After weeks of the stray cat visiting his store, Nox feeding her, playing together during downtime, and letting him carry her around as if she were an accessory to his outfit - he finally pulled the trigger and decided he would take her home with him. He packed a duffle bag with all the belongings heā€™d bought for his cat, still unnamed, though that wouldnā€™t last for longā€¦ The idea of his cat getting snatched up by animal control or going missing made his heart sink. He cast those fears aside and tossed the bag of kitty-cat items over his shoulder, including the small box he kept hidden in one of the drawers, and carried Luna under his other elbow. Nox walked to his home that night, just a few blocks from his store, with a smile on his face and cat under his arm. He lived in a tall building on the top floor, so when they entered his home, Luna would have a nice view to look at during the evenings. He closed the door behind them and set the cat down. The large condo looked as if it had been cleaned and prepped for the cat to explore. He gave a small caress to the top of Lunaā€™s head and set the duffle bag by his feet, watching to see where sheā€™d go and what sheā€™d do first. ā€œNow donā€™t go scratching everything you seeā€¦ā€ he told her quietly, unsure as to how the cat would react to having furniture to climb and lay on. @Loni

The feline was happy to be carried around and taken care of. She enjoyed the attention, pampering, and anything else that was thrown her way. When they entered the home, Luna stretched out and yawned. Then after the pet on her head, Luna started to walk around, her tail swaying upright. She would do a bunch of sniffing and curious exploring wherever there was open doors for her. @Taking Back Luxday

So the kitty made its way all around his home without pissing on anything, terrific - that was a good sign. He eventually picked the cat up in a single motion and swooped her under one muscled arm, bringing her to his gigantic windows facing the back of his condo. They were extremely large windows, floor to ceiling in length, and allowed Nox to steal a view of the entire city. Since it was night, he stared at a blanket of twinkling yellow lights, a simple pleasure to pass the time. He pointed down to an area on the street. ā€œSee that?ā€ he said to the cat, his other hand rising to the occasion to stroke her pretty little head, ā€œ...thatā€™s where I found you. Thatā€™s where the shop is.ā€ Noxā€™s reflection loomed in front of him just barely, his gaze focused on himself and then the cat in his arms. He liked having a pet. ā€œLunaā€¦ā€ he said quietly, her name passing through his lips for the first time. ā€œThat fits.ā€ And Nox lowered his stare to the feline in his hold, pressing her against his hardened chest just so he could feel the way she purred against him. @Loni

The cat let out a quiet yet surprised meow when she was scooped up into his arm. She didn't flail or anything, she was surprisingly pretty relaxed. When they reached the window, she seemed to look around quite a bit, a faint purr emitting from her. Her tail flickered or swung side to side as her orbs looked over the city. She would enjoy the attention thus given, and...did she look where he pointed, or was that a mere coincidence? Who knows? Either way it was at least clear that she was loving the attention he was giving her. The name seemed to resonate well, as her head nuzzled against his cheek as Nox brought her in close. Maybe she won't be a problem at all. @Taking Back Luxday

Nox popped open a can of wet food, chicken flavored, and put it into a bowl on the ground. Then he did the other stuff. Made sure there was a saucer of water for her next to her food. Assembled a kitty litter box. Scattered some toys around the place. Positioned a fluffy bed next to the large windows so she could lounge in it if she wanted to. Everything was looking good, almost like he knew what he was doing. There was just one more thingā€¦he eyed the small package waiting on the counter and decided to leave it there until the morning. Nox headed to his bedroom and kicked off his shoes. They landed in his closet with all his other pairs of black boots. He took a quick shower and then returned to his bedroom with a towel wrapped around his waist. Water dripped from the ends of his dark hair. He put on a pair of oversized black sweat pants and sat on the edge of his bed, which had four large pillows and a grey comforter hanging off of it. ā€œLunaā€¦ā€ He called for the cat, not entirely sure where sheā€™d wandered off to. Nox laid back, relaxed, allowing his body to sink into the pillows behind him, waiting to see if his cat would join him on the bed or if she preferred to sleep in the other room. @Loni

Luna took her time exploring every room she could find. It was fun! So many nooks and crannies...and smaller places to nap in. Or hide, if need be. She even got the zoomies at one point, zipping around and chasing a toy that was just a jingly ball. It seemed to be her favorite though, darting around the place and bouncing on it, attacking it until it got shoved under the couch. She flopped down on her side and tried to get it but alas...her cat arms were too short. Damn! Her ears perked up at the sound of her name being called. Her feline body stood up and brushed against the couch as she passed it, before wandering to the voice. Peeking her head into various rooms, she took her time before she finally located Nox. She let out a quiet meow before walking to the side of the bed and shrinking down into herself. A pause...then a butt wiggle...and then jump! Luna jumped onto the bed and froze for a second, before walking over to Nox and rubbing her face against his. Loud purrs emitted from her, she was happy! A cat's most valuable sign. @Taking Back Luxday

When the cat jumped onto his comforter he extended his arm in her direction and let his fingers graze the top of her head, fingernails parting her fur with every stroke, allowing her to rub against his face the way she wanted. It was a calming thing. Her purrs. The feeling of her fur on the stubble of his jawline. All of it lulled him further into knowing heā€™d made the right choice to bring her home with him. Nox felt his eyes closing and reached for the light by the side of his bed and turned it off. Having large windows in his bedroom, the city lights below danced on the ceiling. Orange flares slowly slid across the walls and then flickered out as cars below drove by, reflecting their route in the opposite direction. The sound of the AC kicked on and hummed quietly. Nox found himself falling asleep faster than normal all thanks to Luna. There was a first time for everything. He never owned a pet before. Not even a goldfish. He was the kind of guy that didnā€™t want to be tied down if he wanted to go on a trip - but, Luna won him over and changed his mind. She was meant to be his, and after a few short minutes, found himself fast asleep with her by his sideā€¦

Luna was over the moon to be pet and receive even more attention once she had jumped onto the bed. She ended up flopping down next to him as he started to drift off to sleep. During the night, Luna lay curled up on the bed next to his head. Her body slowly expanded with each breath as she snoozed away. At one point, the cat got up and decided to do some more exploring. Cats sleep most of the day away naturally. She had more to explore! Luna would take a pit stop at the cat box, have a snack, wander around until...wait. Is that...is that a mouse toy?! HOW DARE THERE BE A MOUSE IN HERE! Luna's hunting instincts came into play, and like a child in their imagination, Luna was bopping around and 'hunting' this mouse toy in the middle of the night. Brief thumps and her scurrying were the only sounds to be heard if Nox awoke at all to the chaos. @Taking Back Luxday

Someone had broken in. It was the only explanation for the noise waking him up. Nox threw the covers off his body and ran into the living room carrying a metal bat in his right hand. He flipped the switch, and instead of seeing someone standing there wearing a mask, he saw Luna, destroying the likes of a fake mouse. Nox leaned his shoulder against the doorframe and closed both eyes. She nearly gave him a heart attack. The clock said it was only half past midnight, which meant he had at least another four more hours before he needed to get up and open the store. His sweatpants hung around his waist lazily, and Nox had to hold them up with one hand to keep them from falling. He grabbed Luna and held her against his chest with no shirt on - she felt nice, like a soft blanket. He continued to pet her until she was purring, then carried her back into the room with him, leaving the toy behind. Nox laid down and set Luna by his side. Once situated, he pulled the covers over his legs, then carefully, slowly, and deliberatelyā€¦Nox wiggled his big toe, creating an unsuspecting target for Luna on the bed. @Loni
Avatar
Luna froze when she finally caught sight of Nox, her fur briefly fluffing up. Her eyes widened as she gave a couple of baps at the mouse as if she had hunted it down for him. The dark void let out a quiet meow as she was picked up, settling in his arms as he petted her. The instincts to hunt subsided easily, after all, she was a domesticated cat. Soon after, purrs followed suit, closing her eyes as she was carried back to the room with him. Toy 1 - Luna 0. For now. Once her paws touched the bed, she sniffed about and was getting ready to lay back down, walking over to Nox. About to claim her spot next to him once more, she noticed movement. Her head snapped over to the wiggling prey, and she hunched down into a hunting form. Getting closer to it, and for optimization...butt wiggles. Her ears lay back and she stalked it...until...POUNCE! Luna tried to bite his toe if it stayed in position. @Taking Back Luxday

They played their new game of who could outwit the other for several minutes. Most of the time, Luna guessed where his toe was under the covers. Occasionally, he crept up behind her, having the advantage, and startled her with a sudden surprise attack. He found it entertaining to watch her spin around trying to figure out where his toe would be next. He did this for as long as he could, then when his eyes grew heavy, fell asleep to the sound of her purringā€¦ When Nox woke up the next morning, he noticed the sun pouring into his room and Luna positioned on the corner of his bed sunbathing. Not wanting to wake her, he left the room quietly. Nox went to the box sitting on his kitchen counter and opened it. Inside was a collar he bought from the pet store. It was expensive, made from soft black leather, and had glittering emerald gems and golden metal accents dotting its width. There was a steel circle with her name on one side and his number on the other that dangled from the middle. Returning to his bedroom, he sat beside Luna and placed a hand on her belly to graze her fur affectionately. Nox stroked her gently until she was awake. He placed the collar around her neck and fastened the golden buckle with a calculated flick of his fingers, then straightened it out so the metal with her name on it hung over her chest. ā€œYouā€™re mine,ā€ he said, and the corner of his mouth tugged into a half smile. ā€œStay out of trouble while I shower, and Iā€™ll give you breakfast afterā€¦ā€

Luna had tired herself out, chasing the mystery under the covers. She found a corner of the bed to curl up in, the sun perfectly resting against her dark shiny hair. She snoozed away, unaffected as Nox got up and left the room. Slowly, she awoke as he petted her belly, making her stretch out along the bed and become a long cat in the process. Luna seemed to be hesitant at what was happening at first, briefly resisting before she finally settled in. The collar seemed comfortable, and it was pretty. Complimented her fur and eyes. Luna was content with it. She got up and brushed against him, purring as he announced breakfast after a shower. @Taking Back Luxday

Nox got out of the shower with water dripping from the ends of his black hair. He wrapped a towel around his waist and took a look in the mirror. With his index finger, he wrote the name Luna on the surface so the next time he showered, heā€™d see it written in the steam. Itā€™d be funny when he brought a girl over and they took a shower together. Sheā€™d end up seeing the name and realize it was his cat. Speaking of, he had a date coming up, and needed to remember to text her since he forgot to the night before - guess thatā€™s what happens when you get a pet, you just start forgetting about things. He dressed in his usual black boots and faded grey pants, this time wearing an open brown vest on top of a white tank with cut-off sleeves. Nox grabbed Luna from the end of his bed, tucking her under his arm, and carried her into the kitchen. Her fur was all warm and fuzzy from the sunlight. He set her down on the counter and popped open a can of wet food. Raising an eyebrow, he slid the bowl of food in her direction. ā€œItā€™s turkey flavored, with gravy, and bits of vegetables.ā€ @Loni

Luna had been playing with one of his socks while Nox was bathing. She even tried to retrieve it from the abyss by running under the bed. But she failed, sadly, and she conceded by jumping back up onto the bed and lying down for a catnap. Her ear flicked as he exited the shower, lazily opening an eye. If he hadn't known, Luna seemed to stare at him as he dressed. Then, she was found lifted up in his arm, limp and docile. Her tail flicked ever so slightly. What a chill cat. Her paws touched the cool counter, giving it a couple of sniffs before her head snapped up. Turning towards the sounds of the can being opened, she watched as Nox slid the bowl toward her. Carefully, she stepped forward, giving the food a few sniffs of curiosity. It certainly smelled delicious! Luna would loaf down, bowing her head as she munched away, her tail still flickering about on the surface of the counter. It seemed that she was genuinely enjoying the food, as she was eating it with no signs of slowing down. @Taking Back Luxday

Nox headed out the door with Luna cradled under his arm. The sunshine was bright and hot outside, and it was only a ten-minute walk to the potions shop. But before he got there, just like every morning, he wanted to stop and get some coffee. Nox carried his cat into the coffee shop and gave a smile to the girl working behind the counter. Her name was Claire, and she and Nox were friends. She knew his order by heart, where he spent his free-time on the weekends, and even what his parentsā€™ names were - but she didnā€™t know he had a cat, so the surprise on her face was something Nox enjoyed. ā€œWhat a beautiful, kitty! She can explore the store if she wants.ā€ Claire rang Nox up for his drink and started to make his latte. ā€œThanksā€¦her name is Luna. Iā€™d rather not, I donā€™t want her running off.ā€ ā€œLuna is a great name. Where did you get her?ā€ ā€œSheā€™s a stray I found at the shop and decided to keep her. Brought her home with me for the first time last night.ā€ ā€œLucky cat,ā€ Claire smiled at Nox. ā€œI was thinking Iā€™d stop by your shop on my lunch break today.ā€ ā€œOh? Did you need something for a headache or to help you sleep?ā€ Nox stroked the top of Lunaā€™s head absently. ā€œNoā€¦ā€ Claire bit her bottom lip and handed him his latte.ā€œI thought maybe youā€™d like some company during lunch?ā€ Nox took the drink, caught off guard. ā€œUh yeahā€¦sure, Iā€™d like that. Iā€™ll be there whenever you want to grab a bite.ā€ Claire had this look on her face as if sheā€™d like to take a bite out of Nox, and probably other things that didnā€™t involve their clothes being on. ā€œCan I see your kitty one more time before you go?ā€ Nox set Luna on the counter by the cash register and adjusted her collar, making it so the name tag hung over her chest correctly. @Loni

Luna purred as she was carried around by Nox. Her tail swaying meanwhile, her curious orbs taking in the scenery. The outdoors was beautiful now in a different way that she could appreciate, without being afraid if she could survive a night anymore. She wondered about a kitty porch in the future... As she seemingly spaced out, Luna suddenly found herself in the cafe with Nox. He was talking to a girl she had never seen before. They were chatting about her, which made her happy! Then...the conversation turned into...a more flirty tone. This upset Luna, but she didn't show it yet. It just resided in her eyes for a bit. When Nox complied with Claire being able to see the cat before they go, it was clear to Luna that she was just being used. Being used to get closer to him, a bond to have between the two of them. That they both like her. This angered her, Nox was hers! Luna lightly growled and then hissed at Claire! If a pet was attempted too before Claire let Luna sniff her hand, a swipe was conducted at her fingers, claws extended and all. She had crossed a boundary that was literally made up on the spot, which would likely be confusing for the two humans. @Taking Back Luxday

ā€œOh my God!ā€ Claire retracted her hand from Luna as if sheā€™d been burned by a hot pan. She shook her fingers trying to free herself from the pain delivered by an unseen claw. There was a big scratch on her middle finger now, one that was turning bright red. Suddenly, blood sprouted from what looked like a red pen mark, and it sent Claire running into the storeā€™s backroom searching for a bandaid to stop the bleeding. ā€œOh shi-ā€ Nox didnā€™t have enough time to stop Luna from attacking Claire. Heā€™d never owned a cat before, much less one that heā€™d found on the street. He really didnā€™t know what Luna was capable of. ā€œAre you alright?ā€ ā€œYeah!ā€ Claire said somewhere in the backroom, but her voice betrayed her. She was clearly annoyed that her encounter with his cat didnā€™t go well. She hurried back out to the cash register with pink cheeks and her finger wrapped in a clean napkin. ā€œIā€™ll be fine. Cats are funny. You never know when they want to play.ā€ ā€œHer hissing, though, Iā€™m not sure what got into her-ā€ The front door to the coffee shop opened, and a few people shuffled in, talking amongst themselves. ā€œHello!ā€ Claire waved at the new customers and then turned her attention back to Nox. She winked at him, playing off her disappointment with Luna. ā€œIā€™ll be fine. See you around noon?ā€ Nox picked Luna up and tucked her under one arm, holding his latte in the other hand. ā€œYeah, sounds great, thanks again for the coffee. Sorry about your hand. Iā€™ll see you in a few hoursā€¦ā€ But Claire didnā€™t let him apologize. She smiled at Nox and wiggled her fingers at Luna. And then Claire adjusted herself behind the counter, leaning forward, making it so her cleavage pushed against her shirt just for him. ā€œI canā€™t wait.ā€ It was only a few more minutes before he arrived at his shop with his cat. He unlocked the door and set Luna on the ground, comfortable with her roaming the shop.

Nox started his morning routine. He placed bottles on the counter, the glass glinting in the yellow sunlight pouring in through dusty windows, preparing orders for the day, wondering what Claire meant when she said ā€˜lucky catā€™. Thinking of her shirt that was too tight for her body. Now and then, heā€™d look at Luna, watching her behavior, curious if her scratch on Claire was a one time thing or not. @Loni

Luna seemed unbothered, maybe even pleased with herself as she sat back down and started cleaning herself. Like as if nothing happened. She ignored the chaos that ensured with the girl running to the backroom, continuing to clean herself. Luna had started this and yet didn't seem worried in the slightest. Cats... Her attention turned to the people that just walked in, a faint purr emitting from her. Her tail even flicking, as af inviting the people to not be afraid to come up and pet her. A slight meow coming from her as she was picked up by Nox, but her purring grew louder. Luna ignored the lame flirting attempt with the woman's chest, and once they arrived back in the shop, Luna seemed to be herself again. Playing with things around in the shop, laying on the counter and receiving attention once given. It was like it never happened, which was so odd. Why did it happen? If only cats could talk. @Taking Back Luxday

Noon finally rolled around and Claire showed up with a bag of takeout and another bag from the pet store. ā€œI hope you like Chinese?ā€ She set the items on the counter and started opening up the boxes of food. There was chow mein, orange chicken, beef broccoli, and egg rolls. Claireā€™s face lit up when Nox said he liked all of these things. They ate together, laughing about the types of customers they had to deal with. The coffee shop usually had a bunch of snobs, giving Clarie a hard time about their drinks not being made right. Nox reciprocated with stories about the people who disagreed with his recommendations. The ones who couldnā€™t seem to get a good nightā€™s rest, or people who were tired all day and afraid of falling asleep on the job. How theyā€™d return the next day, miserable that they didnā€™t listen to his advice. He thanked Claire for the lunch and offered to pay for half, but she refused. This was her treat. So Nox asked her on a date in a few days to make things even. Friday. She agreed to see him then, theyā€™d have some drinks and go out to dinner. Since their lunch was coming to a close, Claire grabbed the mystery bag from the pet store and pulled out a purchase specifically for Luna - it was cat nip. ā€œI think itā€™s about time I gave you my number.ā€ Claire grinned. She took a pen lying next to a bunch of bottles and grabbed Noxā€™s hand, writing her digits on his left palm with red ink. Before leaving the shop, she said goodbye to Luna with a small wave, her fingers still wrapped in tissue from the scratch earlier that morning. The bell above the door jingled, and Claire was gone. Nox eyed the cat nip. Heā€™d heard rumors this stuff was supposed to get cats high. He shoved it into his pocket and decided heā€™d wait until tonight to see if Luna liked it or not. The day went by relatively fast. Before Nox knew it, he was locking up, putting Luna under his arm, and bringing her home with him. When they got to his flat, he set Luna on the couch and started mak

Luna continued to play about as the two chatted. Earlier, she had done her damage, making her point loud and clear. At least she thought so. It didn't seem like it swayed Claire much as she visited Nox. Their laughter echoed in the shop as Luna did her routines of playing with toys, eating and drinking, and flopping down on arbitrary surfaces. All while keeping an eye on the pair. Her ears would swivel a bit as she heard something being removed from the bag, then her pupils only slightly dilated at the sight of cat nip. Oooh...that's good shit. No! She couldn't let this witch win. No trickery here! She had to refuse! She just watched as Claire waved at her and walked off, her tail flicking at her in response. It was almost as if her eyes narrowed at her departure before she was gone. Hmph...Luna knew Claire just wanted to win her over so she could have brownie points with Nox...pathetic. When dinner came around, Luna was more than happy to consume the wet food. It was like her crack, she quickly ate it once it was open for her. After she finished her meal, she would hop up onto Nox's lap and lay down, purring. Meanwhile, Claire during the night would send Nox a...not a suggestive selfie, but suggestive. Her shirt was lowered to expose her cleavage, and she made sure that her lips looked plump in a seemingly innocent selfie, posing with a peace sign. Can't wait for the date! @Taking Back Luxday

During the night, when Nox was supposed to be dreaming peacefully, a text from Claire pinged his phone, but alas, Nox did not see it until the next morning - and thank God for that because if sheā€™d have woken him up, it would have been an instant strike against her. When he checked his notifications, he was surprised to see her name on his screen. His thumb trailed over the glass and unlocked his phone with one swipe, revealing this girl heā€™d known for a while, giving him a pouty look, and a simple message of ā€œcanā€™t wait for the dateā€. A harmless message, but why did that turn him off? He clicked the button on the side of his phone to match his mood, making it so his phone went blank, then tossed his android onto the bed so it got lost within the sheets. Nox gently took hold of Luna slipping his fingers under her ribs, and curled her next to his chest, which was bare since he didnā€™t wear a shirt to bed that night. With her black fur against his skin, the morning sun drifting over the bed to warm them made waking up hard. Technically he should have been out the door five minutes ago, but the way Luna purred made him want to fall back asleep. ā€œNot sure Iā€™m ever going to find the right one,ā€ he said to Luna, speaking to her as if she were his journal. ā€œThis happens every time. Something small will annoy me, and then I want to let go altogether. Sheā€™s a nice friend, and itā€™d be a shame to ruin a good thing - not to mention Iā€™d have to get my coffee somewhere else if things went southā€¦ā€ ā€œDo you want to know what bothered me this time?ā€ he asked, pretending Luna could understand him. ā€œShe made a duck face in the photo. You know, one of those looks where they try to make their lips look bigger than they areā€¦.ā€ Nox used his index finger to play with the sheets, hoping Luna would pounce. Maybe if he got her to play with him, heā€™d find a reason to get out of bed and start the day. @deleted-role

Luna snoozed soundly through the night, but a text message was something she woke up to. With a quiet growl, she knew all the intentions behind the late-night text...or did she? Cats, amirite? Thankfully it wasn't anything extreme but... Luna only reacted when Nox tossed the phone aside. Her head sprang upward acting as though she had just awakened. Like her predator instincts kicked in, she became alert in the moment. What surprised her was when Nox snuggled with her. His fingers drew her close, his bare chest against her fur, making her purr happily. Her tail flicking very faintly and flopped back onto the bed, she was content. Pleased. Nox held her close, and she felt his warmth, heartbeat, and soft whispers on her fur. She purred softly in response and snuggled closer to him, delighted in the moment. Her ear swiveled in response as he spoke to her. Pfft...a duck face? That was so outdated. Nowadays, overlining looks ten times better when done right. Jeez. Though as Nox vented about not wanting to ruin anything between those two, a slight flicker of mischief rose up. If only she could... Ah! Her thoughts were cut short, and she was distracted as suddenly, prey was upon the sheets! Luna's pupils swelled, her head quickly moving as his finger moved on the sheets. She squirmed a little to get a paw out of where she laid, and began to attack it. Is there a reason she would move away from his holding? That was foolish, she was comfortable. Who needs to get up anyway? @Taking Back Luxday

There was a strong chance Nox was going to stay in bed all day playing with his cat instead of going to work. Did the neighborhood really need potions to cure headaches? Theyā€™d be fine if he took a day off, right? Screw emā€™. Nox decided then and there he wasnā€™t going in to work. There were a few more swipes of his finger on those soft sheets tempting Lunaā€™s claws to come out and try to win a game of mouse before he rolled out of bed. He carried her into the kitchen under one arm and set her on the counter. The sound of a tuna can popped open shortly after causing the smell of fish to waft in the air. Heā€™d bought the good stuff for her, some brand called ā€œRoyal Felinesā€, but today seemed special. Nothing compared to a fresh can of albacore tuna. Nox slid the bowl over to Luna and gave her a few pats on the head. He had a cat. He actually had a cat! Why did that excite him more than the date heā€™d planned with the girl from the coffee shop? Something wasnā€™t right, but he couldnā€™t put his finger on it. More reasons to take the day off. After showering and doing all the usual stuff like brushing his teeth, getting dressed in some fitted pants, putting on a collared shirt with suspenders, and combing his hair with a touch of gel to make those curly strands do what they were supposed to, he headed out the door with Luna in his arms. If they were going to have fun today, theyā€™d need to stop by the pet store and get a harness. The shop down the street was already open. He picked out a black harness to match her fur and a leash that clipped onto the back. After paying for everything he went to his shop and put up a sign that said ā€˜closed for the dayā€™. From there he was able to walk Luna in the city as if she were a dog. Not all the time, though. Sometimes heā€™d pick her up if the streets were too busy, or if there was an actual dog passing by them then she was back in his arms. People loved to look at Luna. ld. Kids wanted to pet her, but after what he saw Luna do to the girl in the coffee shop, he didnā€™t want to risk any children getting scratched. Itā€™s not like he carried bandaids around with him, after all. A twenty minute walk brought them to their destination: The Zoo. Nox hadnā€™t been to the zoo in ages, but with his phone in his pocket and a small pad of paper and pen behind one of his ears, he was looking forward to taking photos and drawing some of his favorite animalsā€¦ @Loni

Luna won. She had succeeded in kidnapping her owner to have him stay home and not work for the day. A victory. Luna chased Nox's finger around the bed until he got up. She was swiped up into his arm and carried like a football into the kitchen. She then was set on the counter, and her gaze suddenly fixed on the tuna can as she heard it open. Luna went over to the bowl once it was slid to her. She happily ate what was an absolute delicacy, and it was even better since it was a super special brand. After she finished, Luna licked her lips and purred, content with the deliciousness of the treat. Nox scratched her head and she rolled contentedly. As Nox disappeared into the abyss known as the bathroom, she entertained herself by rolling around on the ground and playing with whatever she could discover. She found a random bread tie and chased it around until bored. Luna then found herself laying on the floor, in the sunlight and basking until her owner returned. The cat was confused as Nox purchased a harness, but once it was put on her, it didn't bother her too much. It was almost natural, which is odd for a cat with no walking training. But it was a breeze, as they walked through the city, Luna was not bothered regardless of any children or animals that wanted to head her way. She seemed friendly! Her body language said it all. Luna adjusted to the new situation quickly. She seemed to enjoy the walk as if she had been doing it for years. Once they arrived at the zoo, Luna was even more confused. But hey! She got to see many cool animals that she wouldn't normally see! She started to chitter once she saw birds nearby. Little meows and chatter came from her. A hunting instinct, but harmless otherwise. She was in awe of the majestic creatures around her. She couldn't help but be drawn in by the incredible sights of the animals in their natural habitats. She was filled with a sense of wonder and joy. @Taking Back Luxday

Several weeks went by where Nox took Luna to destinations not typical for cats to make an appearance. He brought her to pet-friendly restaurants, made a stop by Mc Donalds and gave her a fry, let her join him at an outdoor movie theatre based in a park where he got another girlā€™s number because it was his lucky day - but his favorite adventure was taking her on the subway train for a joy ride through the city. On the dating front, heā€™d put off going out with Claire for weeks all because of that single photo she sent that made her look like a duck. He did, however, go on a date with the girl from the park. Theyā€™d stopped by the roller rink and went to a disco party, even held hands, catching her so she didnā€™t fall during the 80ā€™s themed songs - it was a good laugh and memory built between them. That was one of the occasions he left Luna at home with her new litter box, a big basket of toys, and a large supply of wet food and water in case she got hungry while he was gone. During the week heā€™d call the girl from the park to see how her day went. They chatted back and forth, and to Nox, it was a nice pace to get to know someone. ion. Meanwhile, he played with the other girlā€™s bracelet in his fingers, trying to see if he could get Luna interested so he could catch a vibe for how sheā€™d react. There was another movie playing in the park on Saturday and he wanted to bring Luna to officially meet her. ā€œIā€™ve been good just busy with life and work, the usual stuff - yeah, sorry I never called you back Iā€™m not great with that sometimes. Meet you on Sunday? Uhā€¦sure, maybe. Ha! I know the Ice Cream parlor youā€™re talking about. The new shop on Round Top Road, right? I can meet you there. 3pm sounds great. Alright, see you then.ā€ Nox hung up and gave the bracelet another try with Luna, fidgeting with it in his fingers as if tempting her to take a swipe or a sniff. @Loni
