It didn’t take Max too long to find the ice rink place, well it did but it didn’t take him as long as it could have. After he got off the bus it should have just been a ten-minute walk from his stop. But of course, it took him longer ten minutes longer. He spent a while wondering aimlessly not sure where to go google maps wasn’t really a proper help luckily after swallowing his pride and asking someone, okay multiple someone's for directions he managed to find his way before he stepped inside.
The first thing that Max felt when he walked into the ice rink was cold, he should have guessed that it would have been cold of course since the rink had ice but it still caught him off guard his hands slipping into his pockets to try and protect them from the cold air. How people skated here in those spandex costumes he wasn’t sure.
He had a backpack on his back, only one of the straps on his shoulder. His trainers were laced up but it was in a weird way they were full of knots and the laces were uneven. Worried that he would come across as rude he slowly pulled his hands from his pockets and walked over to where he could see a woman at the ice rink.
“Hi I’m sorry to bother you.” He called out to her trying his best to speak clearly to not speak too fast. “Are you Emma? I’m Max, Sophies’s friend.” He greeted rubbing the back of his head awkwardly. “Thank you for doing this, I want you to know it means a lot.”
