Azreil O'Brien BOT 10/13/2024 8:32 AM
'It's time you took the family business seriously Azreil, you are no longer a child, you are a grown man. It's time you start acting like it. Starting today you will be running the company as the new acting CEO. Do not disappoint me boy, you are an O'Brien not a sap. Those were the last words Azreil had heard from his father. The night before his first day of being the CEO, he had passed away from an opposing Gang, trying to give his family a lesson. Azreil was 19, the youngest CEO in the history of O'Brien Insurance company. He learned the do's and don'ts as he went along, but he also picked up another title while working, in those few short years he gained the title 'Mad Dog' because he fought his way to the top, and fought for the respect he deserved. Not only had he inherited the family company, but yet also inherited the family 'business'. When you hear family Business, you'd assume it was associated with the insurance company, well you'd be wrong. In fact it wasn't known that the O'Brien family owned the company at all, see Azria lived in Cleveland. Where his family was number one for another reason, that reason wasn't because they sold affordable insurance. No, the family O'Brien was the bosses of Cleveland, the biggest and longest standing Mafia in the history of Cleveland. You'd think such a famous family would be caught by now, with owning a huge company, but surprisingly, they were good at covering their tracks...until now. Azreil needed help, and he needed help fast. He has been running both businesses for nearly 6 years now, and it was starting to take a toll on him, his employees were beginning to tip toe while he was in the office, and his henchmen began to feel the pressure of his anger, on more than one occasion. So he decided to set out and look for an assistant, one who could help him carry the load of the work he was doing there at the Insurance company, or at least help him keep an actual schedule. Going home from the office at midnight

, to go and lead as 'Mad Dog' the mafia boss until five in the morning, only to be Azreil again just a few hours later, was beginning to take a big toll on him physically, mentally, and emotionally. 'Now, Mister O'Brien is a very busy man, so you'll have to make sure you can keep up with his schedule.' One of the employees told Julia , as they walked down the hall towards the main office. 'we mustn't keep him waiting, if anything goes off schedule..well you may not appreciate the words he will call you.' He whispered as they approached the office door. "And I told you, if I get another call from Miss Jenkins again, you would be terminated from the position, wouldn't you?" A voice shouted from behind the door, the employee standing by flinching. "I TOLD THAT WILL BE THE LAST TIME JOHNATHAN!" The shout had gotten louder, forced out with so much anger it would give anyone goose bumps. Soon the door flew open, and standing there in the flesh was Azreil O'Brien. A tall ginger man, a perfectly trimmed beard, tattoos visible on his neck and hands. The man was not what anyone expected when they thought of a CEO of the company, but not only that he looked furious, his eyes were basically on fire as he glared. A barely twenty year old ran out of the office in tears. Azreil turned towards the two standing in front of him, ignoring the kid as he growled "what do you two want, i am busy and i do not have time to deal with any dumb and silly questions. So if you wish not to anger me, I suggest you give me a good reason, as to why you have come to my office." The man standing next to Julia gave a small shaky smile, trying not to show fear to his boss 'Ah! Mr O'Brien, this is Julia, your newest assistant. They are supposed to be here today, you personally told me to retrieve them and bring them to your office this morning.'+
8:33 AM
Azreil narrowed his eyes looking Julia up and down as he hummed softly, he didn't say anything, just pointed to the desk in front of the door. "There's Your desk, try not to ask me too many questions, imma tell you this now. I don't have the answers you're looking for. Frederick there is the man on the floor, if I have appointments page me, and if you ask for me by name you let them in ." He said in a gruff voice , crossing his arms as he carefully raised an eyebrow. "Fredrick, take them on a tour, and cancel my meetings before lunch. I need to take Miss Jenkins out for lunch, as a personal apology, on the behalf of the company. God knows the damage the kid did ." He sighed walking back into the office slamming his door shut. Azreil O'Brien needed help, but was this the kind of help he was expecting? @Owen

Julia Dupont BOT 10/13/2024 10:30 AM
France, 2 years ago A young girl, just barely 18, was preparing her bags. Her father had landed his dream job as a book writer in Cleveland, USA. Due to this opportunity, Julia, the girl in question, had always dreamed of seeing the USA because of its major possibilities for such an ambitious girl. She had a passion for Psychology after seeing the many American movies that portrayed psychologists as geniuses. She was excited to start this new life, get into a decent college, and hopefully make a career out of it. With their tickets, luggage ready, and enthusiasm in hand, Julia and her father departed for the land of the rich, USA. Upon arrival, an agent for her father's publisher rented them a small apartment, in which the two would take a few weeks to settle in. With that in mind, the young girl Julia was not familiar with the culture, the way people expressed themselves, and so on. She was rather reluctant to talk to people or open up. One night, due to boredom, and the delay of her registration at the local college, she felt bored, too bored to stay at home. Seeing a bunch of people her age, she peeked her head through the window, she had luscious blonde hair and beautiful blue eyes. Upon seeing them jest to her to come down and have a chat, she obliged. She grabbed her switcher, and sneakers and told her father, who was writing in the other room. ''Papa, je vais me promener. Je reviendrai plus tard. Ne t'inquiète pas, je ne m'éloignerai pas loin'' Dad, I'm going for a walk. I will be back later. Don't worry I won't stray far her father nodded without really listening to Julia and continued working on his book. -

They went to the local park, not far from the apartment building Julia lived in. In there she and her newly introduced friends played basketball, joked, and talked, feeling a little hungry, Julia asked a boy named John with her heavy French accent. ''I am hungry, where can we get something to eat around here?'' to which the boy replied. ''There should be a Chinese place not too far from here. Tell you what, come with me and we'll buy something for everyone. You guys stay here.'' Five minutes late John and Julia found themselves in front of the Chinese place, ordering takeout for everyone, however, something wasn't quite right. The street they wandered, was quiet...too quiet. Suddenly a car pulled up and 3 men in suits walked out of it, before calling John's name. ''There you are you little shit. Don't try to run, we have the street covered, just tell us where your buddy 'The snake'' is and we will let you off easily.'' Julia saw John's face fill with panic, he trembled while they waited for their food. She was nervous herself, new country, new culture, and now it seemed like she got herself in trouble. The 3 men in suits grabbed John in front of her and began beating his ass, they were ruthless. ''Tell us where the snake is, you little shit!'' They kept shouting while John refused to talk, they kept beating, over, and over, and over again, before finally stopping. The boy bruised, bloody, and covered in footprints, coughed up some blood. They gave him a good beating, before threatening him the following. -

''You have two days to find the snake, refuse, and we will personally gun you down in your home. Got it!'' Ironically, they didn't touch a single hair from Julia's head, but, she too was too scared to speak, or do anything, she simply watched, frozen in terror as they assaulted her new friend. From that day onwards, she never went out at night out of fear, her father forbade her. Present day Julia was a 20-year-old. 2 years have passed since her new life in Cleveland, Julia Dupont. Now a part-time waitress, doing odd jobs to support herself, due to her father's refusal to pay further for her college education in Psychology. With her debt piling up, she had no choice but to take on more jobs. However, she had learned a lot from her classes and now had a latent for reading people's emotions. She knew how to behave in front of people, be it higher-ups, or clients. Alas, money was a huge problem. She needed 30,000 dollars to continue her education, something she didn't have. One day, she stumbled upon a job offering online, The O'Brien company was looking for young people to take on the job of secretary. She fit the description quite well, she was tall and pretty. So she applied the night after she went home, she no longer lived with her father, for he was increasingly needy and treated her like his maid, rather than like his daughter. -
10:31 AM
Julia rented a place near the college campus. Early the next morning, someone day already replied to her email, letting her know if she wanted the position, it was hers, as long as she showed up before 9 am. Without hesitation, Julia took a shower, did her hair, applied some subtle makeup, and put on heels, a dark office skirt, a white blouse, and a tie. As well as some lipstick, it wasn't much, but she wanted to look presentable in front of her employer. She took a taxi to her location, and when she arrived, she gazed at the marvelous building that was the O'Brien's. Wow, it seemed like she was in for a good paycheck. So, she walked into the building, looking confident, yet a little nervous inside, and checked in at the front desk. With her heavy French accent, she announced. ''Good morning, I have a meeting with Frederick, about a new job position.'' The woman at the front, was a snobby woman with glasses and a bit of chub, chewing gum. She asked. ''What is your name?'' ''Uhh, Julia Dupont.'' ''Aha'' replied the woman at the front desk. ''34th floor, Frederick will be waiting for you, there of you.'' She handed Julia a key card. With a nervous step, she took the elevator and clicked the number of the floor she was supposed to go. Once there, right off the bat, she felt the tense energy. Everyone was looking very stressed, and mentally tired. Due to her intensive study of psychology, she understood why. She studied their expressions carefully, that until she was greeted by Frederick, who explained the job she would be doing, and who her main boss would be. -
10:32 AM
Then she met Azriel O'Brien. Quite the fiery hot head, in Julia's opinion. Azriel had explained to Julia her work, and what she would be doing for the most part, now she and Frederick walked around, as he showed her a tour of the floor. He was politely, explaining things to her very carefully. Until he heard her speak. That French accent didn't help her situation. ''Excuse me, uhhh, Mr. Frederick, but..why have I been assigned to be Sir O'Brien's assistant? I am sure someone more experienced could've tagged along. With a stressful expression, Frederick expressed himself. He gently told her to follow to the coffee longue, where he sipped himself some coffee, before explaining the current situation. ''First of all, you have a very unique accent, you're French, aren't you?'' She nodded and continued listening. ''The truth...nobody who's been working here for years wants anything to do with Azriel O'Brien. This is where you, Miss Julia Dupont come in. I mean, you must be very desperate if you're willing to work here'' Julia sipped herself some coffee too before replying. ''He's simply misunderstood, you see, I am studying Psychology, and I can tell, his problems would make even the toughest of iron minds crumble under the pressure he's in. However, I'm willing to give it a try. Shall we continue the tour, Mr Frederick?'' She asked, Frederick nodded and continued the tour accordingly. It was fairly short, he showed her where the copy machine is, where the coffee maker was, the chicken, toilets, etc. With that, he finished the tour and led her to her desk, the same desk Azriel pointed to earlier, she sat and calmly looked around, carefully studying everyone's expressions and body language. ''Well, let's get to work'' She told herself, so, this new chapter of her life began.

Azriel sat at his desk, tapping his pen anxiously. He had so many appointments today, way too many to keep track of, on top of that he had to rely on a new assistant. He put his head in his hands taking a deep breath. He needed to figure this out, needed to make this work. Azreil sighed heavily as he leaned back against his Chair, rubbing his temple to try and ease the migraine that was forming. After a moment he carefully began to dig through his desk, to search for any sort of medicine , in hopes of easing the migraine. Today was going to be a long and agonizing day, one he wasn't ready for, and one he prayed would end quickly. But it was Miss Jenkins, she would want to know about his life, why he wasn't married, why he didn't have kids, why his brother still lived with him. She wanted to know answers to the most annoying questions he wasn't ready to answer. He gathered his coat and briefcase as he walked out of the office, turning his head to Julia he gave a slight scowl.”hold my calls, or forward them to Frederick.i don't care, i will be back in a couple hours.” he said looking down at his watch as he began walking towards the elevators. “Oh Freddy, pick up my nephews while I'm gone, I need uncle time.” his words were cut off as the elevator doors closed in front of him. Frederick chuckled softly as he shook his head going back to paperwork. “Don't mind him, he will feel a bit better once he has some food in his system.” he told Julia with a kind smile. “You know the saying, you're not yourself when you're hungry.” he chuckled, resuming his paperwork. Two hours later The lunch with Miss Jenkins was a Long, and frustrating lunch. The woman had shouted and thrown insults at him, for a mistake an ex employee had made. Walking back into the office everyone could tell how tense and angry the man had looked, this 27 year old was just exhausted and ready to get the latest hit done and over with, then maybe he'd be able to get some actual sleep. But he knew th

at was easier said than done, he'd have to make sure things didn't go south before daring to rest. Walking back into the office, he forced himself to walk over to Julia’s desk, stopping in front of her as he stared. “Any messages while I was gone?”he asked her, in a less aggressive tone, and more of a tired sigh. @Owen
