Several hours ago, Dani had been reading a book in her bedroom, when all of a sudden, two large men dressed in dark suits knocked on her door and ordered her to follow them. When she refused, she was grabbed and handcuffed, a fabric cloth pressed to her face and she felt foggy. The next thing she knew, she woke up in the back of a van, her hands tied up and she was chained to the back of the van, so it's not like she could escape.
Her thoughts were racing and she had no idea why this was happening. She begged the driver to explain where she was going, and all he said was, "Boss's orders." She knew what that meant... Her father had sold her like fucking cattle. Boss's orders... what a fucking crock of shit. Dani slumped against the van's wall, shaking her head. A single tear rolled down her cheek. She was too angry to cry... but she knew she'd cry later. If she was even alive to cry.
When they arrived at the manor, Dani got out of the van and was presented with a rain jacket. "So that you don't get soaked..." The driver said, his eyes downcast at the ground. He did feel terrible that she was going through this, but he couldn't disobey his boss.
She took the jacket and pulled it on. She was still wet, but the jacket helped lessen it. "Thanks..." With that, she headed towards the manor. It was at the top of a large hill, so she made the trek upwards. Her mind was racing. Where was she? Who owned this manor? Why had she been sold? Was she going to survive? She didn't have her phone so she couldn't call anyone. But then again, who would she even call?
As she got to the porch of the manor, she was soaked. The rain jacket had protected her torso, but her hair was sopping wet. She shivered from the cold and she gasped softly as the door was opened. She carefully stepped inside. The door slammed shut and she winced.
