Heavily inspired by The Hunger Games, 18+, centered around the victors and the rebellion. OC - Peregrine Forrester, District 7 Unfortunate as it was that both of 7’s tributes didn’t make it long after the initial count down, that left Peregrine with more time than he expected to move about the capital. He had already met with a few contacts while avoiding his tail during the training week but he had several more to go and a few follow up visits to make. He wound his way through the tribute center making small talk with with other victors who were either so confident in their remaining tributes that they didn’t bother to watch the game or had given up in this years selection and couldn’t bear to watch. The few others like him with no one left to look after had either hidden away on their floor waiting for the dreaded summons or are already making the most of the city. You can’t be summoned if they can’t find you, and that’s exactly what Peregrine wanted. All he had to do was lose the tail currently standing in the back corner pretending they don’t exist. It was a different person from yesterday but he couldn’t dwell too much on that, only hope that their punishment wasn’t too severe. As soon as Peregrine made steps toward the exit of the building he could see out of the corner of his eye his guard take interest so he found someone else to chat up. He was running out of people to bother when the moment came. A different guard, one assigned to District 12 if he wasn’t mistaken, came in looking scared and he possibly had a broken nose, went directly to the small group of guards in the corner asking quietly for a radio. If that grumpy old drunk can slip his guard so could Peregrine. While the guards were busy with the newcomer he slipped out the door and into a crowd following the flow of traffic towards city center. - I’m looking for either another victor or the guard. All pairings welcome

Ozious also had plenty of time to kill, because unlike when he fought in the games, his two tributes had next to no sponsors. and from how they scored, he had really low expectations. He would be surprised if they lasted till top fifteen. Standing in the tribute center, pretending to have hope when everyone knew there was none made Ozious sick to his stomach. Which is why, before too long into the games, he too decided to slip past his tail to explore the capitol. He was always intrigued by all the glitz and the glam and the fashion that the capitol birthed. He liked the idea of being able to work your way up in life and never have to worry again, that future generations would be taken care of, yet he never had that pleasure. Sure, he was able to take care of his father and three siblings and one niece, but that was with his winnings. He won that in blood, what sort of success was that? Either way, he needed a way to get away from his own tail. So, he too had to slip out. It was easier than he thought, as he had gotten used to hiding away in the fields of grain back in 9, and began to explore the city. Somehow, though, he ended up walking right into the district seven mentor, Peregrine Forrester. He had forgotten his name, of course, but he knew districts. Close enough, right? He was looking up at the buildings towering overhead and caught the other's shoulder on the walkway. He mutters a quick "Sorry" before he looked back down from the sky and sees the other's face. "You're Seven, right?" He really was bad with names, and he hoped he wasn't too rude, even though he had left the tribute building. That probably wasn't the nicest thing

Peregrine was was halfway to the redlight district of the capital when someone knocked into him. Not uncommon on the capital streets. It raised his preverbal hackles but he was ready to brush it off until he heard the other man speak and what he heard spooked him. Without thinking he pulled the other into a nearby ally before he actually got a good look at him, recognizing him as a fellow victor. One that won his game around a decade ago. He could also clearly see he wasn’t a kid anymore, not that anyone from the districts ever really where, but he’s lost some of his more youthful features. Peregrine paused to compose himself before he spoke. “I’m from seven, yeah. Peregrine. You know, some of these capital idiots are actually pretty smart. You don’t really want to go around shouting out district numbers, kid. It’s Ozious, right? You won one of the 80-something-th games? Most of them might not recognize us until our faces are plastered on some big screen but it’s better to not take any unnecessary risks, ok? Some of them are fanatics, probably have pictures framed in their homes.” The sad thing is Peregrine knew very well that some of the capital citizens are so bought into the propaganda that they actually do have frames pictures of their favorite victors, some hang them right next to their portraits of the president. Once he had recognized the other, Peregrine released his hold on him, brushing off his shoulders and helping the man look presentable again. @Lil Beanz
