Lilith took a deep breath, staring ahead at the blank wall where there had previous been a man, in his pure celestial form. Now all that remained was her blade, plunged into the brick of the building, glowing red with soft flames dancing upon its surface. The demoness twisted her head to one side, than the other, loosening her tensed muscles before beginning her transformation back into her mortal state. The transformations were never easy - the recoiling of her deep, black wings into her shoulder blades while the twisted horns shrunk and retreated back into her skull was almost agonising - but after the many, many decades she had now danced upon the mortal plane, she had grown used to it. Her deep black eyes would fade away, leaving a soft, glassy blue-grey gaze in their wake.
The wings, once gone, would decorate her back in black ink - merely a memory of what had once been there. Ripping the blade from the wall she would fasten it to her leg beneath the long black dress she wore, her hand brushing across it until it faded from view. The rest of her demonic markings had warped into various tattoo’s decorating the pale, mortal shell she now wore. A close inspection could notice the slight movements within the tattoo’s, like the dragons and snakes winding around her body were somehow alive - a slight flick of a tongue, flicker of smoke.
