Aside from the size of the college the other thing that surprised me was how nice this place was. I mean seriously 30ft banners outside a reception hall? What kind of school was this. I walk through the doors of the registration office and get to the front handing my form to the receptionist before she goes to the back. Probably to retrieve my new schedule or something. "Man this place really is too big isn't it?" Even though I say that under my breath I kind of hope someone heard me. Just standing here was pretty akward.

"Tell me about it." I sigh as I stand behind you in line. "I'll have to set off an hour before my class to get there on time." I joke. I smiled at you warmly. "Hi, I'm Elsie."

Finally someone who could crack a joke. Plus she seemed pretty nice. "Seriously though got to double book my running schedule just to make it on time. I'm Terry nice to meet you."

"So, what's your major?" I ask, coming around to lean on the reception desk. "Anything interesting?" I look around for the woman with your keys.

"Probably Bioscience, my old man always wanted a doctor for a son and at least it's a good choice regardless. How about you what are you majoring in? Gotta be something more exciting then mine."

I wrinkled my nose and played with the edges of my paper. "I'm uh... I'm studying English. Creative writing" I shrug as I look up at you. "Yours is much more exciting."

Woah, pretty, funny and nice. Intelligent too, why did I always have to meet the ones out of my league? "No creative writing is pretty awesome honestly, I never really got the hang of it when I was in high school. That's cool though that you are good enough to want to keep doing it."

"I didn't say I was good." I laughed and smiled shyly. Why were you giving me this much attention? "My dad said I had to go to college... so here I am."

"Fair enough. I guess that is a good reason to go. Wonder where that receptionist went off too?" Really man? Couldn't even ask her if she wanted to hang out?

After a couple more minutes the girl from before comes back with a form, a set of keys and I school ID and hands them to me and the Elsie girl. "Building 1255 wonder how far that is from here? I gotta carry all this crap too... Where did you end up getting?"

I looked at the piece of paper too. "...Building 1255" i grinned up at you. "At least we'll be close!" I grab my suitcase and pull it along, my holdall barely holding on to the strap.

Well semester wasn't looking too bad. Might be able to make a couple good friend here, guess I am on a good start already. I grab my bag and sling it over my shoulder before picking up my spare gym bag and following after her. "True, mind if I head up there with you, with how big this campus is I prefer to not get lost."

"You think I know my way?" I laughed, "we'll get lost together. Come on." I lead us away and towards the way the signs told us to go. By the time we reached the building and dragged our bags to the elevator, we realised we were on the same floor too. Then as we headed towards our rooms, I said, "I wonder who my roommate will be..." I said as I turned to my door.

Taking out the key I swear I blacked out for a moment, but when I looked at the key the number was right there. Room 221 the same room she was in. "Uhh it looks like I am? We sure this place isn't coed or something?"

"I thought it wasn't..." I murmured before scratching my head awkwardly. I'd never lived with a boy before. "Maybe they made a mistake."

"They probably did honestly. For now I'll put down my stuff. Think you can deal one night? We can fix this tomorrow after the welcoming ceremony cause right now I am beat." I stay outside just in case, after all if she doesn't want to share a room I should probably sort this out tonight so neither of us gets in trouble tomorrow

"Sure... no worries. We'll sort it out tomorrow." I nodded and put down my own bags, unlocking the door. I peak in before pulling my bags to one of the beds.

I let a breath out on move towards the other bed. Surprisingly they are pretty comfortable. After I put my stuff away I pull out my phone. They said ordering food to campus was allowed and as long as you were of age alcohols wasn't a problem either. "Wonder what serves good pizza and bourbon around here..."

I lifted my head from where I was rummaging through my bags and I grinned. "I knew I liked you. Pepperoni and mushroom with extra cheese, please."

A laugh built up. If she was easy going then one night couldn't be that bad right? Not to mention he tacked on the cheezy bread. Tonight would be great. "Gotcha, what to drink, I'm getting a bottle so better be something you like!."

"Anything with alcohol in it." I winked, then took out some comfy clothes. "You order? I'll just get something comfy on." I disappeared in to the bathroom and grinned with a saw the bath. Perfect!

Pressing delivery on the app it responds with a 20 minute arrival time. I should probably at least change while she was in the bathroom. After all it was pretty hot out today and after a run plus the hike across campus left me feeling pretty crappy. Grabbing my night shorts and a fresh shirt I move over to the corner of the room and start changing. "Yo! Pizza is gonna be here in 20, I'm changing so I can go grab it when it gets here!"
