James laughs a bit, "Well, I... might have become slightly obsessive about keeping this place clean. I have entirely too much free time when I've been in between information searches. Cleaning keeps my mind off of the past, if only for a little while"
There should be some tea bags in one of the cabinets above the stove, just gotta warm up some water. Where did he put the kettle again? James sets his glass of water down on the bar and starts to work in the kitchen, grabbing a mug, a tea bag, and searching for the kettle to boil some water. He glances over his shoulder when she asks if he minds, oh, a cigarette. Pausing on finding a kettle, James steps over to the stove and turns the hood on low to hopefully get some of the smoke out of the room without being too loud and distracting. It wasn't a problem with him, his best friend smoked, and dragged him along on smoke breaks sometimes, but if he could keep the entire apartment from smelling like smoke, it'd probably be for the better.
"No, I don't mind."
Shortly after that, James finds the kettle and gets some water boiling. Once its ready, he takes everything over to the bar, pours the water into the mug, and offers her a couple of tea bags. His wife was the tea drinker, so the tea was all pretty old... But, there were a few varieties to choose from. Hopefully it would still be okay.
He takes a long drink from his glass, the water refreshing him more than he'd expected. Apparently he'd gotten quite thirsty without realizing it. When she speaks again, James looks back towards her, er, Sofia it was. Nice to but a name to the face.
"Ah, right. Nice to meet you, Sofia. Feels kinda weird to say that to someone I've already invited into my home, but today has been a day of strange occurrences. So... What happens now?"
