Gwenyir Syllana BOT 07-Aug-22 07:42 PM
The past few days Gwenyir had noticed how the Enforcer's got antsy, they strange monsters neglecting their duties and getting in the way of the caretakers job. Today was such day. She had ran into a group of three just staring at wall earlier that morning, and another circling around a patch of dry grass. It was odd. Gwenyir was walking through large grassy pen where the Umbleflies where allowed out to play amongst themselves, refilling the large watering tub when* it happened. A massive bolt of vibrant blue electricity thundered in the sky, instantly striking the green grass about a few meters away from the pen. A strange ball of the electrical energy hummed with power as more bolts arced off it, tearing into the fabric of this realm. Gwenyir could only stand and watch in awe as the Enforcer's began to flock over to the orb of blue energy. A moment later.. the orb disappeared in a loud shockwave that sent the Enforcer's back a few feet. They didn't move after they landed, Gwenyir thinking the energy wave might have killed them. A crated remained where the lightning struck the earth. .Gwenyir slowly walked over to the crater and gasped as her golden eyes landed upon a human..

The fact they were even attempting something like this was incredibly stupid. Harris had never been the type to really go along with crazy or otherwise foolhardy plans. But when it seemed that they had no other choice but to evacuate every ideal and principle they had in the pursuit of survival, well, Harris couldn’t complain. That was the last thoughts that ran through Harris's mind as he entered in the manual override for such an incredibly risky operation that when the flash came and his senses were blinded, he could only be smug about how right he had become. Dead. I told you so, dammit. The pressing thought drifted in his mind before he found himself enshrouded in darkness. Blinded in a new sense. Slowly, however, he found himself gaining use of some senses. A twitch of his fingers, the sharp smell of something burnt, then the radiating shock that came as his senses were overloaded. An alien landscape before him with all the different aromas and textures that came with it. The most surprising thing however came with the eyes that greeted him. Poor him. The man in a singed and roughed up olive drab flight jacket. Whose wild eyes surely held the look of a bewildered spectator and not at all of that of a rational and sapient creature. “H-Hello?” And thus the first stone was skipped. A veritable test to see whether this was truly the afterlife or some cruel extension of a joke offered to him personally.

Gwenyir stood only a few feet away from the strange male, watching his chest rise and fall. She yelped and took a step backwards as his fingers twitched slightly. The woman instantly ducked behind the fence as he began to sit up, his strange eyes looking over the surrounding area. Her ears perked up as he spoke in a strange tongue, causing her to peek over the edge. She could only stare at the man in bewilderment, having found the reason why the Enforcer's had been acting strangely. Gwenyir crawled over the fencing and quietly walked over to him before crouching right next to him. She poked his side before mimicking his word, having always been a fast learner "Hello?" Her voice was gentle, smooth, yet felt un-real. Her silky voice was accompanied by another, louder strange echo of her voice. "Hello?" Gwenyir repeated, poking and proding at him a few more times

Ah. So this was a place where instead of agonizing torture it would’ve been death by a thousand cuts. Here a finger that he couldn’t wholly recognized poked at him and the greeting repeated over and over again. He felt his breathing become increasingly erratic, as if a thousand G's had been placed upon his chest and he was now struggling to maintain consciousness during a high-risk maneuver. Perhaps the only thing he could be thankful for was the fact he could regulate it strictly with the habitual training that settled his nerves. Well, they only settled it slightly. The man attempted to scoot backwards in the small crater, now fearing leaving his makeshift shelter and encountering who knows what out there. Away from the touch he gestured wildly towards the woman. “Where am I? What planet? Did the ship crash? Was this a lifeboat?” A million questions and one came flying just as fast he had flown.

Gwenyir yelped once more as the strange man began to make sudden and quick movements, causing her to flee from the crater. She sat at the edge as she continued to watch him. Her head tilted as he began to point at her. Gwenyir copied his movement and began to point at him, her eyes gleaming with interest "s..ship? Planet..Life.." Gwenyir mumbled to herself as she continued to point at the other before pointing at herself "Life.." She seemed to visibly struggled for a long moment before speaking once more "Gwenyir?" The woman said in almost perfect english, tilting her head once more. She then pointed to the other "Life..?" Gwenyir asked with a short nod Who... um..Life?" She continued to struggle despite picking up this rough language so quickly

When the repetition of words came like crashing waves, Harris realized he was out of his element. Though she seemed pleasant, he was now most definitively somewhere alien and unique. Wholly now subject to the elements and whatever good graces he could afford with his unexpected host. She offered out a name. Gwenyir and the pilot-turned-survivor gestured towards himself and gave a singular nod. “Harris. Hello Gwenyir.” The words were enunciated slowly and the more he spoke the more questions began to fill his mind. How did she know his language? Where was the ship? He mentally stemmed himself from going further before he cleared his throat. “Where am I?”

Gwenyir slowly slinked closer to the man, her gaze unmoving. When she finally reached him, her eyes began to wonder. She looked over his face, his shoulders and chest, down to his legs and feet. What strange clothing. She had often received clothing from the odd supplies that randomly appeared in the house yet nothing like this. Is this what humans wore. Humans were strange. She stifled a soft laugh before looking back at his face. He asked her a question but she couldn't answer. Gwenyir had no hint of whatever this place was either, only having gotten use to the strange realm of magic and monsters. "Where.." She then stood and looked around, nodding slowly to herself as she turned a complete 360 before crouching back down to him "Field." Gwenyir said plainly, completely serious "Where.. " She muttered again before standing and crawling out of the crater. Gwenyir whistled loudly, causing a few of the strange green beasts that roamed around 30 feet away to perk their heads up and look her. One even began to walk over as Gwenyir smiled.

He could feel her observing him. Analyzing him. Trying to collect every single detail and put it into a context that she could understand. Is this how other aliens felt about them? Was he now simply the primitive creature in a glass box to be prodded and regarded at with an almost fantastical query? Harris shook his head, patting his hands all over himself in an effort to check what he had and what he was missing. Beyond the matching olive drab combat pants and black leather military boots, there existed only a logo sewn into the chest of his jacket that held the insignia of a what appears to be a spaceship flying against a golden wreath. The words “Terran Defense Force, ALXII” sewn at the top and bottom respectively. “Shit.” He stared as he shook his head. No sidearm. No knife. Just the utilities and the accessories on his belt. Whatever use that would’ve been. Before anything else could happen he had attempted to digest her words before a creature unlike any that had been documented wandered over. He nearly yelled as he gestured. “Ah! Oh God! Don’t let it eat me!” The reaction of a truly hardened and professionally trained soldier.

Gwenyir turned around and giggled at the man before the creature crawled over the fence and bumped into the woman. She turned back around as she put a hand on its large head. She said something in a soft tone as she stroked the Umblefly's head, coursing a strange purr like sound to come from it. Gwenyir turned around slightly and nodded over to the man "Come..! Urm.. pet... friend." She managed to fully say after a long moment of thinking, reaching her free hand out to help him out of the hole

Did she call him her pet? The question came rushing in all at once as the man graciously moved to accept the hand and slowly climb out of the hole. His eyes slowly swept over the woman again and then the creature before the distant horizon really captured his attention. There was a slow swallow as he gestured towards the landscape. “… this is a strange place.” Suddenly his ship, the status of his crash, and the events that led to all of this seemed so trivial when taking in the alien landscape and unfamiliar concepts around him. He attempted to create some space between him and the creature before taking in a deep breath. “… alright. Is there a beacon or some kind of terminal to interact with? Talk to people?”

Both Gwenyir and the Umblefly watch the strange man with wide, curious eyes. Neither of them had seen another person before, so this was strange for everyone. She whispered a few words in her rough language, causing the Umblefly to go hopping back into the fenced area, before turning to the man. Beacon..? Terminal..? People? She was the only 'people' here. She had figured that out many years ago. "No... No people. Alone." Gwenyir said softly, though sadness filled her voice. Talking to another person was.. strange. Odd. She was used to talking to the mostly silent creatures of the realm, their behavior was comforting. But this man both made her uneasy yet filled her with questions and curiosity. He wasn't from here, like everything else, but he wasn't *brought here. That is what drived her curiosity push away her uneasy feeling*

HA:“You’re alone?” The man was flabbergasted at the word. Alone. Desolate. No-one here. He’d immediately began to pace as he shot back up, peering over the crater occasionally before he grunted. “Fuck!” It was the only thing he could give off before he moved out now towards the edge of the crater. Surely there were electronics or terminals or computers to work with? Something to… finagle with. He’d grunt before he looked over towards the woman. “… Home? Shelter? Somewhere nearby? I’d rather not be stuck out here.”
