Lark narrowed his eyes, the stark contrast the the light colored irises against his dark as night skin was staggering to many, the stern features and prominent jaw clenched tight as he dodged the swipe of the other man's blade. There was something different about this one, though Lark could not pin point what exactly made this human so different from the others as they battled it out on the field.
He could read movements well, and while Lark could move with rapid speed the human male wasn't that far behind and it perplexed the vampire to no end. When the blade came at his chin he narrowly dodged it, hit teeth grinding against each other in frustration. "I've been around." He smirked revealing his fangs, the two men circling each other, both waiting for the other to strike next.
He couldn't prolong this much longer, his mistress had already been waiting long enough and if it dragged on any longer she would come herself. He needed to be competent, he could not fail her this time. Eyes narrowed as he readied his sword. "If I grant you your question, would you accompany me willingly?" It was a thought, though Lark doubted it would be that easy to lure the human.
