening to a guy getting torn alive and screaming and there he was, acting as if he was listening to the news. I don't think I'll understand him, but at least he's a big, tough guy. Anyways, he definitely had his eyes on the treasure, that's when I got an idea. If I could earn his trust and get him to help me find the tech, I'd simply shoot him in the back of the head and take the gear for vault. Surely the overseer would be approve!...though I do admit, I might've given it away somewhat when I chuckled to myself. With his ambition and my cunning, I knew for a fact that we'd be able to make it through just fine! Nodding my head, I agreed, saying, "You betcha!" And with that, we were off.

He closed his eyes for a few moments, running through his mental map of the area. Woodburrow would be.. probably an hour or two southwest from here. Past there would be the mechanic's shop, he was certain of that. Hell, it was possible that he'd poked around there and just didn't find anything all that outta the ordinary back in his early days as a scavenger. When he opened his eyes, he heard the woman chuckle, and when she looked at him, he could see a look in her eyes.. Bitch thinks she could play me for a fool.. I've seen that look in people's eyes all the time. That's the look of someone who plans to kill you. He'd play along for now, but he'd have to get rid of her at some point if he wanted to keep his head, solely based on the look in her eye. "This way." He turned and started walking, weaving through the alleyways. @phoenix_nebula1998

For the next hour or so, we traversed from the abandoned city to Woodburrow. Aside from a couple of ghouls and the occasional rad-scorpion, the journey was relatively safe. Anyways, the location seemed to have once been a suburban neighborhood for the more fortunate citizens before the war. In a sort of way, it was somewhat saddening and even reminded me of father's favorite passage from the Bible about injustice. Still, I had to keep my mind focused on the mission at hand, the longer we pissed around, the more of a chance that pre war tech was decaying. Rylan was able to find that mechanic's shop the man on the holotape mentioned and kicked the door down. Entering inside, there was not much to note, unless scrap metal and batteries were of interest...which it was. However, I noticed a terminal on top of a desk in the center of the room. Unfortunately, I didn't pay too much attention when it came to computer science so I turned to him and let him do the work, saying, "Check if that terminal can do anything. Maybe it might have something of importance?"

There wasn't anything all that interesting, nothing but scrap and useless batteries.. But there was a terminal. Not that he was the hacker.. Oh well. He'd hit buttons and see what happens. Taking a seat at the terminal, he got to work, typing away. Within a minute, somehow he had managed to get through it. Clicking away, he opened a couple of documents and read silently. After a few minutes, he stood up and walked over to a metal cabinet and pushed it. It seems like it was on rails, so it was much easier to move. "There we go." @phoenix_nebula1998

...Well, that was easy. As the metal cabinet slide out of the way and revealed the secret entrance, a book fell up which spiked my curiosity. Walking up to it, I picked it up and soon learned that it was a "Big Book of Science"; heh, guess it was time to do some catching up. Anyways, without much thinking on my part, I ventured inside with my hunting rifle in hand. It was at that point that we soon realized this wasn't some underground basement...but a vault. The further we went inside, it was apparent that had long been abandoned. While roaming the halls we were greeted with rusted walls that were accompanied by a foul odor of copper or something like that. What really crept me out was this...one thing I can't get out of my head and that was the experiment rooms. Yes, you heard me, the place was doing twisted experiments. After lock picking one of the doors in hopes of finding some valuables, I was met with a stronger odor...that being a dead body. It looked...horrible, the corpse's muscles were all expanded and, well, "its" face had an exposed skull while its eyes were essentially bulging out of the sockets. After shaking my self out of it, I went and grabbed the available stimpaks and blood bags while still continuing to stare. I also noticed that the room was filled with radiation as it caused the pip boy on my wrist to go off; I would've left sooner, but I just felt warm...and fuzzy. (( @Cecowl Hoovey

Well this was interesting.. The man thought to himself as he walked through the vault, keeping a sharp eye on Alice as they explored the abandoned structure. If this place was abandoned, imagine all the hidden pre-war shit they had down here.. With that thought, Rylan started walking further in much quicker. There was power armor, and a bunch of pre-war tech hidden down here somewhere, and he'd be the one to find it. There was so much money to be made if he could just find it. All that money would let him stock up on so many different weapons and improvements to his existing gear.. There was so much he could do with it, that woman be damned if she tried to stop him. Glancing back, he noticed that she had disappeared. Good, less for him to worry about. With that, he moved deeper into the vault, peeking into rooms every now and then to try and find anything valuable, machete held at the ready on the off chance that something jumped out and attacked him. @phoenix_nebula1998

The more the warmth ran through my body, the harder it felt for me to move. I can't even remember how long I was there, probably a minute or two before I finally shook myself out of it. Checking my pipboy, I saw that my radiation levels sat at a concerning 200. Just as I took some rad-a-way (and rad-x for good measure), I soon heard foot steps heading towards my direction. Thinking it was Ryland, I peaked my head out and called out to him...which turned out to be a big mistake on my part. Looking me dead in the eye was the same ogre like creatures (which I learned later on were called super mutants) from before, only this time, they weren't six feet under. "YOU'RE DEAD, HUMAN!" Is all I heard before the thing started firing at me. I pretty much pissed myself at that point, throwing myself behind a steel table, firing back at the creature with my bolt action rifle. It did absolutely nothing, aside form angering them. The severity of the situation soon crept into my head, this thing was gonna do what they did to the man in the recording. Just when I thought all hope was lost, I remembered that I had snatched some grenades from the vault armory when no one was looking...even though I was only meant to take a 10mm pistol...sorry, overseer. Pulling the pin off the explosive, I tossed it, adding a small insult to add to shrapnel-filled injury, "Eat this!" Ducking for cover, the grenade would go off, sending several pieces of shrapnel bouncing off the walls. Once I stood up, I saw that the super mutant was now dead, missing a couple limbs and without life. The weapon it had was an American Assault Rifle with two spare magazines, which, of course, I took for myself. Afterwards, I called out t o Rylan, saying, "Rylan!? Where on earth are you buddy!?" Rylan let out a grunt as he blocked another few bullets with his shield, unrelentlessly moving forward with his machete in hand. Already having dispatched several of these super mutants, he was ready for more. This was the most fun he had had in several weeks, a wide grin on his face as he ran forward. @Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump Hearing the noises come from the hallway, I soon figured where he was at. Just by following the noises, I rushed down the hallway with my newly acquired assault rifle. Thanks to being pretty...well, short, my gear started to weigh me down which made it harder to run, especially since I had the hunting rifle strapped around my back. Nevertheless, I was able to make it to where he was and...well, let's just say it was a sigh to behold. Rylan, being the wasteland savage that he was, had given in to his nature and was slashing the super mutant to pieces...lesson learned, the wastelanders can be nice, but also extremely savage, proving that vault dwellers are far more superior mentally speaking. At that point, I didn't care too much about the disguise I had put on. I was just in so much shock that I had to break character. As a result, I cleared my throat and said in regular, low feminine tone, "Jesus Christ dude! Don't you think that's a little too fucking excessive!?" (( @Cecowl Hoovey

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump Unsurprisingly, Rylan already knew I was not being genuine with who I was. I was caught in my lie and I had no idea how to respond. He didn't seem angry to me, just really fed up with people stabbing him in the back. That last question though, it really got me. Here I was, someone who had the privilege of growing up inside a vault, being chastised by a brute for my lack of honesty. Usually, I'd just brush it off and move on, but I just couldn't. There was time for feeling guilty however, my mission for the vault was at stake. I knew fighting Rylan head would be fruitless, even with my newly found assault rifle. For now, I had to submit and admit my faults. Shrugging my shoulders, I simply responded with, "Humans will be humans, Rylan. I'm just looking out for myself here...Listen, you got me, alright? I just want ONE thing to take with me back, then you can have everything else, alright?" (( @Cecowl Hoovey

His eyes narrowed at the woman, staring down at her from underneath his hood. "The only thing you're not allowed to take is the power armor, if it's actually down here. That shit's mine, got it?" With a simple jerk of his head, he motioned for her to go first. No way in hell that he'd let her walk behind him with her gun pointed at him. He'd block any attacks she threw at him from the front, and then cave her skull in if she tried anything. If she cooperated though.. Maybe he'd let her live. The man walked behind her, silently watching her every move. @phoenix_nebula1998

The compromise wasn't exactly what I had in mind. Not being able to bring the power armor with me was a big blow, but I just clenched my teeth and nodded, "Fine, you got a deal." before taking the lead. At that time, I just hoped that there'd be something else I could find. Maybe some secret information or technology that would greatly benefit the vault. Moving on, After ten minutes of walking, we had come across a door connected to a terminal. Thankfully, it was unlocked so I was able to open it. Afterwards, we traversed further inside, being met with a melody of electrically whirling and beeping noises as the hallway was covered with computers. That's when we finally came across what we were looking for...the technology. Aside from the body that was ripped in two (probably the guy from the recording), the room was pretty large, filled with all types of pre war tech. There were documents dating back years before the great war, gauss rifles which we thought were extinct, and, most importantly, power armor from the Operation Anchorage era. As tempted as I was to grab it, Rylan was right behind me and would've beat me to a pulp. Stepping aside, I invited him to go grab his prize while I went to take some of the documents for myself. Couldn't leave empty handed and all. Something I noticed were some glass containers with some type of green fluid with the words, "FEV" written on it. Didn't know what it was, but I decided to grab one of them for the time being. (( @Cecowl Hoovey

Quickly he began to inspect the armor, grinning widely. "Ooh, now you're a sight for sore eyes.." Setting down his machete and shield, he quickly climbed into the armor after making sure there was a core in it and stashing any extras in his bag. Retrieving his weapons, he turned back to Alice as she grabbed one of the glass containers that he didn't give a shit about. Carrying glass in the wasteland was a terrible idea, usually. One wrong move, a tumble or a gunfight, would likely lead to a bunch of broken glass in your bag that would be a pain to clean out. It certainly didn't help that these had some kind of chemical in it, and that was even worse to deal with than just broken glass. Instead, he started going around to gather up the weapons and other tech in the room that he could carry- Which, thanks to his new prize, was a lot more than before. This would make him a fortune. At this point, he was focused less on Alice and her damn tricks. There wasn't shit she'd be able to do to him now that he was in this armor. @phoenix_nebula1998

Well, I'm just glad I got SOMETHING at least. With the information that I had of the wasteland, the documents and fev, everything seemed to be going to plan. Just when it felt like nothing could go wrong now, that's when I was quickly proven wrong. The alarms throughout the vault went off out of nowhere, causing me to drop the container out of fear and the contents spilling all over me, literally. An intercom had gone off as well, shouting, "YOU, HUMANS! NOT SUPPOSE TO BE HERE. YOU DIE NOW, GOODBYE!!!" accompanied by the sound of grunting, shouts of rage and the like. Looking towards Rylan, I said, "Welp, here I was thinking it'd be a walk in the park. I know you hate my guts right now, but err...you wanna fight them off with me big guy?" I knew damn well he was gonna want to work together, or at least have some sort of cannon fodder. If we made it out, we'd both have prized possessions to take with us and we'd never have to see each other again...or so I'd hoped. (( @Cecowl Hoovey

His grip tightened on his machete, and he laughed as the voice over the intercom said that they'd die. "Oh, you think you can kill me now that I have this beauty?" @Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump In retrospect, a part of me was thankful that I wasn't the one wearing the power armor. Come to think of it, I don't think it would've fit me at all. Anyways, my wasteland companion got to work on the super mutants, every punch they throw at him simply wounded their green fists against the steel. Just as I was about to run in and help him, I suddenly felt a sharp pain inside my stomach. I didn't know what it was, but in retrospect, it was most likely from the contents of the FEV soaking into my skin. Causing me a great deal of fear, I tried wiping it off as much as possible, attempting to brush off the pain in which I felt. Soon, it stopped...but that's when things just went dark. I couldn't remember anything aside from the sound of white noise, the beating of my heart and, most prevalently, rage. When I finally regained consciousness, I was on top of one those green ogres, senselessly beating them to a pulp with a strange rush of adrenaline, even after it was dead. All I could feel was anger and the desire to kill, it was...scary, especially to me. (( @Cecowl Hoovey

@Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump As he walked away, I simply stared at the corpse and quickly noticed the lead pipe in my hands. It was all bent and splattered with blood and pieces of mutated brain. After what I had done, I should've felt ashamed of myself...but I wasn't; I actually felt...proud, as if this was some sort of great achievement on my part. Even by staring at Rylan, I felt the urge to take him on, knowing all too well I would just be torn in two. It was pointless anyways, the battle was won and all I had to do now I was return to the vault. So, with the documents and vials of FEV, I followed him all the way back to town before parting ways.

It had been a week. With the caps that Rylan made off of the pre-war weapons, he'd been able to get enough fusion cores to keep this power armor running for several weeks straight. In addition, he upgraded his machete and his shield with some new tech, making him overall a much stronger killing machine. He still had enough caps left over for him to live comfortably, so he stopped being so picky on what he grabbed out in the wasteland, mostly going out to find something to kill. That's where he was now, trudging through the wasteland and searching for something to sink his machete into. @phoenix_nebula1998

When I made it back to the vault, I gave them everything I had and told them about the FEV vial and how some of it got onto me. After doing a weeks worth of research, they showed up to my dorm one day and told me I had to leave. I asked them why, but all they said was that I was a danger to the vault, not even explaining how I was. Then, just like that, they threw me out...fucking backstabbers, at least they gave me some supplies so I didn't die the moment I stepped out. It hasn't really helped that my temper has been going through the roof prior to me being banished. Not only that, but I think I've gotten taller...which is strange since I stopped growing once I turned seventeen. Not only that, but both my nails have become sharper and even small patches of "hair" have started sprouting all over my body, causing me to shave almost every day, not like that's a luxury I have anymore. Anyways, as I was traversing through the ruins on the way to scraptown in hopes of finding refuge there, I came across a familiar face. Rylan...that son of a bitch; the anger that I felt from a week ago soon flared up within me for no apparent reason. Still, I tried my best to maintain a calm demeanor as a slowly, yet apparently towered him, finally speaking up. "Rylan." (( @Cecowl Hoovey

"You get sent back out from your cozy little iron tomb? I didn't expect that you'd ever leave again, considering what you saw the last time you were out here." Because of how his face was obscured, it was impossible to tell what he was thinking.. But a part of him was smug, she had come crawling back to him after trying to stab him in the back before. Hah! Pathetic. Those vault dwellers were nothing but a bunch of cowards. "Don't you think you should just turn around and head on home? I don't know what happened to me, I can still type normally on this pip boy but I had a hard time stringing together a coherent sentence. Maybe I was dehydrated or just really disoriented with this pounding headache I had, all I know was that it was hard for me to speak. As much resentment as I felt towards scum like Rylan, especially that little snarky remark he made, I soon realized it was my best bet to ensure my survival for the time being. I just hoped he would show some sense of pity towards me. Clearing my throat, I did my best to try and sound somewhat smart, "I have no more home, need to go to scraptown. I'm lost, please help me." Gosh, I just remembered how itchy my body was. My own jump suit barely even fit and, I hate to admit (even though no one's gonna look at this anyhow), it had started to even tear, the security vest pretty much concealing my chest. I had the urge to scratch, but I tried to resist, waiting for Rylan's response. (( @Cecowl Hoovey

Surprisingly enough, they did allow me to stay in spite of the physical changes that had occurred to my body, probably thinking it was due to radiation or something, I wouldn't really know. If I'm being honest, I didn't even leave the room was renting, I just stayed there and was really hungry, causing me to almost burn through the canned food the overseer had given me, I even ate the roach meat for crying out loud! (It wasn't really all that bad to be fair). Still, this entire day sucked, being kicked out of the vault, dealing with changes to my body and, ugh...Rylan. @Rylan (@Cecowl Hoovey) - jump This was the last entry log that Alice Yeung had made before succumbing to the effects of the Forced Evolutionary Virus. In most cases, it would've turned her into one of the big, green hulking monsters both Rylan and her had faced back in the vault. However, it didn't...it made her something better, or worse depending on the situation. Due to unknown causes, it had turned her into a feline creature, still retaining her humanoid appearance; however, the virus had caused a reduction in higher brain function, meaning she had been reduced to nothing more than a bipedal, feral cat with base instincts. Of course, she still somewhat retained some of her memories, especially the ones with Rylan, and the ability to speak in short deranged sentences filled with blood lust and sexual desires, the latter being aimed towards the wastelander. Of course, such a big feral beast could not be hidden for a long period of time. Soon, word had broken out about how a strange feline creature was in the settlement, causing a bit of an uproar but also murmuring at the same time, not certain as to what they could potentially do.
