Goooooooood Morning citizens of Pannera! It is a Beautiful morning, the sun is shining and it looks like the weather report shows a breezy day with highs of 75 across the city. For those not in the know, we’ve got the first ever cohabitation project starting up today downtown! Many animals thought this was a crazy political stunt by our newly elected governor and with the rise of prey disappearances over the last couple months everyone is saying it could be dangerous for the various prey that signed up. We’ll have to see how this little experiment goes! For now, let’s wake you up with our latest hit song fr- The radio alarm was quickly silenced. She was already up, had been for an hour at least, so she hadn’t needed her radio to wake her today. Instead she had been going back and forth between the dresser and her full length mirror, figuring out the outfit she’d wear. Today was the day. A calendar on the wall had multiple weeks crossed out in red X’s with today’s date circled. The words “Moving Day” written over the box in neat bubble letters. The room was small, painted in various pinks on the second floor of a modestly sized house. The figure kept moving back and forth between the dresser, the mirror and an open suitcase on the bottom bunk of her bed. The occupant of the top groaned. “I can’t wait til you leave…” a tired female voice said muffled under a pillow. “You’re so loud in the morning, Sirena..” “I am not! And your sour mood can’t spoil me today Maxine.” Blue or Pink? She shifted the shirts one and then the other in front of her in the mirror. “Take that radio with you… you know I work nights… I don’t know why you insist on being up so early.” Maxine yawned, sitting up in bed and rubbing her long black ears. A soft white furred hand began rubbing at her eyes and her little pink nose twitched as she woke up. Sirena just stuffed the last of her things including the radio into the open suitcase and zipped it closed. “Well after today you won’t have to
12:18
worry about it! You get a room to yourself, and I get a little space of my own!” She called back, dragging the suitcase out the door. Maxine’s ear flicked a little hearing the scraping on the floor, before she ultimately flopped back on the top bunk of the bed to try and go back to sleep. “Don’t trip Sirena…”
12:19
Downstairs was a mad house of rabbits of multiple ages running around a huge wooden table, sitting and eating breakfast reading a paper or staring at a smart phone in their hand. Most brown and white or various speckled colors. Nine brothers and sisters in a three bedroom house was too cramped, even for Sirena. And she was a rabbit, they were supposed to like small spaces. Sirena stood just under five foot three, a little taller when her ears stood up, with dark black fur that was as soft as a cloud. She had white fur on her chest and belly, as well as on the underside of her tail. Little freckles of white dotted under her eyes of sweet milk chocolate brown. Of course, they were often hidden by a pair of oversized round glasses. Today she sported a pink mini skirt and comfortable beige colored long sleeved top. She couldn’t decide if she wanted blue or pink it seemed, so something more neutral had been what was chosen instead. When she made it to the bottom of the stairs, hauling the little polka dot red and white suitcase down, she wasn’t even noticed. Typical in the house. All her siblings usually captured her parent’s attention after all, she was used to it. After today, it wouldn’t matter anyway. She was grown up enough to finally be out on her own and she couldn’t wait for a little peace and quiet.
12:19
“Morning Maxine.” “Sirena” “No, you couldn’t be Sirena” said a tired brown lop woman, holding a toddler in her arms who was fussing over the breakfast being served. “Sirena’s out with the moving truck..” “Oh Carrots, they’re here already!?” Sirena grabbed her bag and dragged it to the door. Guess goodbyes would have to wait. She raced out the door, nearly tripping down the stoop towards the moving truck that had been putting boxes into the back. “Watch your language young lady!” was all she could hear her mother yell after her before the door closed. “Looks… Looks like you’re all set Tammy” “Sirena…” “Right.. Siri… Sorry honey..” This came from a black and white rex, his hair gray with age and the stress of seeing one of his own leaving the burrow. His face was kind, albeit just as tired as the woman’s inside. “Now, are you sure you’re going to be ok Siri? This is a big step. Out on your own, and in a new place… and I heard there’s predators going to be in the same building… I don’t know if I like that… What if they get hungry?” he began but the little bunny just gave him a big hug, her fluffy tail twitching behind her. “I’ll be alright Papa! Besides, I won’t be alone, remember? My friend Ariana is going to room with me! So we’ll be able to keep each other safe.” Sirena’s friend Ariana was a white rex rabbit that had been her best friend since middle school. They had done everything together, and were as close to being sisters without being blood related. Which is saying a lot for rabbits. The horse who had been packing everything up in the truck, took the suitcase from Sirena and piled it in too. She was packed, ready to head to the new home she would be in. A couple siblings came outside to wave farewell to the young bunny as she hopped, quite literally, into the truck with the driver.
12:19
“You call me when you get settled, alright sugar-bun?” Her father said gently, holding her hand in concern. Sirena smiled and nodded. Of course she would. He reached up and gave her little pink nose a soft tap, which made her twitch it back and forth. Before long, she was leaving the suburban home behind. Leaning out the window to wave at her family on the green front lawn. Her little matching house fading away as they rounded out of the cul de sac and onto the open road. She felt bubbles of excitement and anxiety swell within her. She hadn’t heard from Ariana yet, though she was sure that she would see her at the complex building. The radio blast some music in the uhaul truck, and Sirena found herself staring out the window as the truck left the Prey residential district and turned towards the city. Where her new home awaited. It was going to be a great adventure, something that the rabbit was looking forward to. No more siblings taking up all the room in the house and all the attention. No more sharing everything because there wasn’t enough to go around. She was finally on her own, and what was best was her school wasn’t far from the PAC Complex either. Sirena thought she could even walk there if she really wanted to. As the truck continued on following the flow of traffic, Sirena took out her phone to check for messages again from Ariana. That’s odd… I thought she would have messaged me by now… She thought, thinking something might be up with her friend. They both had wanted some freedom and had volunteered for the project together. Surely she would be at the complex when Siri arrived. Maybe she was already there and unpacking. That would at least be a stretch; Ariana wasn’t exactly one to wake up early. “It’s fine.. I’m sure she’s already there.” Sirena said aloud, bouncing a little in excitement in her seat. The horse that drove just nickered and shook his head. He likely thought similarly to the many of the other citizens of the city. This was a fool’

He skipped the news segment on his phone, returning the music as he got ready. Skimming the comb through his wet hair he slicked it back from his face. Ears flicking back in annoyance as he heard his brother climbing the steps he rewet his brush to straighten the fluff at his arms. "Noc hurry up I want your room." The older boy grabbed his siblings muzzle shaking him in place. "Fuckin stop. I'm going." He tsked and tugged on a pale gray sweater over black jeans. "I'll drive you in." The lighter offered jangling his keys. His elder brother was a 'Royal white' so when the two stood together, most didn't consider them to be related. His brother had no color, while Noctis was, what his mother loved to call him, "Pumpkin." "Sure. Keeps me from uberin'" He nudged him out of his way, picking up his backpack and slinging it over his shoulder. He tucked a large box into his brothers arm to carry. "You really need to bring these?" Logan pushed up his glasses and Noctis patted the box. "I'm not letting you sell my shit when I leave." Noctis rolled his eyes and headed downstairs to his brothers car. He knew the other was just being chummy to get him out. The siblings fought near constantly and rarely got along for longer than 20 minutes at a time. But he appreciated the help... He set his box into the rear seat and took the others Logan brought down to him to the SUV. Both twins folded their lanky frames into the car and Noctis set his knees on the dash to make room for his toolbox. "So. Figure out who your roommate is?" Logan pulled the car from the gate and clicked the button to close it behind them. "Naw. I'm assuming another Predator. I'm just hoping for a bit of space. Especially after all the bullshit with Lauren." "Mom." "She ain't our mom." He shot him a glance, gold eyes narrowing in warning. Sighing he looked out the window, kneading his pants, watching the house disappear behind him. I'll be closer to mom. He reasoned with himself. *And farther from Dad and La

uren...* That was the more important part. Logan's music whined in his ears and he chuffed, baring inch long teeth, but left it be to avoid the argument. "Hey, maybe you'll get a prey roommate. Apartment to yourself." Logan laughed tapping his claws on the wheel. Noctis hoped he was joking. Not a very good joke. He convinced his brother to at least help bring his boxes to the flat, giving over five bucks for it. Once Logan was out he let out a relaxed sigh and stretched, striped tail lashing, and wiped the pads of his feet off before looking at both rooms. Maybe I should wait.... Larger has the larger room makes sense to me. Granted their both similar. He noted dragging his claws down his dark fur of his throat. He stood in the center of the apartment and snapped a picture posting it with a label of In my own place and, a soft smile across his face, sent it to his friend Jacob. He knew Jacob thought it all was idiotic but would be happy if his friend was. They'd always been close.

“You sure have a lot of books Ms. Bun..” “Oh.. I know. Sorry about that.” Sirena said gently, thanking the driver of the u-haul for his assistance with getting the heavier boxes on a cart for her. It’d be easier to take them to her new flat this way. When she had checked in at the large security gate of the complex a ewe had told her that her roommate had arrived not long before her. Well why hadn’t Ariana messaged me then? That bratty bunny. Sirena chastised, taking her key to the apartment, and pulling the cart up to the door. Ten, Eleven, Twelve.. “Ah, number 13. Figures… a pair of bunnies in an unlucky apartment number.” Sirena said softly, rolling her eyes at the idea. Of course they’d put the symbols of luck in the unluckiest numbered apartment. Where folks got off that a rabbit’s foot let alone multiples of them were lucky, Siri would never understand. It just seemed cruel to her. “Alright. Here I come Ariana!” She said to herself, bouncing a little on the balls of her toes as she turned the key in the door and opened it up. The layout of the apartment was fairly open and spacious from what she could see, considering her back was to the main living space as she pulled her cart into the flat. Sirena hadn’t looked around yet, hadn’t checked to see if Ariana was even in the apartment yet or who else might be standing in the living space after having just snapped a photo of it. Instead she was focused on the cart she was trying to pull into the doorway. Her long black ears fell forwards, as she strained to drag her heavy boxes of books into the apartment. Without warning, a buzzing sound from inside the pocket of her frilled pink mini-skirt startled her and made her lose her grip on the trolley. Sirena let out a little squeak of a noise, tumbling backwards onto the hardwood floor and landing on her back against something tall, striped and furred. Her paws went to the back of her head, her little face screwed up in pain at her own clumsiness before she rig

hted her large round glasses on her nose and looked up at the figure she’d accidentally fallen in front of. As he came into focus she realized pretty quickly that this was not Ariana, the white rex rabbit she was supposed to room with. In fact, he wasn’t a rabbit at all, his long striped tail slashing back and forth over her face. Her legs and paws curled in, and her fingers immediately fussed at her skirt to try and keep herself decent. Not that she wasn’t wearing shorts underneath them of course. Thinking maybe she had the wrong place, her head immediately corrected her. They gave her the key, it fit and unlocked the door. This had to be the right place. So… if I’m in the right apartment… then… is he.. In the wrong apartment? She wondered, though she was more frightened at having just collided with a tiger to really ask him what he was doing in her living room. “Oh carrots…” @Vox

He heard the door but barely turned before something smacked into the back of his legs. He pitched forward a step in surprise, looking back and moving his tail aside. He didn't expect a rabbit moving her long ears aside least of all a girl. You've got to be kidding me. He backed up enough the small rabbit could get up. From the floor he grabbed her key comparing it to his own and then tsked, teeth bared in an upset grimace. "Of course they fuckin did it this way." He rolled his eyes and set her key onto the table. "I'm taking the bigger room." He stated bluntly, gold eyes pinning her on the floor. He hauled one of his boxes into his arms and put his shoulder to the door into his room. Why a Goddamn rabbit?! he slammed the box onto his bed, ears swiveled back against his skull and hackles raised. Of course there was a catch to it all. He walked back to the living room only to get more boxes, pretty much ignoring her. He was not going to let this decide how he felt. Besides its not like she'd do anything to him.... He eventually came back out and with an arm at his side, stuck out the other to shake. His palm pads were dark but spotted with pink in small splotches with inch long claws. "I'm sorry for my outburst. My name is Noctis." @💜𝓕𝓲𝓸𝓻𝔂💜

Sirena flinched for a moment seeing him move and then the light flash of teeth as he looked down at her. It wasn’t like she meant to, she’d just slipped! Before she realized another thing, her key was snatched out of her hand and she blinked in both shock and mild irritation. “H-Hey! That’s-” She stammered out only to be silenced when he glared at her. She hadn’t dared try to get up yet, too frightened of what this tiger would do to her if she made a sudden movement. ”I’m taking the bigger room” “Wha? I mean.. Uh.. S-Sure.. Th-that’s fine..” There was something seriously wrong here. She wasn’t supposed to be roomed up with a tiger. Where was Ariana? The experiment specifically had stated that predator and prey would be in the same building, not the same apartment! In silence, she just watched the tiger take his things and stomp off towards the master bedroom at the end of a small hallway. A secondary room looked to be off to the left, while the bathroom they would be sharing was on the right as well as a small washer and dryer unit. Slowly, Sirena got herself up off her back, sitting with her legs tucked neatly under her to examine the room. There was a singular black couch, a few empty white bookshelves in the open living space. A large window and a small door that led to a balcony outside. On the other side of the room was the kitchen in a u shape with elegant black marble looking countertops and white cabinets and drawers. Each apartment had been set up in a fairly neutral color scheme of blacks, grays and whites so that the occupants could customize them on their own for the year they were staying. The TV mounted to the wall in front of the couch was a nice addition, even if Sirena had no clue what to put on. She didn’t often get to watch TV; it was always too loud at her house. “There has to be a mistake here…” She said finally, getting to her feet and beginning to brush herself off. “This… this isn’t how it’s supposed to be…” the rabbit continued to g

rumble, feeling her pocket vibrate again like a nuisance. Each time he came out to get a box, she’d leap out of the way, her ears high giving her an added foot or two of height to her otherwise short stature. “W-Well… if he’s not leaving..” She decided after a few minutes of just watching him and tapping her foot irritably. “Th-Then… Well.. Neither am I.” One by one she took her boxes into the other room, noting that it looked similar in size if not a bit more square shaped. The beds were already furnished, with drawers under them in lieu of a need for a dresser or closet. A small desk and a bookshelf were also placed in each room as several of the occupants had requested this since many were in college nearby. She was picking up another box when he came back out again and her ears swung back and pinned against her head. ”I’m sorry for my outburst. My name is Noctis.” She quirked an eyebrow at him for a moment, before pushing her glasses up her little pink nose. Her paw came out to greet him, if only a little more hesitantly, once she saw the long claws he sported and how much bigger his was to hers. Swallowing down some of that initial fear, she gingerly took his paw and shook it, retracting hers back quickly afterwards. “I’m.. I’m Sirena… I think there’s been a mistake…” She started, feeling her phone go off again in her pocket and wondering if she should bother answering it this time. @Vox

He crossed his arms, claws tucked into his fur. "Overall let me just say this now. Even if I'm unhappy it's not my intention to stress. Obviously there's a mistake. Until it gets figured out we need to make do I guess." His muzzle wrinkled, ears flicking. They seemed to never stay still. His face was divided heavily between three sections, his upper face oranges and browns, his cheeks cream sliced through with the same deep brown of his chin and neck. He had two small holes in his lower lip from old piercings he'd taken out. His eyes were golden on the edges and more a tarnished green in the centers about his pupils. "Stay outta my shit and outta my way and we will have no problems." He gave an awkward half grin, canines popped over his lip. Sighing he ruffled his hair as he tucked into the kitchen, tapping the kitchen counter with his claws debating what he needed. Might as well go to the store. I guess I'm onto faux meat? he grumbled softly chuffing. He had no problem ignoring her and was content. She was tiny anyway not like she'd be a nuisance like Logan. Fetching a coat from his room he tugged it on and realized it was smaller than he remembered. It'd been in the back of his closet at home. He sucked in a breath slightly to hook the buttons but realized he was too big for it. Damn... he let out the breath and tossed the coat onto the back of the living room chair before picking back up his keys. "I'm going to the store." Why am I announcing it? he blinked at himself grimaced and headed for the door.

Sirena watched as he crossed his arms, and immediately she felt her nose twitch a little, deciding she would do the same. Mirroring him only as a short rabbit, she nodded her head, her long ears swaying a little at the movement. Her nose wrinkled a little when he threatened her, her fluffed tail twitching irritably at the audacity he had. It wasn’t her fault he was here with her. “W-Well… That goes for you t-too!” She stated as defiantly as she possibly could, side stepping behind him when he walked into the kitchen so she could retreat to her room. Once there she began pacing in frustration, something Siri always did when she couldn’t figure something out. It always helped her think, continual movement. Her phone buzzed again and irritated she finally pulled it out to check who would be trying to reach her at a time like this. The first was an email from the property management. Standard Welcome mail that Sirena skimmed but ultimately moved way from. The second buzz had been another email from the property management team, explaining the situation. Quietly, Sirena read it in a mumbled voice aloud. “Due to the discrepancy we came across, we regret to inform you that at this time there is no other alternative for you to stay at the PAC Experiment unless you agree to stay with one Mr. Noctis Kenji. Please note that if it is your wish to remove yourself from the project, we will certainly accommodate your departure What??? I’m not leaving!” Sirena said, flabbergasted at the idea. One thing was for sure, she was stuck with a tiger as a roommate according to the building management. The email went on to say they would attempt to rehome the pair of them if an availability came up, but Sirena didn’t feel too confident in that regard. The final two messages had been texts, from Ariana. Sirena scowled a little at them, wondering what on earth was going on. *Hey Siri! Look, I had to drop out of the program. Tried to call you but you didn’t answer. Probably no sign
16:06
al. I got a job across town and the commute would have blown! Hope you got a great alternate roomie! I want to hear all about her!* “Oh you’ll hear about it alright Ari…” Sirena groaned. So that was the discrepancy then. Ariana dropped out, and Sirena had no one else to room with, other than Noctis. Perfect… At his mention of going to the store, she poked her head out of her room. Why was he telling her? She wasn’t his problem or anything. Maybe he’s picking up stuff for the apartment? “Uh ok…What are you picking up?” She asked, the question coming out before she could stop herself. What did she care? He could pick up whatever he wanted to, it wasn’t like she was going to be asked to go with him or anything. Besides that she still had boxes to bring in and unpack. @Vox

He tried not to laugh at her mimicking him then headed for his room for his coat. At the accidental announcement of where he was going he huffed rolling his eyes. "I'm not buying shit for you." He barked as he shut the door behind him. He thumped down the steps heavily into the lobby, tugging out his phone and reading the emails. There's no way I'm leaving. I don't need Logan giving me shit.... Sighing he hooked the bus, finding his fare in the pouch of his wallet and waiting behind the family in front of him. It was an orange tabby and his mother, the small boy looking up at him while his mother fussed through her purse. The boy growled softly at him and he silently bared his teeth back, smiling as the boy giggled and went to the seat with his parent. He dropped the three coins into the collection box, steadying himself on the seats as he found a place to stand in the back. Hooking his headphones over the back of his head and pressed the bone conduction speakers to his head. Hopefully she ain't loud. Ugh. Or get pregnant. he grimaced to himself. I need to visit mom tomorrow. The bus window was smeared with prints, blurring some things and he sighed setting his head on his arm. The quiet music helped settle him enough he stopped worrying. I don't even know anything about her. Guilt kind of tugged at his stomach and he apologized silently to his mother. He could practically hear her. 'I taught you better Noctis.' Absent-minded he rubbed a knuckle up his muzzle like she always did. With an unnecessary jump he hopped from the bus to the sidewalk and headed for the grocery. Taking a basket and starting through the aisles he got enough for the week. At the cold shelf he paused holding one of the plastic containers huffing. He put the real stuff back and replaced it with four trays of the faux. It was more expensive but he needed this roommate thing to be smooth and if he came back the first day with real meat? He went through the self check out and got

back quick enough to catch the bus back, canvas bag in hand.

”I’m not buying shit for you.” “Wha- Well… I.. I didn’t want you to anyway!” She shouted indignantly at him, her cheeks puffing a little irritably as his footsteps thudded away down the hall and out of the apartment. Well of all the rude jerks! She thought, stomping her soft fluffy feet back into the room to continue bringing her boxes into her room. It took most of the morning by the time she was done, bringing the cart back to the lobby of the apartment complex. She thanked the ewe at the counter for letting her borrow it, before making her way back home. Home.. Yup, this was her new home. And here she was sharing it with a grumpy irritable and rude tiger. Sirena began unpacking her boxes, organizing them by leisurely reading to school books. She had books on nearly every subject, though she was light on mathematics. As funny as it was, she was never very good at that particular subject, considering rabbits were known for multiplying and all that. “I never want a big family…” Sirena groaned, thinking back on her very large family cramped in that roughly average sized home. Everyone sharing rooms and bathrooms and stuffed in a space too small to hold them all. At least here with a tiger she had her own space. She could spread out and didn’t have to worry about bumping into anyone just by existing. Well, except for Noctis. “Guess that’s a nice name… kind of wish it went to a nice pred at least..” She scoffed, pulling out her phone and deciding that since it was nearly noon, and she was hungry, that the perfect thing to do was to order some take out. About fifteen minutes later she was greeting the kind fawn at the door accepting a medium sized margarita pizza. She wouldn’t be able to finish it, but anything extra she’d have as leftovers at least. Sirena was just sitting down on the couch with the pizza box on the coffee table in front of her, when her ears twitched when she heard the door open. Her immediate response was to shrink back down, her ears falling back so she was just barely looking over the back of the couch as he came inside. Her eyes moved to the bag he had, before she turned instead to the pizza she’d ordered. He probably won’t like it anyway… but… Her parents had always instilled manners, and she certainly wasn’t showing them. “You… You probably won’t like it…it’s veggie.. B-but… “ Sirena flicked the box open, her ears flat against her skull, wondering why exactly herself that she was deciding to be nice to the big striped jerk. “Y-You can have a piece… if… if you want…Call it a.. "Do you drink coffee? I bought this canned stuff but I opened one on the way home and they're disgusting." He responded back as he unpacked his Grocery bag, half crouched. He had held up a can over the ledge of the counter so she could see. "I should be making lunch but I'm lazy..." He tossed the bag into the closet by the door and shut it, "I missed swimming too." He noted softer as he hooked a claw in the box pulling it to him. "Junk food will be the death of me." He tugged a bite free as he headed for two boxes on the floor he hadn't unpacked, pizza in one hand and tugging out a character model from a popular video game. He sat holding the base flat with a foot and carefully putting them back together as he ate. @💜𝓕𝓲𝓸𝓻𝔂💜

"Do you drink coffee?" "Coffee? We-well...yeah I do...I work at a cafe actually..." Sirena began, her ear flicking so she could hear him better. Her eyes turned to the can and she tilted her head to the side. She'd never had coffee from a can before, just drinks that were freshly made. Her ears flopped to one side with the motion giving her an inquisitively cute look as Noctis made his way back around the counter and plopped himself down. She watched cautiously as he took a slice of her pizza, hearing him grumble about how junk food would be the death of him. "Well...sure...if..if you eat it all the t-time..." She said in a softer voice, attempting to be a bit braver around the large predator. "Besides...it's got veggies on it...at least..." Her eyes soon moved to the model he pulled out, leaning forward with interest at the details of it. Her curiosity getting the better of her, Siri couldn't help but shift herself a little closer, her ears casting a small shadow over the figure while he worked. "What's that?" She asked, a little hesitant still and ready to leap away if he got mad at how close she was, but she was hoping to at least be able to be civil with him. He was the first predator she'd ever really met and Sirena figured if they were going to live together, she might as well attempt to get along with him. Even if he did come across as a grump. @Vox

He set the fully put together, a younger boy with a bow and sygils across his arms. "Video game character. I like making them." He set the statuette where she could see, leaning back on a hand to eat the crust of his pizza. The box in his lap was full of clay figurines and small miniatures that were a bit stronger and able to be transported in lazy packagings. Most of them were in pieces and needed to be reassembled. He started on these, putting them back together and setting them on the side table. He was surprised she hadn't left the room. Nor that he hadn't. He preferred the brighter light in this room than his bedroom. Even for someone with large hands and claws that he had, he had surprising dexterity in dealing with the small parts. He had creatures in resin cubes like water, people from movies and games, fantasy creatures. "What about you? You gotta have a hobby or something." He glanced over lightly, "based on your boxes I'd say books." Pushing up he carefully carried a few to his room, leaving the door open to hear her response. He set his items onto the shelf and arranging them carefully. He emptied his first box and went into the other two: one of which was models and other small items, the second a small collection of art supplies for it all. It was clear they were well used but he was obsessive of their care. He brought it all into his room and put it away, humming softly still listening to his headset. From one of his suitcases he brought a few medications into the kitchen, took one of them, and put them in the highest cupboard where they'd be out of her way. He was content and quiet, seemingly more concerned with unpacking than her there. "Do you have a preference for splitting the fridge?" @💜𝓕𝓲𝓸𝓻𝔂💜

"Oh..." Sirena didn't really play video games or watch movies like that. She'd always wanted to, they'd looked like fun to her, but in a house full of rabbits it was hard to get time to yourself like that so she'd never had the opportunity. Her fingers came forward a moment when he set the model down, gingerly turning the figure and tilting her head at it. So he liked figures like this? Do all predators like little things like this? She thought to ask him, but decided against it. Considering it might come across as rude. "Y-Yeah.. I really enjoy reading..." Sirena admitted with a soft flush on her face. She had enough books to stock half a library, but she loved each and every one of them. Each one told a story and gave her a window into a world that was different than her own. An escape from a reality she would rather not dwell on if she didn't have to. "I... I'm going to school to be a writer or... or a teacher or something...I um.. I hadn't decided which one yet..." She continued, calling out to him when he walked away with his things. When he returned, she could hear him humming something, but she got the feeling that he was done talking to her and would prefer to do things on his own. Sirena wasn't exactly sure what to make of him. At one point he was snarky and rude to her, the next he seemed somewhat polite and further still he just seemed to ignore that she was there all together. Were all predators like this? Just aloof? Couldn't be really, not with all the news she'd had shoved down her ears of how violent or aggressive they were. The larger ones too were the worst, but he didn't seem like the type that the radio or news stations would describe. "No... I don't really care... as long as it's organized I think..." She said gently, hopping off the couch and bounding over. She was a bit short in comparison to him, watching as he took something and then put it up far higher than she could actually reach. At least, not without a significant boost. "Um...

C-Can I just put my things on the bottom? I..uh... I can't really reach the top shelves in the cabinets..." Her ears fell and she twirled her fingers together nervously. It was still odd talking to a predator, let alone asking for something of him. Wherever she was getting this dose of bravery, she just hoped it would stay. @Vox

"Yea. Makes it easier for me." He put his things on the top shelf, making sure his things were out of the way. "If you want I can hook one of my gaming systems out here. You can watch Netflix and stream on it. Most of my games for it are on disk though." He offered as he shut the fridge carefully tearing the packaging off a box of drink mixes. "If you'd like that is. Else I'll keep it in my room." He went looking for a cup in the cupboard and filled it with water, pouring the powder into it staining it pink. He understood why she was scared, but he wished she'd stop. He didn't want to frighten her and he didn't know how to change her view... he sipped his cup shifting his weight from foot to foot tail flicking behind him. At least she's calmed down a little... he noted. He hooked up his Playstation on the living room television whether she said yes or not, tucking the disks onto a shelf in the entertainment stand. Setting both controllers onto the charger stand he sat back debating what to do. He didn't have school or work and was too lazy to fully unpack. Flopping on his back on the floor and rubbing the pads of his feet on the rug he closed his eyes, chuffing under his breath. Even if he was sharing the apartment he was happy to be away from the house. @💜𝓕𝓲𝓸𝓻𝔂💜

"Oh? Uh... S-Sure... if you want to." Sirena answered him quietly, her ear flicking at the sudden ask if she cared if his gaming system was out in the living space. She'd never played it before, but thought it was at least considerate of him to mention she could use it. Perhaps he wasn't so bad, time would tell. Her chocolatey eyes watched him make himself a drink before she decided she should probably get something herself. Sirena stood on her tip toes, opening the cabinet with the glasses that were provided and pulling a small one out for herself. Her nose twitched a little as she watched him, her head tilting every so often as he moved about, gathering that gaming system and hooking up to the television in the living room. She wondered if he'd play a game now and thought for sure he hadn't finished unpacking yet. Had he? However, once he'd gotten the thing hooked up, he seemed unsure what to do. Sirena walked carefully over as he flopped onto the floor, making an odd sound she'd never heard before. Stretching out she leapt onto the couch, her glass held tight in her hand to keep from dropping it, before she crossed her legs on the couch and peered down at him. For a moment or two she just watched him lay there, thoroughly interested in this predator that didn't act one bit like the ones she'd heard about, before her hand reached forward and put her glass on the table. Her fingers carefully pulled a slice of her pizza out and she began nibbling on the slice sweetly. "I'm... I'm gonna put the pizza away... but uh... you're welcome to have some... if... if you want." She said after she'd finished, a little over half the pizza left when she finally closed the box. The longer she hung out in his space, the more comfortable she got, even though she didn't know if that was a good or a bad thing. Her hands came forward to gently hold her ankles while she sat cross legged on the couch, her little pink skirt fluttered over her thighs and her long comfortable shirt loos

He'd rolled and crawled out into the sun room, laying out in the dappled sun coming through. Sipping his drink lightly he clicked a button on his headset changing the music, enjoying the heat. Shifting onto his stomach he tugged off his sweater and used it as a pillow tail lashing across the back of his legs. His spine was colored black and had thicker fur, his sides orange and cut through with his stripes. His fur length varied enough to make him stand out compared to most tigers she'd seen. They all had smoother or slick coats and Noctis was more.... fluffy. Some time off would do him good. Just a small nap.... His phone rang and the loud tone blared in his headphones which he ripped off, hackles raised. Clicking his phone he put his headset back on, "This is Noctis..." "Did you take my controller" "No." "I'm outside your door give me back my shit." Noctis snarled hanging up and storming to the front door and yanking it open.

He shoved passed his smaller brother and paused seeing Sirena sitting on the couch. "They're rooming you with a doe? Seriously?" He scoffed. Logan was larger in build than Noctis and completely white. His coat was sliced through with jagged black stripes and his eyes were a cloudy gray. Thick framed glasses rested low down his muzzle.

Sirena watched with interest for a little while, her eyes glancing down the stripes of him as Noctis got himself comfortable outside. However, since he seemed to have relaxed a little, it was much easier for the smaller bunny to do so. So as quietly as she could, she packed up the pizza box and put it away in the fridge for later. From there Sirena decided that if he was going to relax, then she was going to try to as well. This was just as much her home as it was his apparently. On soft pawed steps, she strode into her room and ran her finger over a few of her more recreational reading material. Finally pulling out a romance book and grinning. She loved this story; complete opposites that had to work together for a common goal. Their love story took root and before they knew it, the pair in the story couldn't get enough of each other, fighting through dangerous scenarios in order to get back together. Sirena was always a sucker for a good romance novel. Nearly skipping, she made her way back to the couch, pausing briefly to watch him out on the balcony sun room. Her ears flicked but he seemed content enough, so she flopped herself down like an overly large stuffed toy opened her book to read. Not even five minutes after she'd gotten herself settled and she was just getting into her book did she hear the snarling sound from outside. Her eyes moved to watch Noctis as he stormed back inside. Who was that? She wondered, cowering on the couch as he swung the front door open. To her horror a much larger tiger strode in past Noctis, white and black in color. It made Sirena visibly shrink on the couch, her ears falling softly to either side of her face. Great, now there's two of them!? She thought, trying her best not to panic. She had only just started getting used to the one tiger being around, now there was a second one! "I uh...." Sirena squeaked, scooting herself backwards into the arm of the couch, even after Noctis came to stand between herself and the white

invading tiger. She watched him signal to her to stay put, but everything in her was telling Sirena she needed to bolt. It was her natural instinct after all as a rabbit. When there's danger, you run and you hide. Not wanting to turn her back on either big cat, Sirena just slid back on the couch, her knees coming up to her chest as she backed herself into the arm of the sofa in question. Now she felt really trapped. How was she supposed to navigate this? She'd only just met the one, and now this white one seemed ruder than him! "D-Do... Do you know him?" She asked, looking at the back of Noctis' head a moment, but also keeping her eye on the white tiger too. Her large feel kept agency underneath her, coiled and ready to spring away if she really needed to. Her heart was pounding heavily, even a Sirena tried to take steadying breaths to try and calm down and not let her fear overwhelm her. How could she not be afraid; She wasn't very big and here she was alone in an apartment with two much larger tigers. The kind of predator that would take Sirena as an appetizer if given the chance. At least... I mean... Noctis hasn't tried... yet I guess...he was kind of rude... but... he..he hasn't come after me though... She thought, doing everything she could to convince her bunny instincts to at least try and trust that paw that was telling her to stay put. It was much easier said then done. @Vox

"Just take my fuckin things and I'll buy new ones I don't care." He pushed Logan for his bedroom and shoved the two controllers to his chest snarling, "Just get out. Leave me alone leave Sirena alone let me have my own damn life." Logan looked at him and pointedly snarled, "You're just like her." Palms at the others back Noctis pushed at Logan to get him out the door and then slammed it shut behind. Logan complained outside of it for a minute pounding on the door then left, cussing his way down the stairs. Noctis sagged and backed away from the door, sighing and ruffling his hair. "I'm sorry I couldn't explain. Thank you for staying in place. He likes frightening people and I was afraid he'd chase." He sighed sinking down to the floor to sit. He was shaking. His hands trembled and he squeezed them into fists. Just like her... he set his head back on the door. "That's my ass of a twin." Rubbing his eyes on his knuckles he curled up his legs, trying to settle his thoughts. "I'm going to get locks. I don't trust him." He mumbled a little, quiet. I'd did this to get away and he shows up here... "Hes an ass. I'm sorry to bring this down on you. It's my fault for having him drive me." He curled up by the door arms over his head and tail over his paws. @💜𝓕𝓲𝓸𝓻𝔂💜

”You’re just like her.” What did that mean? Was he calling Noctis a rabbit? Sirena wasn’t sure she understood and she didn’t know if she wanted to understand. The shouting of the two rang in her ears and she winced at the loud sounds. The best part of being a rabbit was the keen sense of hearing. The worst part, was also their keen sensitive hearing. Sirena winced hearing the door slam as the white tiger was forcefully evicted from the apartment by Noctis, watching with interest as he slumped onto the floor with his back to the door. Carefully, her ears pointed forward as if she were waiting for him to lash out or for that other tiger to return again, Sirena slid herself off the couch and cautiously made her way towards her sullen roommate. Her fingers fidgeted at her little pink skirt, finding it odd indeed that she was taller than Noctis in this way, while he sat curled up on the floor. Her head tilted a little listening to him and raising an eyebrow. That was his twin? He looked nothing like him. She wondered if that was the case for other tiger siblings too, but didn’t let it dwell on her mind long. “Um…” Her voice was very quiet, her knees bending a little so she could sit on her legs in front of him. He’d put his arms over his head and wrapped his tail around his legs. In a matter of a couple hours, this tiger had shouted at her, been rude, then shared his hobby with her and finally just now stood up to one of his own in her defense. He was a mystery, a mind boggling mystery to Sirena and certainly not the kind of predator she initially thought him to be. “Th-Thank you…for all that…” She said quietly, her ears falling sweetly back a little. Her fingers adjusted her glasses on her nose, before they came forward. Every instinct she had told her to pull away, to hide in her room, to run from the clear danger in front of her, but Sirena just continued cautiously. Her fingers lightly ran through the fluffy tiger fur on his head, a gentle petting motion to

try and soothe or help him feel better. She didn’t blame him for how his brother acted. “I’ve… I’ve got lots of siblings…they’re all a pain too…” she murmured, her little fluffed tail twitching behind her. “I.. I don’t blame you for.. For how he acted or anything…you know..” She let her hand continue to run her fingers through his fur, before retracting it and holding it firmly in her lap. A soft pink flush rose on her cheeks a little at the boldness she felt she displayed, her chocolate brown eyes glancing away from him a moment. “S-Sorry… My mum would do that when I was upset… I… I just wanted to help..” @Vox

His ears flicked back at the touch, but he shifted his arms so she could touch his head easily. His fur was thick and almost difficult to pet through and the color went down to the skin. He chuffed softly, dark nose flaring. "It's okay. It helped." He reassured with a soft smile. He'd tugged back on his sweater and carefully got off the floor. "Guess I have to buy new ps5 controllers." He sighed rubbing the back of his neck debating if he should go now. Too tired... He looked down at her looking up at him. "Thank you." Quietly he stepped passed her arms tucked about his waist, "I'm going to go lay down..." Sliding into his room he got under his blankets, wrapping up to nap. What a shitty start... he sighed rubbing his muzzle for comfort. He was back up into the evening and visibly more active, getting ready to go exercise. Humming under his breath he premixed his drink clicking through his messages. @💜𝓕𝓲𝓸𝓻𝔂💜

The soft sound that he made was a little odd of a noise for her to hear, her ears falling softly behind her. He seemed exhausted, though she couldn't imagine why. It was barely midday, though while Sirena had been awake most of the morning she supposed she didn't know how late or early Noctis had been awake. So far the day had not gone to plan at all. Not only was she rooming with a tiger that seemed to want nothing to do with her, but he also apparently had a scary brother that knew where they lived and was larger than he was. When Noctis complained about needing to get new controllers, Siri just nodded. She wondered why he would let his brother just take his things like that, but who was she to question whatever relationship Noctis had with that white tiger brother of his. "You.. You're welcome.." She replied softly, a small smile coming to her cheeks, remaining low on the ground as he stepped around her and then informed her he would be going to lay down. Maybe tigers were just, always tired. Sirena just nodded her head in acknowledgement of it, before she stood up herself. Her paws lightly dusted herself off and while Noctis was in his room snuggled and sleeping, Sirena set about the task of unpacking the rest of her room. She got most of her books put away on the provided shelves, though she did have a stack that had to remain on the floor until she found a better place for it. Afterwards, she took her laptop out and set herself up on the small desk in her room. This way she could do her coursework or any of her classes if needed. By the time the evening drew around, Sirena had finished two essays she needed to complete for class even though she didn't have class for a few days and the assignments weren't due even then. She shocked herself at how much she could get done when she wasn't being interrupted a thousand times by little bunnies that wanted everything from her. Even if she had to room with a tiger that wanted nothing to do with her, this was heaven
10:21
. As a reward, she picked up her book and made her way back out to the living room couch. She sprawled herself out to read, her little tail twitching happily at the idea of being able to lounge without worry. The trouble was she was a bit more tired than she had initially thought with the stress of not only moving but all the dramatics that came with it. So when Noctis came out, he'd find a quietly snoozing bunny on the couch in her little pink skirt with a book laying open against her chest where it had fallen after she ended up passing out. @Vox

His water bottle in hand he gently took her book, tucking in a bookmark. Shutting it he set it aside and tugged down a blanket to cover her. Flicking the switch to the light as he left he made sure the door was locked behind him. The evening was always his favorite time, and with places staying open later and later it made it easier to indulge. If only he could change his class times.... He caught Jake on the way to the gym, both going in the evenings when it was emptier. He'd been friends with the hyena since he was a child when both were the only predators in their tiny school year. Both had kept each other toward the narrow, Noctis vouching when Jake was arrested and Jake often giving him a place to stay when the tiger couldn't bare his family anymore. Noctis slid into the others car, hanging his arm out the window. Noctis returned in the evening, hair ruffled from roughly showering and drying after a pool swim. He unlocked the door and keeping quiet, checked to see if she'd gone to bed while he washed his dishes. @💜𝓕𝓲𝓸𝓻𝔂💜 <Jacob Everlane>

The light was actually on when he came back to the apartment, her door open and a light clicking sound being made from inside it. When she heard the door open and close, her ears flicked a little. She'd woken back up not long after he had left, confused that her book was closed and her place saved, a blanket covering her while she'd snoozed on the couch. She knew she hadn't made herself that comfortable before, so there was only one conclusion she could come to. Hearing the water splashing in the sink against dishes, Sirena stood up from her laptop where she had been working on a personal project. A manuscript that she'd wanted to write for a very long time that she really was only just getting started with. Her eyes peered down at the time, recognizing it was pretty late. Where had he gone? Why do you care? It's not like you're anything more than a roommate... or a snack if you piss him off... The negative thoughts were quietly brushed aside. "Welcome back..." She said quietly, her ears high as she walked out of her bedroom and came to stand at the counter top. She'd changed into more pajamas instead, wearing short pink bottoms and a pink tank top camisole. It had little white flowers on them on the edges for decoration and hugged her black fur. Her head tilted a little looking up at him. "Did you go swimming? I didn't know tigers liked to swim..." It was said as a more thoughtful statement, not necessarily trying to be rude or disrespectful. She didn't know, simple as that. @Vox

He hung up his coat and bag in his cupboard and shut the slider door. "I try to be quiet in the evenings but I will be more active." He advised lightly ruffling his hair and ears. His fur had dried in crazy whorls making him look a little ragged. "I'm surprised you're still awake." Leaning back on the counter, tail flicking, he started fiddling with a food package to make dinner for himself. Jake had brought him some food from his work and Noct popped the Styrofoam lid, scooping a shrimp in his mouth. He crunched it in his back teeth. Early mornings and late nights sometimes…” She said a little bashfully. There were times where the poor bunny had a hard time sleeping, so she would end up taking small naps during the day when she didn’t get enough at night. Sirena just leapt out of his way, light on her feet if a little clumsy with her movements. Her soft brown eyes just watched him put things away and then lean against the counter to enjoy whatever dinner he’d brought home for himself. “Oh.. thanks for getting new locks… did… did you want me to pay you for half of it?” She asked, biting her lower lip gently before she moved towards her purse by the couch.
