This was no exception to a party thrown by the Goodwin's. In fact, their next soirée was the current talk of the town and rumo...

It was an upbeat tune, one that made her heart feel some relief from the earlier display. She had needed this, needed to figuratively let her hair down and let loose. That was what this party had been for, sure it was a time when her husband could socialize and make work connections, for them to keep up the appearances to dispel the whispers in which had currently been circling the gossip train but in truth this party had been for her. Evelyn was grinning ear to ear as Vivian led her around the dance floor, arms and hips swinging to and fro as they spun about. As the song had begun to fade and the musicians took a moment to change their sheet music Evelyn heard that all too familiar voice asking if he could cut in. Vivian gave her a knowing look before she moved to preoccupy Thomas and Evelyn could have kissed Viv for it. She held out a hand, offering it to Nathaniel as the next song began to play. "No need to barge, I'll come willingly." Evelyn smiled bashfully and inched closer, as close as she could get away with without causing gossip to stir. After a minute the awkwardness between them seemed to pass and Evelyn found herself starring at the man who had left her waiting, the one who she'd have given everything up for. Why had he left her? And why had he appeared before her now when her life was so miserable? Biting her red colored lip she stared into his eyes before speaking loud enough for him to hear over the music, but quiet enough that no other person around would know what they were speaking of. "Life treating you well, then?" She asked, her eyes trailing down his body and back up again before she did a spin.
