Raven NIghtingale BOT 27-Aug-22 10:46 PM
The morning sun shone brightly through the only window in the small room, causing the woman to stir as it coaxed her from her slumber. Her eyes flickers as she groaned, sitting upright in her wooden cot. Raven Nightingale quickly stood up and began to undress, swapping her light fabrics out for a set of thicker leather and hardened steel armor. She quickly grabbed the scabbard that rested against the sturdy wall, checked the sharp silver blade, and snapped it closed. *With her clothes situated and weapon, Raven then left the small room provided to her for her job. Being a guard to the princess of this kingdom, you'd think the living quarters would be slightly better than it is. It didn't matter, the solider was used to small living spaces. Her heavy boots stomped against the wooden floors and solid dirt as she made her way to the castle. Once she made it to the regal steps, the woman sighed deeply. She had been doing this for over a week and it never got any less boring. She quickly entered the massive building and made her way to the princesses room, the clank of her armor and the stomp of her boots echoing in the halls..

Sundari Karnaki BOT 28-Aug-22 09:02 AM
Sundari Karnaki was practicing kaleri, the fighting style that had weapons and swords, sticks and even pieces of wood. She was a princess who had clearly been able to protect herself. There had been news that a Lady Knight from another kingdom was coming over. Sundari did not care and neither did she seem to understand why a knight from another kingdom would be needed. Sundari wanted to see if this knight was capable in being in her royal guard. Well, in all honesty, she was sure she would win some matches with the reputed tall Nightingale of Swords and Death. Even if the name was impressive, well, she would like to scrutinise skills. There was nothing more beautiful to her, when she studied the meaning of words, and even see the names of other people. Well, to see their names have meanings and sounded like them. She was practicing with a whip like sword and a normal Talwar ( a type of scimitar blade) in one of her private gardens. One of her ladies in waiting had been telling her they had spotted the female knight around the palace but she made no advances too great someone who made her think others found her incompetent. Sundari did not budge much and carried on with her training. If the knight wanted, she could find her out on her own. Sundari started smiling and thinking if the knight, Raven Nightingale, would do anything to find out where she had been? Well, it would surely be a sight welcomed to see and she would ponder of the craftiness and the intelligence of this knight. She used the shield as a way to slash out some vines. Near her was a lake with carp and koi, her gardens always had interconnected fountains that made even made ponds that were the size of small lakes and did connect with an actual non-human made lake outside the palace called Kohl. The lake Kohl joined with the river Kohl, which was a the tributary for one of the mighty rivers in this land, Gita Akash. As she practiced, and danced with blades, the construction of this semi-walle

Though, also, to make sure none of the nobility, their attendants and the overall royalty, get surprised from the back. Raven managed to quickly find and approach the doors to the private quarters of Sundari Karnaki, giving them a simple knock. It was clear the princess was not in the room after a few moments, causing Raven to frown and turn around. Where would the princess be, she asked herself. She was told the woman had a steely spirit so Raven had decided to look for a garden or training ground of some sort. Thus she began her walk around the castle. It only took around half an hour for the steel clad solider to find the large garden, the sound of running water and slashing metal filling her ears. She quickly entered the place of beauty, unable to help herself as her cold grey eyes began to look over the tall plants and clear water. It was quiet beautiful, more so than many many places she had ever seen. After a short moment, Raven approached the princesses training area, stopping to observe the other for a short moment. Her moves her sharp and precise, powerful yet restrained. After a few minutes, Raven cleared her throat loudly before crossing her arms across her chest.

"Be quiet, Knight." The reflective mirrors had shown Sundari of the Knight's approach, and being a bit of a cold person with uninvited guests, she was giving her a voice fit for her power as a princess. "Can you not see I am training? What do you want?" She said this without stopping any of her movements. She did not wish to stop her practice just because The So-Called The Raven Nightingale had arrived. Sundari had to admit, she was impressed The Lady Knight had been able to find her personal garden within the labyrinth of other gardens. Well, surely, the Knight had some skill. She hated the paucity of talents in warriors and here she saw none of it. Raven had been able to deliver some of her namesake. With her piercing eyes and talons, as the bird of prey she had been named after, she swooped in. And, like the Raven, she was able to show a cleverness and craft-fulness that had always made the species of birds venerated in many cultures. @Katelyn "Ducky" Snowfall
