Rin and Hana (originally Charlotte and Penelope), a pair of dolls from Wootton St. Lawrence, Hampshire, Britain made in the year 1896 by a man named Mr. Harwood for his children for Christmas that year.
They were made to be sentient, being that he had some otherworldly power that could bring them to life and this sentience would remain with the dolls as long as they existed.
Over the years, they had many owners around the world before finally ending up where they were now after a purchase from a collection in Japan.
