Gwen was intense, in a sort of way that Hannah was not used to. She was bossy and straight to the point. Even if she would normally appreciate that, it was sort of intimidating this time around. It made her even more nervous then she should be. “I..I’m sorry.” She said as she quickly stepped away, took of her cap and started to try and do a better job on the bun that she had tied earlier. This time she made sure to get all the stray strands and tie really twirl the hair around and securing it with two hair ties. It looked a lot better this time and she put the cap back over it, even covering the bun that she had placed a bit higher this time. She then got new gloves, figuring that she had touched her hair with these and hoped that that would satisfy Gwen.
Nothing much more was said about visiting Gwen’s place. She figured she would bring it up later again and see if Gwen still wanted her as her roommate after this day was over.
The first customer came over not soon after they opened. She did her best to put on a bright smile. “Good morning, see anything you like?” She offered. Even if she was shy, as long as it was a static encounter like this she was generally fine. “Yes, I would like the triple chocolate cookie please.” The woman said at the other side. “Should I pack it up for you or you want to eat it right away?” She asked, remember that Gwen gave her the option. “Packed please.”
The next minute Hannah kind of fumbled between picking it up with her hands or the tongs, opting for the tongs instead. Then placing it in the bag and trying her hardest to not break it. She succeeded. “Uhmm.. do I make a pricetag for it? Or do you?” She then asked, turning to Gwen. The instant she had turned to Gwen she would seem unsure again and her voice sounded much less powerful then when she had talked to the customer.
