Today was not the greatest day for John Gillman. Dropping the hard truths about Vought-American Consolidated and subsequently 'going rogue' went well at least, his fans loved him for it at least, and from what he could gather in his time on the run, more than a few talking heads agreed with him that VAC would have no work if it wasn't for government work. In any case, it still wasn't the best situation to be chased by your former employer. The one form of solace he had was that he finally had the chance to make a 'proper' secret identity, as he walked about the street in plainclothes.

Cole Harrington touched his chest, which slightly hurt. He had a burn mark. A brand of a traitor. He had a double capital m on his chest. He wasn't human. He knew that much. He was a Nibiruan. An evil race from the Andromeda Galaxy that conquers planets. He was supposed to conquer Earth, but he refused. He was branded as a result, so he could never wear skin tight shirts. He was tugging at the shirt he was wearing while talking to himself. "Can't my shirt touch that. It'll be hard to explain."

John managed to hear the voice and took an interest, starting to follow him from a distance, using his less visible powers to help with this. Man it was good to be able to see through folk and fine tune his hearing.

Cole didn't notice this, because he was rather busy looking at the sky, hoping not to see any alien space craft that would cause him trouble. "I hope they stopped with just me," he whispered, as he didn't want anyone else to fall victim to the harsh experiment that he went through just to be born. "God, why do I have to go through this alone?" He asked to no one in particular.

John decided to make himself known, coming close to Cole before saying to him in slightly low register. "I'm on the run myself." He says, not really knowing how else to speak up. Being raised in a lab and nearly groomed into a corpo-rat didn't teach one much about being social.

Cole turned around and was surprised by John making himself known. "Oh, sorry. Didn't see you there." Cole looked John up and down, and determined that he wasn't part of the Empire. "Sorry. Kinda paranoid." He said while looking at his chest.

"I understand. I've had to be paranoid myself. Speaking of." John looked around suspiciously and listened out. "You're not from VAC, are you?" His eyes glow a bright blue for the slightest moment.

Cole tilted his head in confusion. "In all honesty, I've only heard of them. I do not know who they are." He said while putting his hands up.

This seemed to put the man at ease, seeming to know that Cole was not lying to him. "Good, good. That makes things a lot easier. They're who I'm hiding from and also, I do hate people trying to lie to me."

Cole sighed in relief. "I'm actually hiding because I was branded a traitor by my people." He said this while tapping a part of his chest that wasn't branded.

"So that's what that scar is from." He says, indicating he saw it despite the shirt having never been taken off. "I let a few hard truths loose about VAC, and with their being a defense contractor, you can guess how they took it." Despite the situation, John seems almost lackadaisical about the goings on. "Still though, I can take on anything they throw at me."

"Well, I'm up against people that conquer planets from the inside. They're from the Andromeda Galaxy. They tried expanding to the Milky Way through me. When I refused, they branded me a traitor to the cause. So now, I'm the only thing between them and the planet." He explained.

He looks wide-eyed at that explanation, especially at the fact that his cohort was not lying to him. "Well, at least we know we aren't alone in the universe. Conquest though, correct me if I'm wrong but, that tends to sound bad."

Cole nodded his head. "Yeah, but what sucks is that they're lawless, take no prisoners, and execute anyone that fails them. It's an empire ruled by strength and they have the power to easily destroy planets. The only way I've ever beaten them is outsmarting them." He said while looking at the sky.

"Okay, that is bad. A bit stronger than I'd like." John listens out again, trying to make sure they aren't being watched.

Cole felt a chill go down his spine and the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. He immediately knew who it was and that he had to act fast.

John starts to feel it as well, and looks ready to doff his plainclothes, the small parting of the shirt revealing part of a royal blue costume underneath. "Were we followed?"

Cole got in a stance, started to glow a little bit, and saw the slight outline of the ship. "I dunno if you were, but I certainly was." Cole flashed in multiple colors, leaving his left arm in pure electric purple, his torso in crimson fire red, his right arm in dirt brown, his legs in a little light gray, and his head in ocean blue, and center on his chest was a black 'MM'.

John then changed out of his plainclothes in what looked like an instant and fully revealed his identity, in the royal blue uniform adorned with pauldrons that looked like golden eagles and a red and white striped cape, he was unmistakable in his identity as what was once the face of VAC's incursions in to hero profiteering, The Homelander. "Looks like we're in for a fight." He smiles in a fashion one could almost call evil. "Good, I love a nice fight."

As Cole, now transformed into Multi-Manus, got a closer look, he noticed that the ship was much bigger than he anticipated. "This thing has to be the size of the Titanic. They're preparing for an entire city swipe." He focused his strength and punched into the side of the ship. He put a noticeable dent in the side of it, and the craft went closer to the atmosphere, but still underneath the clouds.

The Homelander jumps into action, closing some vertical distance between himself and the ship before trying his usual first tactic. He gazes hard at the ship before the blue glow in his eyes comes back and suddenly emits a laser-like beam directly toward the ship.

Multi-Manus gets under the ship underneath then touches it with his left arm. "Ride the lightning!" Lightning cracks the clear blue skyline and strikes the ship, causing it to explode. Multi-Manus uses his wind powers to make the remains of the ship stay in place and not fall.

Homelander flies about the wreckage, looking for stragglers while also lasering more of it apart.

Multi-Manus looked at the space craft while talking to himself. "The ships are getting bigger and bigger each time. Don't destroy everything! I need to investigate something!"

"If they're getting bigger, we need to make them smaller." The Homelander says in an angry tone as he starts flying about through the wreckage.

"There's some things that I need to salvage from these ships." Multi-Manus said this while flying around and keeping parts in the air. "There it is." Multi-Manus that specific part of the ship. "That's the main computer, I need that. I have a feeling they plan to invade. I need to hack into it." Multi-Manus put the rest of the pieces together to destroy. "Alright, have at it."

And have at it he does, flying about and through the wreckage, tearing it with both superhuman strength and the ever powerful eye beams. The blue glow of the heat beams very distinct even against the regular sky.

Multi-Manus grabbed the main computer and flew off with it. "It's a good thing the computers don't require electricity to work." He flew to a scrap yard and put the computer down. On the walls of the main office of the scrap yard were the English alphabet and a different one that was obviously not from this planet, with the only similar letter being 'M'.

Homelander flies about the wreckage, looking for stragglers while also lasering more of it apart.

Multi-Manus flies back to Homelander. "I never actually thought I would meet someone so strong." He comments. Both of them were similar in ways neither yet understood.

"Thank you." He said in a self-congratulatory tone, clearly liking the spotlight. "But what was that lightning? Never seen a Super-Human do that." Indeed, he didn't think Compound V could induce that in its supers.

"That's the thing. I'm not actually human." He said. "What I am is complicated. I'm still trying to figure it out, but I think I have a semi-solid understanding of it." Multi-Manus said this while scratching his head.

"So you're an alien? That explains where the powers come from at least." Homelander looks over the wreckage for a time. "What is that thing here?" Before he can ruminate on it, he hears the shutter of a camera and looks in that dorection before flying over, allowing some gathering onlookers to take pictures of him.

Multi-Manus flew down as well to see that Homelander was allowing people to take pictures of him. "Would make sense that you would take the spot light. Not many know about me." He said this before gently flying up and then flying back to the scrap yard to put together what he has translated and see if he has pulled anymore information.

Multi-Manus glowed and turned back into his human and looked at his notes. "They're getting ready for an invasion. I need to get to training and pushing past my current limits..." He said this while looking at a suit of armor he has recently been working on. "I need to get this thing completed if I want to go all out on them." He walked out of the main office and looked at a rather large scrap pile. He walked over to it and entered a small hole that he could barely get through. "This ship should have the ability to travel back to Nibiru. I need to sample the atmosphere and see if people humans can survive in it." He said while looking at all of the gauges and sensors.

He crawls out of the ship and covers up the hole. "If I take the fight to them, I will need to learn how to fight." He said to himself. "But first, I need to go to sleep." He got into a shower and took one. As he was drying off, he got into his pajamas and set an alarm that was set to a time and for it to go off should another Nibiruan space craft enter the atmosphere. "Time for bed." He says to himself. He got into bed and went to sleep.

When the alarm went off, Cole got up and looked at the time. "8 AM. Just the time I set my alarm for." Cole went to the local McDonald's and got a sausage egg McMuffin and a large hot chocolate. He got his food and drink and walked out ate it on the way to the gym. He finished everything when he got to the gym and immediately went to the treadmill and went to 5 miles per hour as a warm up. "Abilities are proportionate gotta make sure I'm much stronger." He said as he turned it up to 8 miles per hour and steadily increased the speed.

she enters the gym in her civilian gym clothing and starts to go on the treadmill next to multi-manus put it on a 7 miles speed slowly increasing speed not even breaking a sweat. "Good morning" she says in a cheerily mood to multi-manus.

Cole was focused on training, but he managed to hear her. "Morning." He said this while increasing the speed and incline. He was at a 15⁰ incline at 10 miles per hour and wasn't breaking a single sweat. The truth is, Cole had yet to start trying.

Kara kept running making the treadmill go faster still not sweating, the treadmill is now at 9 mph and still going up.

Cole lowered the incline of the treadmill but kicked the speed to the max and gunned it.

He started running backwards on the treadmill for a while but then looked forward to continue running.

Cole got off the treadmill and sat down and saw the news, which obviously was covering yesterday's incident, which identified Homelander, but not himself. 'So that was his name.' Cole thought to himself.

finish the treadmill, not breaking a sweat looks at the news "Homelander is a credit hog i seen him being helped by someone" she takes a sip of water.

"Eh, credit hog or not, what matters is that he gets the job done with minimal damage to the surrounding area. At least, that's what I believe." He said.

On the news, the anchors don't actually get any chance to interview the Homelander, with only a few cell phone videos to function for that purpose. "From what I can see, we aren't alone in the universe at least." Confirming for the recording person that whatever it was they were fighting were aliens.

Cole just crossed his arms, knowing that it was Nibiruans. "Always knew that the government was hiding something. Now the internet is going to be lighting up about this." Cole said this while getting up and walking out of the gym.

kara hears sirens and rushes out the gyms and quickly goes to the emergency as super girl she sees someone familiar.

Cole quickly hid behind a building and in an alley way and transferred to Multi-Manus, and flew over to the scene surprisingly faster than Supergirl and looks around to see that his worst fear was realized. A few invaders slipped by him. "Dammit." He flew down in pursuit. "You're fighting me, assholes!" The other Nibiruans looked at him and then at his chest. "No, you will be fighting him." That's when Multi-Manus's evil clone stepped forward. It looked exactly like him, down to the eyes. The others flew off while Multi-Manus fought the clone by sending an uppercut to the chin and then tackling him into the atmosphere.

Multi-Manus and his clone crash landed and the two got up and looked at each other. "What the hell are you?" "You failed your race, so they replaced you. Your existence is no longer required. Time for you to perish."

Multi-Manus got up and delivered a planet packed uppercut to the clone's chin, sending him flying. Multi-Manus flew after the clone and delivered a barrage of punches, but the clone was learning from the original. When the clone saw an opening, it did not waste the opportunity to deliver a devastating blow to the spine of Multi-Manus. Because Multi-Manus was not expecting it, he felt even more pain. He crashed into the Earth again, but the clone was made to return to the other Nibiruans. That's when Multi-Manus changed back into Cole, but it was involuntary.

gets in front of multi and helps him up "You ok?" She asks sincerely "sorry i didn't help much"

Cole gets up and dusts himself off. "I don't know how they made a clone of me. Or how they made him so strong. I need to get my battle suit ready. They plan a big invasion soon." Cole glowed and turned into Multi-Manus. "If I don't stop them, they will have invaded another galaxy, and that's one thing I don't want to happen." He said this and then flew off to the scrap yard that he was using as his home base.

she flys and follows him and lands behind him "let me help you" she says confidently. "We cant let anyone control Earth or the galaxy"

"Did you not see how powerful those guys are?" He says while not looking at her. "They can easily destroy planets. I'm the only one able to keep up with them. I need to learn how to fight, or else I'll be in real trouble." He said while turning to face her. "So unless you can teach me, I'm the only chance this planet has."

"ill teach you then" she says gladly "all you need to tell me about your powers a bit" she smiles

Multi-Manus powered up. "I don't even know the full extent of my powers. I have super strength, speed, flight, fire and water generation and manipulation, and I can manipulate lightning." He said this while showing off some of his abilities.

"great i can help you with most of those like super strength and speed and flight and i think i can help with the lighting thing and maybe the fire thing" she smiles

"Yeah, but everyone else we're going to be facing has those powers as well. So if you teach me anything, they might learn it as well." He says this while scratching his head. "I honestly think that I will have to unlock my powers myself. But the fighting, I will definitely need to be taught how to do." He said while floating upwards.

Elsewhere in the city can be seen Homelander, now back in plain clothes in his identity as John Gillman, looking to be attempting to lay low after the newsworthy events most likely got VAC back on his trail.

Multi-Manus can be seen flying over the sky, practicing to fly faster and faster. He easily breaks the sound barrier, but he knows he has to reach light speed. "I need to get better than I am right now. If I don't, I can't protect the world."

Multi-Manus flew undetected and turned back into Cole, where he got into John's sight and locked eyes with him.

John nodded, acknowledging that Cole had found him and accordingly goes somewhere more out of the way, under the assumption that Cole wanted to speak to him.

"Thanks for the help dealing with that ship." Cole said. "Those things have been getting bigger and bigger, and they made a successful clone of me. They I have a little base at a scrap yard nearby. I can show you what I've gathered, because if my hunch is correct, the VAC may be the least of your concerns." He said this as he motioned to the scrap yard.

John nodded again, knowing the words to be the truth. "I can see that, considering what I saw out of you, Vought-American Consolidated is going to be on the back foot a while if that clone does show up." He looks around a while before asking. "Know an inconspicuous way to get there? As much as I like talking to my fans, seeing my colors fly toward your base might be the last thing you need."

"In all honesty, walking there would be safest bet. Some other people hang out there, but they haven't discovered what I've been working on." Cole explained while he started walking. "Even if they did, they would just chalk it up to someone being crazy." He said this while making sure no one else was following.

Homelander turned out to be of at least some assistance in evading following, turned out being able to see through objects (as long as they aren't made of zinc) had its perks. As they continue their journey to the hideout, he does have to ask. "So, do any government or corporate types know about these aliens yet? This is a pretty difficult thing to hide."

"That's the hard part of decrypting all this. I don't have any files or anything to cross reference the activities. But at least I know I'm not alone in this fight. That reminds me. I never got your name." Cole said this while looking over his shoulder.

"You know me as the Homelander. Right now, I've been calling myself John Gillman. Somehow that's been enough to keep Vought off my back." John states with some bewilderment. "I don't know how."

"Well, John, sometimes all you need to do is have faith. I guess it's worked for you, but not so much for me. I'm Cole, and who knows? Maybe the Vought might change after their secrets have been revealed. God, I can only wish that's how things worked." Cole said this as he put some papers to the side and ran some more info into the deciphering machine. "I've been making battle armor for the case of an invasion, but I'm definitely going to be needing to upgrade it after the beating I took earlier. I've been salvaging some parts of Nibiruan space craft and made one that fictions almost perfectly, but I need it to get to Andromeda Galaxy, sample the atmosphere, and then come back."

"An... interesting prospect. The whole reason I've been on the run from Vought-American Consolidated... Well, I'll just say I hate lying to people, and decided to tell some hard truths about the company." John looks over the machinery, he was smart, sure, but this was far outside his expertise. "So Cole, what kind of operation do you run around here?"

Cole sighed. "I'm just trying to figure out how to topple an empire that conquers planets. Knowledge about them is my most valuable tool. If I can figure out some kind of weakness they have, I can definitely use that to my advantage. They outnumber me several quintillion to 1. But... everytime I train to get stronger, they seem to have some kind of power up each time. It's like they're getting powered up by an outer source. If I can cut them off from it, then I can definitely have more leverage in the fight."

John nodded with wide eyes. "Okay, that's quite a number to need to fight." He thinks a bit himself. "Does that power up happen specifically when you get stronger or does it apply to just anyone?"

"I specifically get stronger through training, but they don't exercise. But...one thing that I noticed is that they reference this 'Erkha' person. I don't know who that is, but it's definitely related to the increase in their power." He said this while highlighting a piece of paper.

"Well, I know VAC and some of their competitors like to hide things. I could go and try and find out if they know anything about that. I don't think I've heard anything about an 'Erkha' though. Not something that other Supers seem to know about."

"It's definitely not related to the VAC. It says they agreed to serve her in exchange for resources to expand their empire. But heard that some files were declassified on aliens. If the government is hiding something, then I need to know about it." Cole printed out some more papes that had the Nibiruan alphabet and the English equivalent and hands one to John. "This is a big risk we're both taking here. You're blowing your cover and I might light up the internet with this information." Cole put his in his pocket.

He takes the paper with a smile and a lackadaisical attitude returning. "It shouldn't be too much, people love me." He places the paper in a pocket and getting his underlaid costume ready. "As far as the fans are concerned, I'm the Homelander, and I can do whatever I want."

Cole smiled. "I feel that as long as I don't break the law or violate the Geneva Convention, I can do as I please."

Cole glowed slightly and turned into Multi-Manus and flew off to Washington, DC to get his questions answered. When he asked to see the space craft, he saw that the UFOs were from the Nibiruan Empire. He noticed that there was a power source coming from each craft. "They're not planning to invade... They already have been." Multi-Manus flew off at Mach 10 to alert Homelander. "Shit! This is much worse than I anticipated."

Homelander was spending the time being looking what little info he could scrape around on the few pieces he could understand.

Multi-Manus was flying at hypersonic speeds, understanding that he has to let Homelander know about the situation. When he arrived at Homelander's location, be landed without causing collateral damage. "Homelander! It's much worse than I expected."

Homepander immediately took serious stance as he looled to Multi-Manus. "That tone can only mean two things. So, which is it, invasion or infiltration?"

"I just looked at some UFOs, and they all had the same design and markings as the ones I've fought before. They've been trying to do both. They've tried invading, but the craft were always shot down. They tried infiltrating through me, but that failed. I think they're going to go on a full scale invasion now." Multi-Manus said this while looking very worried.

Homelander nodded, taking in the situation. "Okay, that definitely isn't good. Do we have a plan? Beyond fighting that is?"

"I haven't thought about that. I do have some other people that I can think of, but I'm not quite sure if they'll help out. Although there is one person that I'm almost certain is willing to help."

"I know the other Supers will be fighting the invasion as well, people have to defend themselves after all. Any help we can get will be good."
