Princess? Amelia thought to herself, but otherwise decided it was probably just a joke. So she played it off and pretended like she didn’t care. “Yeah, of course I would be here. Why wouldn’t I?” She asked and sat down in the chair. They all had wheels on the bottom. There was quiet chatter among some of the crowd, but it quickly ceased once there was talk from the manager. For some extra cash to her checks, Amelia had begun modeling for the company over the last couple weeks. She was sort of insecure about it but at least it paid her well. Amelia’s cheeks flushed and she felt as if her heart and stomach dropped when the room went silent. All of the eyes were now on her. “I- Um, yeah. I do have some sketches. They’re in my office.” she stated, quietly but the high ceilings carried an echo.
The manager nods, so she continues to talk about it. Someone was whispering to the person sitting next to them and Amelia couldn’t help but feel embarrassed.
“So, um, like Jaylyn was saying, I think it’s a great idea to promote a new campaign that the base idea is women’s confidence and empowerment. We want her, the consumer, to feel good in her own skin. Think wireless, comfortable, softer fabrics and less harsh designs. Maybe even some loungewear. Maybe some neutrals. Sleek yet still sexy.” Amelia swallows. Hopefully this wasn’t a terrible idea. Most of the product sold was strappy, lace-covered and featured push-up designs in the bras. Bold colors and patterns like leopard, or flaming reds. Of course Amelia purchased from this line but it was time to think of something new for a change.
