Lawrence had heard about this sad looking pet in the X pet company from a friend, who often went there to mostly take in the pets that were about to be put down. The friend had told many tales they heard from other clients who tried to take the pet in, but no matter how many bad tales Lawrence heard, he still felt empathy towards that specific pet. So of course, once he got the chance, he went to said company and began walking around. His presence there was.. Well, a dream come true for the owner, and it was simply impossible to not look at him. It was rare seeing a popular man there, with no guards or even a lover around them. Usually people went there to get gifts for their loved ones, and even if there were a few people who got pets for themselves, none were as known as Lawrence was. So much so, the second he’d walked in, one of the workers immediately walked to him “Welcome~! How may I help you?“ the worker asked with a very... Annoying voice to Lawrence. He didn’t like gold diggers, and this was clearly one of them. “I’m only here for one pet in specific. A certain.. Fuyuhiko? Something of the like..“ he spoke, not even bothering to spare a glance at the worker as his golden eyes looked around rapidly to try to find that pet. “Eh? That one? Why that one?“ the worker asked, causing Lawrence to look over and glare a bit “Do I have to answer that? Do you want the money or not?" He asked harshly. He wasn’t normally this mean, he simply didn’t appreciate being asked what his motives were, even if they were good motives. “Ah- uh, yes, my apologies! He’s over there!“ the worker spoke, leading the much taller male to the pet after offering the famous man some food for the pet like usual. As soon as the worker pointed to the cell, Lawrence huffed “You keep them in such small cells? Shameful.“ he scoffed to the worker, before losing his bitchy behaviour and crouching down to make himself less intimidating. “Hello there, little one.“ he spoke, his han

The assistant grabbed his arm as the cat inside kicked the metal door with enough force to bend it outwards. Fuyu kept count of how many bones of idiots he could break. Hissing, he bared chipped teeth pushing his back to the far wall to get as far away from the door. He refused to be sold again. There was no way in hell he was going back somewhere without a fight. It was easy to make yourself unsellable.... especially if you were terrified to go, though he'd never admit to such. "I'm sorry sir, he really is a problem. There's much better choices. How about I show you them instead?" The assistant hadn't let go of his arm. Fuyu had to be about 24 or 25, though stunted, black ears pressed back against his skull as near constant hisses tore up his throat. His eyes were an oddity, a light Terracotta, rolling in his head to find an escape they both knew wasn't there. Fuyuhiko was terrified, and they both knew it. "We've sold him to many before but most return him. With scars to boot. He's acted like this since the last one and we think hes on a suicide mission. He knows what happens but he just keeps doing this. He got told if he broke another bone, his own or someone elses, owner will shoot 'im himself but he persists on like this...."

Lawrence hummed and pulled his hand back to first off avoid getting hurt but also to avoid scaring the other even further than he already was scared. He set the bag of treats aside and remained crouched down, watching the man's behavior. He looked up at the assistant, letting them explain that there were better choices than this one, which caused him to sigh. "If they truly are better choices, they'll find a caring owner properly soon enough. If this one isn't considered to be a good choice, he won't. And I'm already guessing what happens to these poor beings when they stay too long..." He spoke with a heavy grunt. His eyes then went back to the cat-eared man in front of him, the annoyed look he had when explaining what he did to the assistant leaving to let a kind expression take its place. "Before you gave him to his first owner, was he this aggressive, too?" He asked the assistant without looking at them, keeping his eyes on the «pet» to make sure he knew if whatever he said actually affected the other in any way. "By what you, and some other clients of yours, have told me, it seems he's grown more and more aggressive towards you and your clients alike the more he was sold and taken back. And with each time leaving some kind of mark on the now ex-owners. Have you never asked yourselves if maybe it was the owners' fault? Nobody's born this aggressive, this cautious, this... scared. Something must have happened." He spoke quite confidently. He was always one to blame the owner for a pet's wrongdoing. The owner is the one who taught the pet and cared for the pet. For sure the pet was simply taught to be that way, to act that way. To act in self-defense, potentially, too!

He then stopped talking to the assistant and decided to give the pet a chance to show him any sort of sign he was right, or wrong. "Am I right, little one? Are you afraid? Afraid another one will do the same as the others? Are you afraid I will do the same the past ones did?" He asked, "Did what they do hurt you so bad it made you think death was an easier route?" He asked. @Vox

He'd pressed to the wall blanket wrapped up about himself. The cell was steel on the walls and floor of his space, very different than the carpeted and plush full cells for the others. Many had space to move or even had other rooms to enter. Fuyuhiko couldn't even stretch out his legs and his head touched the ceiling. He only had his quilt that he held onto with a death grip. "I wasn't employed when he first was here. His paperwork is incomplete." The sellar crossed his arms watching them both, stepping away back to his desk through the little rant rolling his eyes once he was out of sightline. When the question was posed to Fuyuhiko, his eyes flicked aside as the pressure mounted on him. What was he supposed to say? The man kept staring.... Shuffling a little he tucked against the wall pulling the blanket up further against his shoulders, returning back to being a ball of blankets with dark hair atop. "Sir you're going to just keep stressing him out. I'm just an employee. Do you want him or not?" The sellar held up several folders of paper, sitting behind his front desk. When Lawrence would inevitably shift, he could see Fuyuhiko was still watching him through a crack between the blanket and the wall. Several pages were spread across the desk to be read and signed for. A folder of his medical history, a household summary, a waiver, a bill of sale, and an empty gift box to fill. "I'm waiving the cost for the adoption requirement box so you get an item each from each color rack, the rest will be......" He trailed off flipping to find the proper page, "1,000 dollars and 45 cents. I'd advise allowing us to drug him in order for you to safely get him home." The man offered a pen, leaning on his desk. Getting grilled for something he had no say in pissed him off, especially when he just wanted to do his 9 to 5 and go home. "While you sign and fill your gift box, I'll fetch Moggi to get him out." He glanced to Fuyuhiko's case, chuckling softly, "Funny. He's normally
