It's been only over a decade since the grand revolution happened in Unova. The change that Team Plasma called "Pokemon Renaissance". Since Team Plasma's first birth, they have been an utter effective organization that bent the Unova to their own will and of course to their own glorious goal to make Unova reach it's deserved fate. A region of peace and solitude. A region where Pokemon and humans are truly equals and not just slaves to humans. No being deserved that fate. No human, no pokemon, nothing. The only way to live in harmony and peace, only way to end the Pokemon cruelty lied on removing "trainership". Which eventually did happen of course. On paper, there was no trainers left and no Pokemon used for the sake of human deeds. Unova was indeed a better place on surface. Unemployment was over the roof before Plasma. Who needed humans to carry goods when a Sawk, Throh or a Conkeldurr can do it. Who needs any plane, ship when flying, water pokemon can do that for free?

Who needs psychological support when you have Audino? Noone would talk about their nightmares when they're eaten by Musharna. Noone would use disobeying, raise asking waiters, cashiers when pokemon like Gothitelle, Lilligant do it for free. Pokemon, truly had a monopoly over everything on the region. Since for basic jobs Pokemon were used instead of humans, companies were firing more and more humans. Replacing them with almost free workers. Which resulted in an elitism on getting in the most basic jobs. No person could dream to find any simple job without a master's degree on their profession even with it, it was hard to find. Colleges exploited this situation with unnecessarily high college fees. Banks exploited it with insane debt percentages. Pokemon and humans living together as trainer and master resulted in a chaos for Unovans. Most Unovans thank Arceus those days are gone well behind. They think Team Plasma are their saviour but little they know: Ghetsis, the leader of Team Plasma was the mastermind to put all of this in action. Making Unova fall into deeper in the chaos since it really was in the chaos even before Plasma. Then rise as the saviours of the region. It has been few years after what happened in the Distortion World. The dimension of death and anti-matter. The place where nothing makes sense and nothing is alive. Cynthia was traumatised for years after encountering Giratina and had to take therapy treatment for years to come. The devil was still inside that ball that has M on it. At least that was what she thought. She never could risk carrying that ball with her, for the sake of her life and everyone else's. After long years the theraphy worked and she was feeling much better. She wasn't feeling the feeling of mortality and fragile all the time. Her nightmares of the devil and the Distortion World has finally came to an end.

Not that she was cured fully... she just learnt to live with it. Now that her mind was in her head again, she had a score to settle. With the help of her close friend Lance, she managed to get a position in Internation Police. IP has assigned her to Unova case just like she wanted, though with a little twist: She was going to have a partner on the job. She was informed that her partner would meet her in tonight's dinner. She hoped it wouldn't be another dude who will try to get flirty with her, being lesbian on this job was really hard as she heard. Also there has been countless times where men tried to get her to love them for her position in society as champion but as a lesbian, it never worked. She awaited her partner in the meeting restaurant while sipping her wine.
