I stalked the top of the trees, standing on top of my make shift wooden stack with a map in hand that only showed trees with slightly different looks, but i was able to read it. I looked around. My ears perked up as I heard a russle from a bush over 100 Meters away, turning around seeing two birds fly away with a cwak... where's the third? I knew three lived in that tree and they hardly left since i feed them. My heart stopped as I swung my wooden bow around my torso and slid down the wooden structure, rushing through thorns and bushes to get to the area of disturbance. there stood a massive 8 foot tall hunched over werewolf with a bleeding bird in it's claw. I readied a stone tipped arrow as it noticed me, hitting it in the arm as it dropped the bird as it crawled across the mucky floor. The werewolf stared me down as I ran, the werewolf running on all 4s, it's mouth salivating at the smell of a half elf. It manged to bite my arm when i was heading around a corner, bleeding heavily Almost there... after a minute chase, just as the werewolf was about to get another attack it was covered in mossy vines with rocks attached to rocks, pinning it to the floor from a trap that came from on top of the trees. The werewolf never gave up, trying to force itself up as i wrapped a leaf around my bite mark, watching it struggle as it's strength was sapped by it's own efforts, it eventually collapsing from exustion. I removed the trap and used vines to track him across the floor. It was a relentless track of effort, stopping along the way to visit the bird nest, lifting the injured bird up to it's nest
"Hold in there buddy... you'll be okay... it'll heal"
