Eoghan watched the small fort as the ship he was on finished docking. After a long month and a half on the sea he yearned to feel steady ground under his feet once more. Despite this he took his time walking the unloading plank down to the dock not wanting to appear too eager or to accidentally slip and land in the sea, in his plate armor it would be like dragging an anchor out of the water to walk into the land.
As the rest of the passengers separated into a neat row he looked around at the wooden buildings and the tall wooden palisade that surrounded everything not protected by the sea. There had been around three dozen adventures on the ship coming to start a new life in one way or another and he was but another individual in that group. At the end of the dock a short gnome directed people to other people stationed a few meters away.
When he made it to the man he was directed towards an imposing figure. A tall woman who appeared to be 7 feet tall loomed over the other figures. She was as pale as any human he had ever laid eyes on with a braided mohawk the color of flames. She wore simple studded armor but even through it he could tell how much raw muscle she had underneath. By her side a creature the size of a bear sat patiently. It had the body of a wolf but instead of fur bark line skin covered it's body and jutting from the row of sharp fangs tusk like a boars rose. Its eye sockets were empty except for a glowing green orb to match the color of an aura that hung on the beast like a mantle.
Eoghan stopped Infront of the woman and looked up at her, he was 6"2' but even he had to look up to meet her eyes. The woman didn't say anything yet but he assumed she was waiting for the person who would be his new partner. Adjusting his pack it jostled the glaive next to it causing a faint sound of metal hitting metal that was quickly drowned out in the commotion of the busy dock. The armor he had worn for years made him uncomfortably warm in the tropical weather.
