Her new client lived downtown, the high rise sparkling in the morning light. She'd been given a keycard to the building and another for the door. He'd stated he'd be out and that he'd pay extra for her to unpack for him if she wanted. He lived on the top floor, the apartment large as a small house. The lights clicked on to show a boxes of furniture and new possessions. Everything looked new and as if he had nothing actually personal. Clothing was delivered soon after she arrived, the delivery boy leaving them rested across the counter just inside the door.

Akira was shocked when she swiped the keycard and pushed open the door to the high ride apartment. It was massive, definitely one of the biggest on her client list and she couldn't help but sigh when she really took it inThis is going to take forever she thought to herself. She remembered that he said he would pay extra if she unpacked for him and given that she had booked the entire day for this she figured she may as well get the extra money. She pulled her hair back into a high ponytail and pushed the sleeves of her black sweater dress up before finding a knife in the bag of supplies she brought with her to every job. She started to open boxes and unpack, putting things together as she went and pushing it to where she thought it looked best in the room. She figured that she could always move it if he didn't approve of where she had put things. It took hours to get everything unpacked before she moved to the bedroom to begin filling the massive closet, admiring certain pieces as she went along. Oh to live the way the other half does she mused making sure everything was in its perfect place. By the time she was finished with that she was desperate for a break and sat down in the kitchen to eat the simple lunch she had packed and finally take a drink, she hadn't realized just how thirsty she was until the water hit her lips. I wonder how much time I have before he gets home She thought as she ate, wanting to have completed the job before he arrived, he was her best paying client and she was going to do everything she could to make sure he stayed that way. @Vox

Kenji's apartment was empty, only his bedroom visibly used. Even that was only messed up blankets and mussed sheets. He had no photos of people close to him. No odd collections. No favored media to collect. The only thing he seemed to keep many of was suits. Hung in plastic sheaths and protected, silk shirts folded onto shelves and fine shoes tucked into cubbies in plastic covers. Based on the size of his clothes, he was huge. Over 6'6" at least. He came home at 6pm, shutting the door behind him and toeing off his shoes. He paused listening for who was in his house. "Cleaner?" He called out to identify, waiting for a response a hand in his pocket. @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

Akira jumped a bit from where she was, tidying up in the master bathroom. "Yes sir it's just me" she washed her hands off and made her way back down the stairs so he could see she wasn't an intruder, surely a man with such fine taste had worries of being robbed, though of what she couldn't be sure with the lack of decor. Maybe there's a safe or something she reasoned with herself. Once she was down on the first floor standing in front of the man that easily towered over her she smoothed over her black sweater dress. "I'm almost finished for the day I apologize for still being here Sir." She hated how small and meager she must have looked, standing at a mear 5'3 he was at least a foot taller than her, maybe even a bit more, and she knew her cheeks were rosy from working, her hair probably at least a bit messier than when she started. @Vox

"No need to apologize thank you for the work. I'd love to set up a weekly schedule if that's an option." He smiled softly, "And what's your price again? I can pay cash or mobile to you." He limped to a seat in his living room sinking into it. "I apologize I'm recovering from surgery still, so I need to sit." He chuckled. He smiled at the look of his place now, "Thank you for unpacking. It very much helps me. And I know there wasn't much to clean but I'll definitely make it worth your work." He smiled again shifting in his seat. He hadn't taken his hand from his trousers pocket, sitting where he could keep her visible. "While I am thinking of it, it's best to lock yourself into the apartment while you are here alone." He noted. @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

"Yes that would be something I could arrange" she smiled sweetly "I usually charge $75 per hour but um I realize I was here for quit a long time today" she was nervous and she couldn't put a finger on exactly why. When she watched him limp over to the living room and explain why she immediately offered more help "could I get you something to eat or drink?" She couldn't help but notice his hand had never left his pocket finding it a bit odd to do in the comfort of your own home. "It was my pleasure, the furniture was relatively easy to assemble. I can also move anything if it's not arranged to your liking" she was unsure of how to respond to his comment about locking the door, this was such a beautiful highrise she couldn't imagine much riffraff getting in so she simply nodded in reply. @Vox

"I'll pay you $300 per session but there is some things you cannot talk about. I am not the safest client. I work odd hours and have friends who stay often, so some risk is always there..." He gestured lightly. Holding up his phone on a common mobile pay app she used, he had her put in her tag. She got the notification she was paid from 'Kenji' for 500 bucks. "Head home. And please lock the door behind you please." He bowed in a goodbye, straightening up and heading back for his room. @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

"Thank you" she said with a small bow of her head as she listened to the things he was saying. What could he possibly mean by that? She couldn't help but wonder. Putting her tag into the app on his phone she finally spoke again "I understand. I never speak of my clients business to others but I'll take special care in remembering" She gathered her things as she watched him get up to limp away "Do I need to be.. careful if someone is staying here while I'm working?" She wasn't sure if it was okay to ask but she didn't feel comfortable leaving without knowing. @Vox

"Ah. No. I'm in more trouble then than you." He chuckled pausing at the door. "Consider it idle paranoia from me..." He reassured. He shut his bedroom door and she heard it click as he locked it. The next time she was there the next week, he was sitting in his front room watching TV, papers across his coffee table. He looked up as she entered smiling, "Good afternoon." He pushed up himself, going to grab a shirt. His back was arched over with scars, large rippling lines that crossed his skin. He tugged on a sweatshirt and went to sit back down. One of his legs was wrapped with Saran wrap, a new tattoo half covered by the film. "I also will pick up supplies if you leave a list of things you need." He stated scrawling with a pen on the paperwork. @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

She nodded at that and took her leave, making sure to lock the door on her way out. When she came back the following week she couldn't help but stare a little when she entered "Good morning sir" she said with a smile even as her eyes raked over every inch of exposed skin, from the scars, to the new tattoo. She forced her eyes away and slid her jacket off to hang up. "I would really appreciate that I'll be sure to leave a list" another soft smile before she grabbed her own supplies and began to clean, deciding to start in the kitchen. He hadn't made much of a mess since the last the last time she had been there, very few dishes, hardly any clutter. She straightened out the bedroom next, putting away laundry that the same young man dropped off once again. I wonder what he does she thought as she hung the plethora of expensive looking suits. @Vox

He'd thrown away a shirt, blood on the collar, as well as multiple tide pens that he'd clearly tried to use to clean it. It wasn't much blood, but enough to catch attention. He seemed to eat mostly fast food and microwave meals based on the packages. She realized very very quickly he wasn't in normal work when someone pounded on his door. He got up jogging, motioning for her to hide. He opened the door tucking behind it, and a man half slumped in.

"Kenji I fucked up." He was holding his arm tight, blood running down his arm.

"No shit dumbass!" He hauled the other in shutting the door and dumping him in the chair, shutting his door.

He noticed her in the kitchen and pointed a small gun, "What the fuck?!"

He pushed his arm up snarling, "Put the fucking gun down Moron, she cleans my fucking house." He took the gun away. Cleaning up his arm, he ripped Akiya's shirt open at the shoulder.

"Oh fuck. I'm sorry. My names Akiya. Swear I'm a kind guy!" He held up his good hand in defense. "Names Akiya." @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

She had noticed the shirt and assumed he must have just cut himself somehow, being somewhat of a klutz herself it wasn't unheard of. She had just come back down to the kitchen to grab herself a glass of water when there was a pounding at the door, by the time her mind registered him telling her to hide there was already a man dripping blood being dragged into the large apartment. She thought maybe she could slip out unnoticed and without causing any trouble before the bleeding man pulled his gun out. Immediately she put her hands up dropping the glass to shatter on the floor, her hands and knees shaking before he put the gun down. "I-I'm sorry" she stuttered out before she bent down to start cleaning up the glass she broke and then toweling up the water. She didn't know what else she could possibly say, her heart was racing and her hands were still shaking. "Sh-should I leave Sir?" @Vox

"It's fine. He's just a fucking idiot. Stay if you want or leave. I'll send your pay over the app and extra to keep your mouth shut." He stated, talking over Akiya's protests at his rough handling. The man looked like he got shot, and it apparently was normal enough that Kenji was unbothered. "If you're staying help me. Towels from the cupboard and water." He said lightly, coarse with his focus. He got the bullet out with a pair of tweezers.

"Be nice to the woman for God sakes." He smacked Kenji who pressed on his arm making him squirm cussing, "Alright alright fuck!"

She froze for a few moments unsure of what she should do but the promise of extra pay was enough to get her ass into gear again. She moved to grab the towels from the cupboard and a glass of water. "I won't say anything to anyone. It's not my business." And it was true, she had nobody that she would tell about it anyway being a person that mostly kept to herself. She set the couple of towels she grabbed down in the small end table next to where the bleeding man was sitting. "Can I do anything else to help?" She asked giving the bleeding man a sympathetic smile as he cursed from the pain. @Vox

"Tell him to stop stabbing me pointlessly?" He chuckled softly and at that, Kenji pulled the stitching hard to tighten it. Akiya lightly hit the arm of his chair swallowing the pain and cleared his throat. "Mmmm.... so. How's working under this asshole?" He gestured to Kenji.

She once again froze for just a moment when Akiya struck up conversation with her, almost as if she wasn't sure she should be speaking to him at all but when the man who hired her didn't say anything to stop him she figured it must be okay to answer. "Something tells me it isn't pointless" she laughed softly having seen enough medical shows to know if he didn't get all the fragments out it could get infected later on. "It's lovely actually, one of my preferred clients" @Vox

"You should pay her more." He gestured and Kenji snorted

"She makes more than you and Danny combined."

"You should pay me more."

"Stop getting shot then." He tossed him gauze cleaning up his hands on the rag and tossing it into the garbage.

"I was in the car I can't help if they shoot through the fuckin windshield!" He protested.

"Duck." He tsked. "Now get out. This furniture is fuckin new, prick." He pinched the bridge of his nose.

Akira couldn't help but snicker a little at their exchange, it was clear this wasn't a first time occurrence from how calm they both seemed. So causal about something that, in her world, was considered so major. "I'll make sure it's all cleaned up" she said gesturing to the furniture. She wasn't positive if any blood got onto it but she certainly didn't want to slack. @Vox

"It's fine. Just get him out of my house and lock up after you. I expect the report by this evening Akiya." He ordered.

"You really need to come out. They're getting spooked."

"They're fine for now. I'll clean up the men after. My back is still fucked." He stated gently. He tugged out his phone making sure she got her pay, 500 bucks again, and gestured for the door. "Go. Get out." @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

She nodded and grabbed her things, leaving the list of cleaning supplies he had requested on the counter before she pulled her jacket on. She waited for the other man to exit before she also took her leave, making sure to lock the door behind her. What a weird night she thought to herself as she made her way to the elevator still walking with Akiya. "I hope your arm heals well" She said politely, hating the awkward silence. @Vox

"I heal fast." He smiled lightly about as uncomfortable. He talked the toe of his Shoe on the floor. "I know this is a bit of a shit time but if you ever want to go get drinks or somethin'" He stepped out the elevator, "hit me up aye?" Another man in the lobby smacked the back of his head. "You don't ask in a fuckin elevator. You ask where a woman has a way to run." He ordered and Akiya rubbed his head. "Oh..." The two of them went outside getting in the car with the passagenger window shot out. @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

"O-oh um thank you I'll keep that in mind" she answered with a blush dusting her cheeks, it wasn't very often she got hit on which honestly was her own fault for never venturing out much. She was just always so tired after work she never wanted to. At first when the other man smacked him in the back of the head she thought it was a stranger but then she giggled "It's alright he seems relatively harmless, to me anyway" and with that she made her way to her car parked a block down, not having wanted to pay the parking fee. @Vox

She saw about the shooting on the news, assumed to be gang activity by officers. Akiya had a mugshot posted from before he had his piercings.

And Akiya Tsumigita, 23, arrested from the ripe age of 12 nearly once a year for a variety of crimes stemming from theft, to arson, to assault. All of his court cases have been dropped or he escaped with legal loopholes. It is believed he was hit in the shooting so do keep an eye for him. Again this is his mugshot and he can also be identified by a gang tattoo across his leg of a black dragon and now heavy facial piercings. He is believed to be armed and dangerous. If you have any info regarding his whereabouts call your local police station.

A new picture flashed on screen of Kenji, holding the identification board with his name and a number. His hair was buzzed then and his face heavily mangled on one side like he'd been in a fight before the booking photo. He looked to be sixteen or seventeen in the photo.

Also, there has been sightings of the gang leader in the area; A Kenji Sasako previously Kenji Tirishima. Though there is no current warrants out for his arrest he is believed to be armed and dangerous and advise the public to be on alert. As this picture is over 20 years old he likely looks considerably different. He is best identified by his heterochromic eyes; the left green and the right being gray, and a pattern of heavy scarring across his back....

The news moved into the weather, leaving her to debate the new information. @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

Akira had just sat down to eat breakfast and have her morning coffee when the Akiyas familiar face had popped up on the screen. She couldn't help but turn the volume up to pay closer attention to what the announcer was saying and when she heard she felt her stomach drop. "He seemed so nice" she said aloud without realizing, she couldn't help but wonder if all the people he had assaulted were strictly gang related or if innocent people were part of his rap sheet too. And then there he was. Her newest, and best paying, client. Gang leader it repeated over and over again in her head and her appetite withered to nothing as she tossed her food in the trash and sat back down. That's why he's always on alert. It was a heavy realization. She was in danger every time she was there. She sat there for a long while, her coffee going cold as she thought about whether or not she could keep him as a client, she definitely needed the money, but what if he ended up hurting her, or worse. After what felt like ages she forced herself from her chair, deciding she would keep working for him, as long as she was extra careful she assured herself she would be fine. @Vox

His house was an empty shell. A place to sleep and pretend he had control. He'd locked his bedroom door, but he still stared at it. Waiting. With a groan he rolled in bed hauling up the blanket, hangover pounding behind his eyes. I thought I'd done good at keeping quiet. Tattoo shop ratted me maybe. he looked at his hand in front of him idly tapping his finger on the sheets. Damn it. he tsked curling up. Unable to sleep he pushed up to shower and dress, lacing a belt into the loops. Akiya waved when she came inside, holding the elevator. "Heya! Heading up?" He smiled brightly. @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

"I am, thanks!" She said a little breathlessly after running to the elevator, never one to make anyone wait longer than necessary. "Saw you on the news this morning" her heart hammered in her chest when the words slipped out "Im sorry I shouldn't have said that!" She gripped onto the strap of her purse the anxiety of having said that making her chest feel tight, worried he might break her neck right there, or worse have her boss do it. @Vox

He cringed rubbing the back of his neck. "Knew that'd happen at some point..." He mumbled. "I promise. I won't hurt you." He said lightly head down. He pushed his hands deeper in his pockets. He led the way to the apartment pale dyed hair pinned out of his eyes. When he came inside he announced his name loudly and flopped onto Kenji's couch.

Kenji opened his door and paused at the sight of her and sighed softly. Face cold he passed silently. "Let's go Akiya."

"What? Where?"

Kenji: "Victor got his ass arrested. He's more useful than you. Trade out."

He followed out his boss with a mumble of "Ouch. That hurts."

"Th-thank you" she smiled softly at him, she had hoped that he wouldn't. He hadn't seemed like that kind of man, but then again when do they ever? When they made it into the apartment she couldn't help but notice the tense energy radiating off of Kenji as she set her things down and hung up her jacket. Be safe she wanted to say but she kept it to herself. "I'll lock up when you go" is all she said instead, gathering her cleaning supplies to get to work @Vox

He'd come back after an hour with another man with him, the man quickly heading to use the private bathroom attached to his bedroom.

Kenji slumped on his couch, hand over his eyes as he tried to settle his thoughts. It all was imploding; losing his chess pieces, and setting the board on fire. "Fuck."

"S-sir are you alright?" She asked tentatively not wanting to cause him any more distress than he was clearly already in. "Can I get you some tea? Anything to help?" She couldn't help but feel the need to do anything she could for him, she wasn't quite sure why. Maybe it was because she knew he was a powerful man, or maybe it was because she spent so much time around him but she just wanted to help. @Vox

"I am alright..." He reassured rubbing his face gently. "Don't worry of it." He added, eyes flicking to her. "There is just... alot." He waved a hand pushing up to stand. He paused listening, then gently pushed her to the kitchen and to the pantry further in. "Keep quiet." He shut the door. She heard his front door slam open, and a fight and yelling ensued. "You don't seem alright.." she started to say before he had started pushing her I to the kitchen and when he shut her in the pantry she went to open it, to protest, but it was then that she heard the slam of the door opening and a loud fight ensuing. She was terrified and had to hold her hands over her mouth to keep from making any noise, unable to help it when the gunshot went off and she let out a scared murmur. Too afraid to come out she stayed hidden in the pantry, listening as hard as she cool to see if she could hear the door open again but it was hard over the roar of her heartbeat in her ears. @Vox

He yanked open the door and noted her there, looking down blinking. "Orion there's a woman here." He yelled back over his shoulder.

"Bring her out." She was brought out into the living room, Kenji wrapping an arm around himself hugging tight to his arm.

"She's just a cleaner." He tsked and Orion hit him across the face.

"Well. Who are you." He crossed his arms, the skin marked over with tattoos. "We have no reports of you." @𝓒𝓻𝔂𝓫𝓪𝓫𝔂 𝓚𝓲𝓽 🌸

"W-wait no!" She screamed when the strange man brought her out into the living room only settling once she saw her boss there. "M-my name is Akira I'm just the cleaner please I-I don't know anything I didn't see anything" her eyes welled up with tears "p-please don't hurt me please I'll do anything" @Vox
