The setting:
You have found yourself in a surrealist world called The Zone World. It’s a universe on a 5x5 grid, each zone within it being an entire new world that can take hundreds of years to fully cross. The zone you have crossed into is a zone where angels and demons have evolved to have a predator/prey relationship called The Ironic Zone.
They are the only known species within this world, with demons being the prey and angels the being predators. Angels and demons take many different forms, with each variant ranging from humanoid to abstract, often times you will find those who are a combination of both abstract and humanoid.
Angels are typically highly aggressive and powerful, while demons are the more timid species. There exists a ruler — a species called a Monarch, but the identity of which is unknown to those who inhabit the world. Demons are born naturally, while Angels are born from monolithic structures called Angel Factories. What happens within them remains a mystery, as not even the angels themselves know.
The plot premise:
However you found yourself here (using a magical multi dimensional item, finding a bizarre portal, etc) lead you to encounter a hybrid variant angel—an incredibly dangerous and rare entity. He calls himself Zero of None, and he proposes a bizarre, seemingly impossible idea; to reach the center of the world: 0,0. A place of blindingly bright light, where Zero believes holds the answer to why angels seem artificially created, how Zero exists as a hybrid, and perhaps how the entire world was formed to begin with. Nothing is known about 0,0 other than the rumor from the few that know about it:
Something is sleeping within 0,0. And its only a matter of time before it awakens.
You will need to find a way to cross the vast zones while trying to figure out each’s laws in order to survive. Entering zones further from 0,0 may hold useful information, or may lead to an untimely death if not careful. The Zone World is a ruthless, surreal fantasy hellscape full of deities confined to their cages. Whatever fate you succumb to will be recorded within the soul of what lies within the center of the world.
