It was actually a pretty peaceful night so far minus that one threat he had to worry about., one person tried to start a fight after he was denied entry because he was wearing trainers but he was quick to back down once he made it clear that he wasn’t intimated. It was normally the case with the loud ones thinking that if they acted tough, they would get what they wanted. It was a warm day too so he didn’t have much to complain about, the sun was already down while his partner kept an eye on the line. It was a system that he found worked well. Of course, there were more than two guards working each night, he wouldn’t allow it any other way, but there was only two people at the door until something happened. Usually, him and a rookie.
It allowed him to keep an eye on everyone that went in, it was much easier to keep someone from entering then getting them out. Especially if a fight broke out. The hot day gave way to a cool night, allowing him to swap out a puffy coat and gloves for a simple jack, of course he still kept the gloves for protection but not from the cold.
He tilted his head as he saw a familiar group of three walking forward. He was pretty certain that one of them was dating the DJ, that what the man said. He seemed nice enough, they didn’t speak a ton but when things got rowdy, they’d all settle down with a drink to decompress. His head tilted as he caught onto the end of the three ladies' conversation his chin raising to be able to greet them, pulling back the velvet line before they could eve speak since he had recognised them. Only picking up on the last bit of their conversation not sure why one of the ladies were so flushed, but he could admit that she did seem pretty.
