Her eyes never left him. He was her newest toy, the newest point of interest in her world that was usually boring and quiet. She didn’t hate her home, but something new.. she was like a crow with something shiny. Even when the human undressed, her eyes remained to watch him. More marks were on his skin and again she found herself wondering where he had gotten them from.
A few times he would peer towards her and she would duck down into the shadows, hiding herself from his view. She wondered if he had seen her and the way he kept peeking her way might have told her he had. When his door opened she ducked herself away. She watched him place the bowls down, but she didn’t come near till he headed inside once more.
She then came forward slowly, looking at the two ceramic bowls. An offering? Why would the human leave an offering? The small grave as of no real worth, most likely having belonged to a pet of someone who used to live here before him. Yet she felt like the bowls had been set out for her. She ate from the chicken, one small piece at first, but then a few more. She at till the bowl was nearing empty before she stopped. The water bowl she brought to her lips and drank slowly too. Even if she did not need food or water to survive, it was the energy behind them that she fed on.
It only made her more curious of the human that had now occupied the house. She waited for him to fall asleep and only once she was convinced sleep had found him did materialized herself inside of his room. She walked towards him slowly, skittish, ready to bolt. She was like animal, curious but afraid of what it might find. She watched his sleeping face, her head tilted to the side.
