The morning fog covers the wast fields of wheat as every farmer slowly wakes up and begins their work day. The occasional soldier is seen around instructing everyone to keep their guard up as a fearsome dragon is residing in nearby hill. A lone soldier walks around and sheeting his silver sword inspects the area before walking straight into the forest of damned.
Many people had warned the knight about going to that forest, as none had returned alive from there. People have vanished many times and even many brave warriors before him had gone to see what is the reason for so many deaths before. Yet none of them could come back alive to tell the tale.
Yenisei knew all of this far too well, therefore he came prepared. He was a knight of his time, brave, strong and cautious. But he too had something else. If he were to vanish in the forest, this would be a sign that even the Yenisei couldn't come back from the forest, which would mark the end for all adventures. It's like some kind of sacrifice that he has made so others can survive.
Scouts have been reporting many sights in the forest, made from a good distance, that they couldn't be in the mercy of whatever lies deep inside of the woods. Some reported dark spirits roaming around the trees, while others talked about some mysterious knights walking around. One moment you see the tall figures, the next, they all seem to have vanished. People around the forest feel terrified by the sigh, and some had even proposed that the woods are to be burned down.
While these thoughts seemed reasonable, some voices of true reason said that if the forest is burned down, the spirts might feel threatened and unleash their furry upon the rest of us.... Not much of voice of reason, but as even the church claim, how will you explain to a man, that the houses might too be burned down if you set forest ablaze. It's best to tell them that the spirits will come.
