It had been several weeks since the merger, Anthony Richardson would find himself in a bit of a middle ground in all of this. Sure he got to keep his fancy office and office building that he had designed by hand, his secretary, but that seemed to be it. The merger between Richardson Inc. and the mega corporation of Walls & Wells has left him in more of a 'figurehead' position with no responsibilities at all. Most people would not see this as a problem, but for someone like Anthony who needed to be in control of everything. But, who would want him to be in control after the mess that he left with Richardson Inc.?
Under his command, there was a money laundering scheme, horrible mismanagement of funds, and even more scandals that surrounded management and the like. It would have been seen as a god send by most for the Walls & Wells corporation to pay half of what they did and even keep him on in a board member position like they were, but here he was. He knew that he had not power and that ate in his very being. He did get the joy of seeing his new secretary every day, one that had listened to him complain about his personal life and his professional life as well.
His personal life was almost as much of a wreck as his professional life. Ever since his very public divorce many years ago, he had been in multiple relationships with gold diggers, women who had very question moral values, and or out right crazy women, in one such case, who wanted nothing more than for him to get her pregnant. All of the cases were discussed with his secretary. He found her easy to talk too, and snappy with a comeback recently, it made him laugh when he needed it sometimes. Today was a day like any other, but by the end of it, things had changed dramatically.
Walking into the office, he would give her a shy look, she was reading her books as per usual, he would give her a raise eyebrow, "Wanna at least act like you are working?"
