hey y'all, i'm sorry that ive been dragging my feet on this!

@Thomas Maxwell check out #deleted-channel #tip-locations and #deleted-channel to see what the universe consists of so far, then put together a character and post it

i'm gonna try and get one or two more people interested and then hopefully this weekend we can talk about a potential initial story arc in here, and then get to roleplaying

@taterthots i know you said you were thinking about other settings but this is technically your creation so i'd LOOOOVE if you joined us ❤️

also i'd like to follow a similar format as jungles of renlore, which is that people who are in the same scene take turns doing roleplay. so if you have A, B in one place and C,D,E in another, A and B take turns and C,D,E take turns but AB arent dependent on CDE posting

If she's in a prison for the Chosen I could also see her coming to some agreement with the guards to get opioids to keep the visions away. Hmmm

Because if its the later she could bend time to observe the lightening, then expand space time in the path of the ligthening to cause it to arc to one side. If she is just pulling everything down more that is different

I'd say the limitations I placed on her powers myself we wouldn't have to worry about the mirages or doubling too much

She can affect localized space time, or focus on up to 3 specific objects

She can increase gravitation effects or decrease them.

She could potentially bend space time in her localized area to deflect lightning and other projectiles.

Okie so at least temporarily I'd like to break off from the main plot line that's already happening! After some prequel interactions between Keyran's scientist character and Shenk, the jailbreak happens and instead of going with the others, Shenk decides to go off in another direction into the wastelands or province.. where presumably he is followed by Keyran's character and meets Naka's character and possibly Host's character if she so chooses to be part of that plot line! Pinging @Nakachu#1396 for when she wakes up so we can discuss what she wants to do to get in and also @Host#0010 !

so just to summarize what's happening: • reyna broke out reid, claire, and shenk - they are currently in a cave • shenk is planning to break off from the group and, in theory, find naka who is wandering the wasteland • mina is a hunter who is, in theory, wandering the wasteland - @Host its up to you if you'd like to meet up with naka & shenk, or reyna/reid/claire, or you can engage in a completely separate storyline if you'd like • i'm about to write a prequel for dr. graves, after which point i am going to go searching for shenk because he is my very special experiment • we haven't yet seen The General, but I'd assume the general and Dr. Graves are going to have some amount of interaction (edited)

I know that sometimes group roleplay can lead to situations where part of a group has more time to post than another part, but lets try and keep a post order so that everyone can contribute equally to the story! Posted a reply last night. Seems like the way the story is evolving it's me and @taterthots looking for shenk, @Badger has separated from the group and is looking for @Nakachu, and @Dr. Doooooooooooooom is with @Thomas Maxwell and @DH0123 I guess my question is, what do we want the story arc to look like here? I feel like we should have a goal we're driving towards. I also mentioned the other provinces yesterday, I feel like tater did such a good job doing world building and we should take advantage of it by exploring the different settings

The doctors are definitely chasing shenk. Caddel is definitely secretly working for the gifted. How do the escapees fit into the greater storyline?

I kinda see Shenk as being a lynchpin in the whole story, he's obviously special and maybe we build a story based around his disease spreading to others

Sure, the exploring provinces part will happen with Reynas main goal of getting all the gifted she can back to the wasteland where they’ll hopefully be left alone to train, but to get there they have to pass several of the provinces

At the moment, Claire and Dr. Reid are escapees from the prison, and both gifted. I think Dr Reid (@Thomas Maxwell) doesn't realize he has powers, or is still coming to terms with it or something? Also, there's @taterthots' character, Dr. Caddel - she is secretly gifted but is hiding it and helping me look for the the gifted that escaped

I think those 4 are all the active characters at the moment

Got it, I agree with the detective, and sure I’ll be them.

A medical examiner/ Q like person might be a good role for @DH0123 because forensics takes time. So it would matter much about the replies.

Not necessarily a villain, as it could be a cult, or something like that. But someone who acts as an ear on the street. Like you pass them a five and they all of a sudden remembered something.

I think a big business tycoon could be fun, someone who wants this buried, because it makes their business look bad. But then they start getting the feeling This whole thing is about them, when it’s not.

I’m trying to think of parts that everyone can have that don’t really depend on someone else there… How about a journalist? Or someone who pokes around and gets in danger on purpose. You know the guy in the movie who acts like the tough guy but when the actual danger happens it’s all of a sudden the main characters problem.

How is the infection spread? Saliva/ bodily fluids? Or are they not infectious at all and someone had to push a button/ inject someone to get them to “change” like making mindless minions?

@taterthots can probably explain it better than i can but basically the idea that you were born in a province and you had to get a transfer if you wanted to go to a different one

and all the provinces had their own specializations (see #tip-locations )
