It had been about three months since Grey had found himself in this dorm room, buried beneath a giant mountain in the middle of... well, he had no clue. Someone somewhere in the United States government probably did, but they were not letting him know at least. But, for the last three months this had been his home. The first month was the worst, trying to get accommodated to the place, requesting stuff be added or removed to his dorm room, getting it just the way he wanted it. The last two months were much simpler. A schedule, a routine that he would follow every day.
Wake up at 6am, work out with a small group of trainers that focused him on his physical condition. 7am, breakfast which he would devour whatever he wanted. 8am until 5pm, work with the lab technicians and scientists to figure out and enhance his abilities and then discover new ones from time to time. After that, it was up to him what he would be doing. It was not a bad life, but definitely not one he had a choice in. Grey was 'chosen' without much choice by the United States Government to be its first 'superhero,' however, it seems like first mutant test subject would be a better name. However, it was better than his life before so he could not complain.
At 5:05pm, he had just been escorted back to his dorm. He had no more than sat on the couch when he heard an alarm ringing that was familiar. The sound of Lt. Rayne Anderson spoke, her voice as stern as usual, "Grey," she would almost command, "We have a bit of change of plans..."
He was use to this, but she had a distinct change in her voice, "Yes, ma'am," he would ask, "What is the change?"
"You now have a roommate..."
The words he had just heard could not have been right, "A roommate, ma'am?"
"Yes, a roommate... I will brief you about it more in the morning, but she is sound asleep in the B dorm, let her sleep off whatever drug they gave her, but she is gonna want answers when she wakes up, explain to her what you know."
"Okay..."
