Her eyes wandered aimless over the intensely interesting scene - so many and varied people, and even a few dragons to be seen! One rather large, brutish creature - a wingless Waggoner - was busily hauling a large cart filled with pottery. His great, blunt head and drab, earthy coloration immediately caught Beau's attention and she stared openly at it, tilting her head from side to side in readily apparent curiosity.
The Waggoner only gradually became aware that he was being watched, but the moment his beady black eyes fixed upon the brilliant plumage of the Midnight nearby, he began to wuffle and growl in agitation. Unaccustomed to interaction with others of her kind, Beau continued to stare openly - not realizing that the Waggoner took her open and fearless gaze as a taunt, if not an outright challenge. He bellowed long and low and began to turn his great body toward her, ignoring entirely the weight of his burden as though it were nothing at all. His handler immediately began to bark commands and tug at his leads but the beast would not answer - he seemed determined to engage the feathery menace even within the narrow confines of the busy market.
