ROLEPLAY HQ - forced-love

Hi so. I havent made a character yet, this is just a rough layout of my idea here. Please ask to DM me if you want to so this with a sample of your usual writing (: (Also if you have ideas or suggestions lmk) She was minding her own business, scrolling through TikTok on her phone as she laid on her couch. Her house was quiet, her cat was invading her space by laying on her chest. All was calm and seemingly fine. Until she had a knock on the door. What she didn't realize what was going to happen, is that someone she grew up with, formerly dated is now coming to her to ask for help. He wanted her to pretend to be his girlfriend again, to make is recent ex jealous. Would she agree, would this be a good idea? Would they end up developing feelings again?

It had been about a year since that breakup. It tore her apart, shattered her even. She had loved him dearly, and didn't imagine herself with anyone else. But life had other plans, and now a year later, she was a girl that had worked from home doing what she loved. Art! Paisley was always an art gifted girl, and many people in her life suppressed that in her. Telling her that she could never get a job out of it, to find something that would actually make her money. But he...he put faith and confidence in her to chase her dreams and now she was there. Making some money, enough to be able to stay home and relax. Currently, she waited for a piece to dry, laying on the couch and scrolling on her phone while her cat was on her chest. "Do you mind, Stix? I'm trying to watch this Tiktok..." Stix was a cat that they had actually gotten during their relationship, and it was the only thing that was a connection between them. She loved this cat though, and was happy enough to take care of him.

It had been about a year since that breakup. It tore him apart, broke him even. He did truly love her, but live has this funny way of making sure the right people are in the right place, but in the wrong time. A year later, he found himself, a hopeless romantic, finding himself getting crushed by girl after girl after the breakup by the one person he always considered, 'the one.' Bradley considered himself a 'gifted burnout' who failed to achieve what many had wanted him to achieve in life, he floated from job to job without much to do about it. He paid his bills, kept his life from the brink of disaster, but always felt like he was destined from something more and could never find out what that was or where he would event begin. He hated life at times, but he loved it immaculately at times as well, but he was always scheming for more. One of his latest schemes in life, required assistance though. As he rounded the corner on the familiar street he had walked up hundreds and hundreds of times before, he walked to a house he hadn't visited in over a year. He sighed loudly to himself, here goes nothing, as he knocked on the apartment door.

Paisley turned her head towards the door, then looked down at her cat. She rose an eyebrow. "Did you order Doordash? 'Cause I didn't." She chuckled faintly and sighed, calling out. "Coming!" She'd then lift Stix up and place him on the floor, standing up after. Paisley walked to the door to open it and...well. It wasn't Doordash. "Uh...hi. Lost, or?.."

As he opened the door, he was ecstatic to see her, seeing her beautiful light up the door way... he could immediately tell the same affection or excitement was not being reciprocated. "Uh, not lost," Bradley said as his moved to his strawberry blonde hair, pushing his hand through it as he smiled at her, "Hi, Paisley. It is nice to see you."

Paisley gulped a bit and looked up at him. She rubbed the back of her neck, meanwhile Stix was ecstatic! He jogged over to Bradley and rubbed up against his leg, of course this made Paisley crack a little. "Ah...it seems he missed you. Um..well, yeah. It's uh, nice to see you too.." She trailed off, stepping slightly inside. "Want to come in, sit? I feel like you're here for a reason so.."

Stix greeting him made his day more than anything else, he was so excited for him to come and rub his leg. He knelt down and picked up Stix around the belly, smiling at him while scratching his ear in that just that right spot. He always remembered. "Missed you too, Stix," he said as he walked in and let Stix go to run about his day, "Oh, you have redecorated. I like it." His comment felt like it fell on deaf ears as she said he was here for a reason, he sighed and looked at the ground. "Well, the main reason is to check on you and see how you are. I feel like I haven't talked to you in forever."

Paisley watched warmly as he gave Stix the familiar attention she used to witness. She let him enter and carefully shut the door behind him, nodding. "Yeah, just some random things I enjoyed in the house. It looks nice." Paisley shrugged it off casually. It had been...a while since they saw each other. It had been a few months, their mutual friend was throwing a party and Paisley thought it was a good idea to get out and meet new people. Little did she know that was going to end up as a reunion night with him, back here. They hadn't spoke since, really.. "To check on me? I mean...I'm fine...I'm...living. Erm, what about you, though? Things good on your end?"

"Could be better," he said with a smile, as he brushed his hand through his hair again, a nervous tick that he had always had, something he tried desperately to break, but never could, "Got a new job at the cell phone place across town, the one that just opened up." Bradley tried desperately to continue his small talk, but felt it fall flat. Not that she wasn't interested, but he felt like they were beyond that. He needed her help as a friend, so he went right out and asked, "So, question, would you consider me a friend?" He asked quizzically as he plopped down in the same spot on the couch that he normally did as Stix run up on the couch, jumping to the back of it and perching himself on Bradley's shoulder like parrot would a pirate. Stix always did this when he watched TV with Bradley.

Paisley gave a half smile but she folded her arms. She watched as he made his way to the couch, following after to sit in a chair nearby. "Well...I...erm...I guess? I wouldn't like...cast you away. Things have just been...awkward." She had to admit this, looking away from him and to the TV. What did he need? She'd look back over and furrow her eyebrows. "...Why? Did something happen?"

"Nothing severe happened, no..." Bradley said as he scratched Stix's ear, "I just need a friendly ear to bend and a possible partner in crime." Paisley would have heard this phrase a dozen times from him before. When he needed a 'partner in crime' usually he had a scheme in his mind that he needed to accomplished and just needed someone else's help to do it.

Paisley let out a sigh and rested her head in her hand, elbow on armrest. She knew exactly what that meant, and she was already roped in. "What is it? It better not be anytime extreme or crazy."

"Definitely nothing crazy," he said as he left out the extreme wording to avoid that, "But, I just got out of a relationship. I know you heard a little bit about it." He didn't know if she heard about it or even cared that he was in another relationship. He rested his arm on the side of the couch, putting his hand on his fist as he smiled up at her. "Well, she is friends with James, and James let me know that she is actually trying to find a guy to go with her to a party this weekend that we are both going to to make me jealous." Bradley sighed, "Here is my issue," he said through gritted teeth, "I want that plan to backfire on her, I want to blow it up in her face, I want to bring someone to the party that would make her equally as jealous."

Paisley listened to him talk and narrowed her eyes at him. Yes. She heard about the breakup, but those are never easy. She was confused why he was telling her all this. Then...then it made sense. He came by to ask if he could bring her to a party to make his ex jealous. "...Are you kidding me right now? Brad that's messed up.."

Bradley immediately threw his arms to the side and gave a wide mouth expression, "How is it messed up if she was going to do it to begin with?" He let his arms fall to his side, looking at her for a moment, waiting for a response or any kind of leaning one way or the other, "Come on," he said, "How am I the bad guy there? Its not like I am going to be clinging all over anyone like she will be. I just want someone to go to the party with me and have a good time and be seen beside of me. Someone has attractive and beautiful as you wouldn't hurt."

Paisley huffed, averting her gaze from him. It wouldn't hurt if she went out, it had been a while. Plus it wouldn't cause harm, hopefully... "Brad..." She sighed, reclining in the chair and staring at him directly. "If we go, don't fucking ditch me. I don't wanna go to a party with someone just to end up being alone, okay?"

Bradley smiled and jumped up, Stix scurried away as he stood, "Oh my god," Bradley said with a smile, jumping up with arms open like he was going to hug her, but stopping short, "You are amazing! As always!" Bradley could almost do a happy dance as he pulled out his phone and being to click away at it. Moments later, Paisley's phone would alert her with a notification. "I just sent you all the details. The address, the time, and stuff like that. Again, I can't thank you enough!"

Paisley rolled her eyes and checked her phone, then looking up at him. "It's fine, Brad. I'm serious though, don't just leave me or I will literally leave the party." She'd glance over him a bit, and she couldn't help but smile, even for a moment. He was happy. And she was glad she made him happy, even for that moment. "So that's it? Just go to the party, hm?"

Bradley was so wrapped up in her actually saying yes that he failed to even say anything else in the moment, "Uh, I mean," he said with a shy smile creeping, "Unless you wanted to maybe like see a movie or something?" That felt as awkward coming out as anything Bradley had ever said in his life and his immediate grimace followed.

She laughed and shook her head some, his awkwardness was coming off as almost adorable to her. But no...she couldn't let this happen. She didn't want to risk that heartbreak again. "No, Brad I was...I was just kidding. The party is fine, it's to help you so. If that's all that's fine, okay?" She confirmed, standing up and stretching above herself before folding her arms. "Need anything else?"

Bradley couldn't help but feel disappointment in her answer in the moment, but he didn't verbalize or show it, just shaking his head, "Nope, that's it." As he began to walk to the door, turning the knob, he looked back and asked, "Should I pick you up or do you wanna meet there? I promise I won't leave you, so you can ride with me if you would like."

She watched him start to leave and it made her briefly remember the time he did so when they split. It hurt. It sucked. But she didn't let that show now. Paisley looked to him and nodded. "..Fine. I'll ride with you, pick me up then. Eh, please. I'll be ready." Paisley nodded once more, already trying to figure out what to wear in her head.

Bradley nodded in agreement and walked through the door shutting it closed behind him. He smiled as he looked up and did a little bit of a fist pump. Not for the fact that he was gonna show that evil ex of his, but that he got our time with her again. Bradley walked down the street, putting headphones in his ears as he walked back to his home that was not too far away.

When the time came around for the party to be had that day, Paisley was getting ready and having a drink as pre-game before going. She made sure she looked her best, wearing a fun crop top with a skin tight mini skirt, and some heels. She curled her hair just enough for some wave, and applied some light makeup. When she was ready, she grabbed her mini backpack and packed it with essentials, before shooting him a text. Ready when you are.

Bradley wore his best shirt and best blue jeans to this party, he had to look his best. Styling his hair and getting his best black rimmed glasses, he smiled as he pulled on a brand new pair of sneakers that he bought for just this occasion. Pulling his car out of his garage for the first time in forever, it roared to life as he got a message on his phone. Paisley said she was ready when he was, and he definitely was, replying back: Moving in that direction, will be there shortly. As Bradley began to drive to the apartment, he stopped short at a small gas station that was a couple of minutes from her apartment. Walking in, he grabbed a six pack of Smirnoff and Labatt before walking to the counter of the gas station. As he placed his alcohol on the counter, he looked down and seen the Runts candy display showing on the bottom rack in front of the register, it was Paisley's favorite candy. He smiled grabbing two cases of Runts and placing them on the counter as well. Walking back to the car, he placed the alcohol in the backseat and the Runts in the front seat for Paisley to see.

Paisley received his text and sat down on the couch, scrolling through random things as she waited. Stix hopped up on her lap, and she reached down to pet him. "Hey there pretty boy. Mom's going out for a change, so behave, okay? No using up the toilet paper." Stix always had a bad habit of...harmlessly destroying things when he was bored. He had so many toys, even a cat tower and yet...he was chaotic good.

Bradley pulled up to the apartment, parking in front of it as he jumped out of the car and walked up to the door. As he knocked on the door, he could hear a little bit of bustle before the door opened. "Holy shit," Bradley exclaimed before he could stop himself, "You look incredible..." He smiled at the girl in front of him, "Umm, should we go?"

Paisley went to the door after the knock, opening it. It was him, and he...was surprised, maybe? She smiled weakly and nodded. "Ah, yeah. Thank you." She ran a hand through her hair and grabbed her keys to her home before she walked out and shut the door. "Yeah, let's head on out!"

As she didn't react to his reaction of her appearance, he frowned for a second as she passed him. He walked over to the car, letting her get in at her own leisure. As she opens the door, she would find the Runts sitting in her seat. "Just a thank you for coming with me," he said with a smile, "I got Labatt too." He turned the key on the car, it purring back to life as he shifted it into car and began towards the party itself.

Paisley smiled faintly at the surprises though, once she got in the car. He remembered still.. She got in comfortably and placed the Runts in her lap, looking to him as he mentioned the Labatt. "Wow...two for two. I'm...surprised you remembered, Brad..." Paisley looked at him, smiling almost...sadly.

"Never can forget," he says with a smile as he takes the turns through the streets of the city, "Especially when it makes you smile." That sounded cheesier than he wanted it too coming out, but he felt like he got the point across. He continues to navigate through the streets, making several turns. Very familiar turns as they are making their way to James' house, the house where their last encounter had encountered, but now the place where they were going as mutuals to try and make an ex of Brad's jealous... Life is strange sometimes.

Paisley couldn't help but let out a soft giggle, shaking her head. It was cheesy, really cheesy. But she admired the fact that he went out of his way to do this, something that hadn't been done for her in quite a while. When they approached the house Paisley let out an exhale, trying to not remember the last time they were here. An...awkward memory, not like it was a bad one. She'd glance to the back at the beers and ten Brad. "Well, you ready to have a fun night?"

"More than willing," Bradley jumped out of the car as he walked around the side of the car, he grabbed the two six packs of alcohol and walked to meet Paisley as they began to the house. The house wasn't a large one, but a typically family sized home for the area. A fenced in backyard is where most of the party was contained. Luckily, James did not have many neighbors and the ones that he did have were friendly enough that they were invited to the party themselves. As he rang the doorbell, James answered, "Yo! What's up, B-Man!? Oh, and the lovely Paisley! Is this a thing again!?" He said with a smile. Bradley looked over at Paisley for a moment and smiled, "You can say that," he winked, walking into the house as they were motioned in, "The party is just getting going, eh?" Around the room, several friendly faces popped out to the two of them, but nothing more than a smattering of people around the living room. "Yeah, you all are a little earlier than the rest," James said as he walked into the living room with them, "But, more are on the way. Make yourself at home and find a place to crash. Gonna be a fun night."

Paisley carefully got out and held her Runts box close to herself, walking with him up to the door. She could feel the nerves bundle up, and she did her best to mentally shake them off. That was...until James brought up the two of them. Right...the plan... They had to not only convince his ex, but others too. Paisley would smile faintly and nodded in agreement, walking inside and waving faintly to some. Some people waved back to her, familiar faces indeed. At least they were a little early, it won't be as awkward whenever his ex arrives. "A fun night? Sounds like you have things planned, James. Almost...mischievous sounding."

James smiled the devious smile that he would normally smile, "I may or may not have a couple of dancers coming and beer kegs on the way." James is pulled away by someone else who needed his attention, so he says good bye to the two of them and walks away. Bradley motions for them to go outside for the moment. The mid summer night was warm and outside was an okay area to stick around in. The backyard of the house was mostly larger than the actual house, containing a pool on the outside as well as a grassy area for lounging. At the end of the yard, there is a love seat like bench that sits in a circle. "There look good?"

Paisley shook her head in a knowing way, she had figured he was up to something. "Sounds like it'll be fun indeed." Paisley walked with him outside, enjoying the warm weather as he led them around. She reminisced in the days that they spent here partying as a couple, enjoying their time... She blinked as he spoke, it caught her attention. "Ahh, yeah! Yeah it looks great."

Bradley walked over to the bench, it was a nice oak colored bench with a backing and just enough room for two people on it. Bradley sat and patted the seat beside him offering it up to her, he smiled. Placing the beers down in front of them, he grabbed one of the Smirnoff and pulled out a bottle opener on his keys, popping the top off of it and placing it beside him, doing the same with a Labatt, offering it to Paisley. "This should be a good time once everyone shows up."

Paisley sat down and reminded herself to just relax and at the very least, make sure she has fun. She smiled back to him and took one of her beers after it being opened. "I hope so. I'm...still a bit nervous about, you know." She spoke quietly, hoping to not raise any suspicion if anyone were to overhear.

"It'll be fine," he reassured, but he didn't know if he was trying to reassure her or himself, "Everything will be a okay." Bradley took a long drink from the Smirnoff bottle, feeling the rush of the alcohol made him feel a little easier, but he was going to have to have a lot more than this to relax his nerves over this situation. He didn't really think this idea through, does Paisley even wanna be here or is she just doing this for him? Is she even going to act like she is having fun? He quickly shook the idea from his mind as he looked over at here, "So, it has been a while since we talked, how are things?"

Paisley took a drink of her beer and smiled faintly. She knew he was trying to strike up a conversation, and well...she couldn't blame him. "Well...I decided to be a full time stay at home artist. I've been creating commissions and going to small art shows. It's been great in that aspect. But...other things, well...other stuff hasn't been so great this past year." Paisley shrugged it off though. She never was comfortable talking about bad things. Even if it came to their relationship and something was wrong, she usually wanted to push it aside. That was something he helped her work on, but...

Bradley listened as she kinda trailed off at the end of the sentence. He did remember that she was definitely not a fan of talking about the bad stuff, so he really didn't push the idea. He finished off the first bottle of Smirnoff and placed it back in the six pack in the empty place and grabbed another one. As they sat, making small talk, the rest of the party began to build around them. "So, did you find someone else?" Bradley kinda blurted, keeping the conversation to a low between the two so he would not alert anyone around them.

Paisley nodded and chatted with him, finishing up her own drink and placing it in it's former spot. She had to admit she was at least enjoying being out, it was nice. When he asked the question almost suddenly, she gulped and looked at him. She had to come to the reality that no, she didn't. She wasn't...ready. "Uh, no. I didn't.."

Bradley must have felt the alcohol taking the nerve and edge off of his questioning as, without missing a beat, Bradley asked, "Why? You are a catch..." He hated that he had to hype her up, because he would rather her be his catch in that moment. Bradley again shook the thought away. It tore him apart when they broke up. He didn't know if he could do that again.

Paisley laughed faintly, shrugging it off with a shake of her head. "Noooo, no I'm uh, I'm not...Just, I guess since I didn't really like, look for anyone I hunkered down on my job." Paisley shrugged again, sipping a new beer once popped open. It was true, she spent a lot of time after their breakup perfecting her style in art, and selling art. It was all she ever wanted to do.

Bradley knew she was okay alone, however, Bradley need someone in his life. Romance and romantic activities were a way of life for him. A self proclaimed hopeless romantic. He felt that if he didn't have someone to obsess over and have in his life, that life might not be worth living. Luckily, in the past couple of months since their breakup, he has kind of fell out of that hole, but it was still a major character flaw that he would openly admit. "You know how I am," Bradley said with a smile, "I just don't want to feel alone in this world. I am too needy and can't be alone." He admitted this very sadly. He finished off the second bottle of Smirnoff, placing it like he had the previous one and cracking another one open, he had made his mind up, he was getting shitfaced.

She chucked under her breath, sighing. She knew. And well, their relationship was the best one she ever had. He was such a great man to have in her life, it was hard when they split. Her coping mechanism during that time was terrible too. She drank her day away, laying in bed and sobbing as she watched Netflix. Even when he texted to check on her, she never admitted her pain. She would just say she's okay. Even now. Paisley sat and nursed her second bottle, not wanting to get terribly drunk too quick. She was concerned for him though, he drove them there. "Easy now, or we're gonna have to spend the night here. You're not driving if you get drunk."

"Uber," Bradley muttered for a moment, as he smiled back at her. He watched as the group of people began to form in the back yard around the pool, some even beginning to sit on the edge of the pool, dipping there toes in the water. Bradley feeling the alcohol in the moment decided to quote something that Paisley liked, laughing, he said, "Looking, they are piggy dipping." Bradley looked across the crowd and his stomach sank for a moment as he finally seen here. Jeanie, the ex that he wanted to make jealous, walking through the back sliding door, with a man that was unknown to him. Darker complexion, 6 foot 4, muscles for days... He was definitely better looking than Bradley and he knew it.

She laughed and sighed, shaking her head. Paisley watched as more and more people came in, and she found herself getting rather comfortable sitting next to Brad again. It was a comfort that she found she missed. When he brought up the piggy dipping she couldn't help but giggle. "The piggies are getting a bath." She'd comment, sipping her beer once more. Maybe this won't be so bad after all. As some time went by she noticed that Bradley's mood changed. Her eyebrows furrowed as her gaze shifted to him, and then where he was looking. "What's wrong?.."

"She's here," is all Bradley can muster out before turning out the drink, silently pointing her out with his eyes, "Just walked in." Bradley could feel a rush of embarrassment pouring over him, this was a stupid idea, he should have just never came to this party, he thinks as he watches the couple greet a few others. He grabs the bottle and downs it again.

Paisley knew this was time for her to step up some. He was crushed still, that she could see. Well...as much as this was likely going to hurt her later...it could help him now. She scooted closer and took his hand in hers, if he allowed it. That familiar feeling, their fingers intertwining. Paisley even went as far as resting her head on his shoulder, and acted like everything was normal. But deep down, this was...hard. It took everything in her to not need to take him back, to hug him...and kiss him. She missed him, it was undeniable. But she couldn't admit that.

Bradley was shocked for a moment, but allowed her hand to surround his and the fingers to interlock. He smiled, he forgot how soft, small, and precious her hands were to him. He looked down, struck for a moment with a shock, but turning his eyes to meet her head falling to his shoulder, he laid his head across hers. He smiled, this felt nice. His thumb ran across the top of her hand. He smiled in the moment. "Not gonna lie," he shyly admitted, "I have missed this."

Paisley could feel her heart jumping as he accepted this. Her smile softened, and somehow she found herself snuggling up against him. The alcohol slowly started to take over her senses, and she allowed it. When she got tipsy and even drunk, she was more honest and open than anyone else could be. She hated that, but tonight she was willing to allow it. Paisley closed her eyes and sighed softly. "I did too."

Bradley had been so locked into this moment with Paisley that he didn't even notice that Jeanie and her new boo had approached them. He looked up and met eyes with her, "Hello, Bradley," she said with a snotty sound in her voice, "I am surpirsed to see you here, but you look like you are doing well." He smiled as he looked up at her, "Hey, Jeanie," and he looked back at Paisley, "Yeah, doing good, hope you are as well, who is your friend there?" "My boyfriend?" She seemed to correct him with a smile, "This is Antonio, we met a couple of days ago, it has been a whirlwind."

Paisley smiled up at the two, she knew she had to kill this girl with kindness. Even for Brad's sake. "Awh, cute. Brad and I go back a bit, and we rekindled recently. We've been so good since." She smiled, leaning over and giving Brad a small kiss on the cheek. "You two look great too though, I wish you guys the best!" Paisley clearly didn't mean this, Brad would be able to tell. She had the tiniest giveaway when she was lying, and well...Brad learned it. Her nose would twitch in the slightest on the left.

Bradley felt a rush of adrenaline and fluster come across his face, a rush of red poured over his face when she kissed him on the cheek. God, he had missed that so much, he thought as he squeezed her hand as a thank you and for reassurance. He watched as she spoke to Jeanie, smiling as she told her to go away in a nice way, and seeing the slight twitch in her nose, he knew she was lying and he loved her for that. He watched as the two said their goodbyes, but walked away to an area of the grass where both parties were clearly visible to each other. "Your nose twitched," Bradley said with a giggle as he smirked at Paisley, "Thank you for that, she had me speechless for a second. Thank you for the kiss as well... It was nice, makes me remember good times."

Paisley groaned under her breath and huffed. "I can already tell she's a terrible person. Ugh. But no problem. Yeah...it...yeah." She admitted softly, cuddling closer to him. She reminisced their relationship as they sat there in silence for a few moments. As the party went on...it was clear that Jeanie was really...really trying hard to make Bradley either notice them or make him jealous. Once Paisley picked up on this, she was another bottle in, the pack she had half gone, and well...that's all she ever needed before she started becoming reckless. Paisley looked up at him in her tipsy state and turned his head to face her with her hand. "Do...you want to..."

He smiled as she cuddled in closer to him, even taking his hand from her and moving it over her shoulder and just pulling her in even closer, meeting her hand again with free hand. He smiled over at her as they sat there in silence for a few moments, Bradley was enjoying the moment. Throughout the night, Jeanie continued to get closer to Antonio, kissing him, rubbing his chest, and continuing to push herself into him, almost sitting on his lap. They made it apparent they wanted them to see. As Paisley spoke to him, almost lackadaisical and unknowning, Bradley said, "Wanna what?" Before he realized what she was wanting, he smiled at her, "I think I would like that very much." Allowing her to make the move.

Paisley giggled faintly as he accepted her offer. They didn't even need to go to third base, if it happened it happened. She just.. missed him. She would sit up a little bit and lean over, pressing her lips against his if he allowed it. It was a feeling that Paisley really missed having, and she hoped he did too. Allowing their kiss to deepen and evolve if he wanted as well, while the party continued around them.

Bradley allowed her to kiss him, he smiled as their lips connected. He missed this so much, the deepened connection of the two of them. He pushed the pace slightly, allowing his mouth to open and their lips to interlock even more. It wasn't before long that he felt his tongue begin to tease her lips, looking to enter her mouth. Bradley didn't even notice the world around them in that moment. He missed this, he missed her.
