He kind of wished that he had booked an earlier train. When the train got into the station it was it was already dark out and it was raining out making Alex sigh as he walked out of the station and onto the streets which thankfully wasn’t too busy and thankfully even as he felt the rain full on his head getting his hair wet it wasn’t too cold but maybe he just didn’t think that it wasn’t too cold because he had just spent the last couple hours in a hot train. Either way part of him was appreciative of the cold wet weather even if he hoped that the rain wouldn’t soak through his bags. A light groan left his lips as he slung his heavy duffel bag over his shoulder feeling the way it tried to pull him down, catching onto his backpack but he pushed past the feeling as he caught his balance and checked his phone to see the location of his grandmothers store. Well technically his store now that the store was left to him. For now at least. It wasn’t like anyone could expect him to move to a small town in the middle of no where and expect him to take ownership of a store that he knew nothing about. The only reason his grandmother left the store to him to begin with was because he was the only one in their family that would write back to her. He couldn’t even begin to understand how that would feel. To be forgotten about and cast aside as just a crazy old lady by your own family. He didn’t believe in what his grandmother believed in, to him tales of werewolves, vampires and werewolves were for bedtime stories and tales that belonged in books but even so he didn’t understand why the rest of his family just ignored her. Even if the protective ornaments and Jewlery that she sent that would apparently ward off evil were weird he knew that she had good intentions.

So he became pen pals with the old woman and tried to skirt by talks of the supernatural. It wasn’t out of pity. Unlike his younger siblings he still remembered those nights when they were younger, and their parents were stuck at work so she would watch over them. He still remembered his grandmothers cooking; he remembered going to the park with her and when he was being bullied, he remembered his grandmother's advice of sticking up for himself. He also remembered when his parents had grounded him for punching his bully, she brought him ice cream. So how could he just ignore such a woman? Looking back, he couldn’t really say that he was surprised to be the only person in the family that his grandmother left stuff to the will. Of course, it annoyed some of the people in his family who tried to argue that he should sell the shop straight away and then share the money, but he owed it to the woman to at the very least check out the store that meant so much to her. Even if it probably was filled with trinkets that he had no idea how to sell and so that was how he found himself walking in the rain trying to get to his grandmother's old store. He knew that he was in for a hard walk as he quickly started to walk uphill forcing his breaths to become heavier under the weight of his bags as he regretted not visiting sooner. Too stubborn to admit that he was going to get lost, and too stubborn to call for a taxi when his body bumped into someone else's in his rush he felt himself start to fall backwards the weight of his bags messing up his sense of balance.

a mysterious woman in a cloak was walking around the now abandoned store just staring at the items she needed through the window, but with the store technically closed, she was frustratingly stuck on the outside. She grumbled and slumped down leaning against the building. Did she miss the convenience of the store? Yes but after her original place of work closed down and she didn’t make rent it led to a lot of ends no longer meeting and she was attempting to stoop to a new low, stealing from the dead. She was under the assumption the place was abandoned now though and it never crossed her mind it could be given to the next of kin. @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

meanwhile the scene outside unfolded as the rain poured down from the heavens, no one seemed to notice the little figure on the inside rummaging through the dark room, having hopped in through a window on the opposing side she hadn’t had much difficulty in getting in, the old lady hadn’t installed any locks on her Windows, hell there weren’t Even a single trap in here… as far as she could sense that is, and as she found that powder she so desperately needed, she got ready to split, only to find that she couldn’t… as if a one-way forcefield had been activated…. Ah! Merde! she started searching for alternative routes of escape, going up to the second floor to check there @All time Jack @violet cranberry

Without anyone to catch him when he fell the person that he had bumped into didn't even notice him as the weight of his bag brought him down onto the ground. Luckily the same bag that caused his fall, filled to the brim with clothes was enough to take away from the impact of hitting the ground but that didn't stop him from hitting his arm off the gritty ground making him wince. "Perfect." He murmured rubbing his arm before he pulled himself up onto his feet, not realising that he was bleeding as eventually he managed to find the store were he quickly spotted a woman slumped outside of the store. "Hey are you okay?" He called to her having no idea that he was about to meet a dhampire for the first time as he also had no idea he was about to meet a werewolf fo the first time soon too. "Are you trying to get inside? I can help you."

she looked up but not at him, but his arm, her hand going to her face one finger landing on her lips as she bit her nails. She was caught… fuck. She decided to do the only thing she knew how to go about this, lie. “Yes sir- I was trying to get into this store you see and I heard a noise and I got scared” water welled in her eyes but she couldn’t force herself to cry. She hasn’t been that hungry before but the sight of blood made her want to wipe the blood off with a rice cracker and eat it but first she needed a rice cracker, or anything really. Then she got another idea. She stood up and went over to him casually taking “oh no you’re hurt!” her finger and wiping the blood off turning her head slightly to lick it off her thumb @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

to say she didn’t hear the exchange outside would be a lie, and she could ultimately feel the panic welling up more, though she strove to compose herself at least enough that neither she nor the beast makes much noise, besides, she had no idea she was actually fully incapable of leaving just yet, though the feeling quickly started to sink in as she swiftly tried to exit through some more windows, hell Even the chimney! All to no avail, she had run out of options, now panicing harder than anticipated, she simply hid in a closet Im the master bedroom, whilst panicingly trying to figure out how she’d Get herself out of this jam, and not to mention cursing her ancestors just a tad @All time Jack @violet cranberry

He didn't notice how she focused more on his bleeding scratch more then she did his face. He did however notice her bite her nails but he thought nothing of it. Even if he did think that the woman was beautiful now clearly wasn't the time to think about her looks. Not when it was clear to how upset the woman was. Or at least he thougnt it was clear. Thinking that she was upset he acted quickly as he came over to her. He was about to try and comfort her bur before he could she had acted quickly pointing out his injury and he was oblivious to her tasting his blood. "Oh this it's nothing. I just tripped over on the way here." He told her softly before he stepped in close to her and gently tried to grab her hand. "It's okay. It's an old building it was probably just the wind." He told her not knowing that a woman was hiding in the store as he then gently let go off her hand and walked over to the entrance. "What did you need from here? You can come in with me if you want." He told her before he unlocked the door and held it open. "Ladies first." He invited her not knowing that they would be trapped if they entered. @violet cranberry @Bing Crotchby

“If you say so…” she murmured now being easily able to enter “I was looking for some … home remedies the old woman used to sell- she paused staring at the open window and the wet foot prints” I don’t think it was the wind…” she cracked her knuckles ready to fight something if it meant easy access subpar food until maybe she could get a new job, she had very good hearing for a human as she heard a door shut upstairs “found you~” she grabbed the blood pills as slyly as she could while walking towards the stairs her hips swaying side to side leaving the human behind her to follow @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

upon hearing the woman stating her Discovery, she tensed, smelling the blood at first, and hearing to sets of footsteps merde!, they both walked in…. she thought to herself, and one of them apparently was onto her… and with the smell of blood involved she put her bet on the fact that at least one of them was vampiric in some way, meaning: she was fucked in terms of sneaking out of this place, though that much was certain from the beginning, and she didn’t fancy much of a fight… though if she had to she had to… @All time Jack @violet cranberry

"I didn't think that anyone would really be buying her remedies." He told the woman softly as he glanced over at her wondering why she wanted anything become he shrugged his shoulders. Maybe she was just superstitious. He didn't judge her either way. It wasn't like choosing to believe in the supernatural really hurt anyone and if it made her feel better then all the power to her. "What makes you think that?" He asked her soflty once he heard her words. Not sure why she was so sure that someone had broken in or why she was so eager to confront the person as he quickly followed her up stairs not paying attention to the way that her hips swayed. Before they could make it any further then the top of the stairs he caught up with her and gently gripped her hands to try and make her come to a stop. "If you're planning to try and confront them, let's say that there is someone here why don't we just let it slide. If someone broke into here. A store like this then I'm sire they're desperate. It's doesn't upset me. Really it saves me energy I was planning to give this stuff to charity anyway." @violet cranberry @Bing Crotchby

Yeah but- but they- she just had a disliking to dogs to say the least and as she entered the room she had a feeling she knew what was hiding that’s she didn’t want to admit that leaving them alone simply wasn’t as entertaining or we could confront them anyways~ @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

she did her best at remaining as still as a mummified corpse, though her heart raced at about a million miles an hour, much to her own chagrin of course, as she laid there silently, hoping praying that the man was able to convince the woman of not confronting her @All time Jack @violet cranberry

"You have to be desperate to break into a store like this. I still think that we should be kind to them." He said soflty before he gently gripped her hand and squeezed it. "If you want to find out if someone did break in then I won't try to stop you. But please don't try to fight them. Don't forget that you tried to break into here as well." @violet cranberry @Bing Crotchby

No I was trying to visit I didn’t know she was dead and I was uh- trying to see if it was open! Yeah- but come on you’re no fun! she crossed her arms and huffed as she had clearly wanted to catch the pup and make sure they didn’t steal any of the items the vampire needed @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

she sighed in relief, though it may be short lived, it was still very much needed, and at this point she took every little victory she could get and now… to try and figure out a way out of here… she thought to herself, wondering where the field might not be active, the loft? Seems reasonable… who rigs their loft anyway? @All time Jack @violet cranberry

"Didn't you say that you were trying to break in? Sorry I must have miss heard you then." He answered backntonher soflty watching as she crossed her arms before he tried to gently wrap an arm around her waist "Come on we can go say hi to whoever it is but let's not get into a fight." The truth was that he really did still think it was the wind but if it wasn't then he was worried about his new friend getting hurt. "Come on let's check it out and then I'll help you grab whatever it is you need." He told her. @violet cranberry @Bing Crotchby

she nodded still a bit annoyed she could immediately attack like she had wanted to, she walked over to the closet, reaching for the door handle, the dog could easily see it turning until it clicked open as she started to swing the door out. She was ready to pounce like a cat to a mouse. Though her hunger wasn’t helping in the slightest with her decision making @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

and just like that within a second she panicked, and she just suddenly darted out of the closet, trying her best to Get past the vampiric woman and the man, making for the stairs, though she tripped at the top of the stairs and tumbled all the way down, laying at the bottom dazed and confused ah… Merde de Cheval…. she muttered, grasping at her head @All time Jack @violet cranberry

Why she was so eager to confront the possible stranger he had no idea. Was she close to his grandmother? That was the only explanation that came to mind. She didn't feel like the kind of person that was a stickler for the rules at least. Still he was sure that no one other then the two of them were really in the house. Which was exactly why he was so surprised as he saw a woman bolt out of the room. He was so shocked that it was easy for her to rush past him, it was only when she tripped and fell down. "Hey are you okay?" He called out to her softly his hand giving the vampires hand a gentle squeeze before he let go and rushed down the stairs to check on her. @violet cranberry @Bing Crotchby

she rolled her eyes and laughed at the dog’s misfortune, she didn’t mean to she just- found it oddly entertaining. She watched the stupidly trusting man go after the thief. He was going to get himself killed one day… @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

she was still rubbing her head as he came downstairs, still cursing to herself, before immediately freezing up as she noticed that he could see her, and she stared wide-eyed at him, before managing to stammer out, in poor english: U-uh… hello- she looked around frantically for a second i-its not what it looks like?- she looked on edge, she was clearly unsure what to do in this situation… @All time Jack @violet cranberry

He didn't notice Alizarin roll her eyed but he did hear her laugh making him pause confused. Was it an awkward laugh? He thought to himself as he sighed relieved. "I don't think she's hurt." He called out to Alizarin before he smiled at Antoinette softly wanting to try comfort her. "It's okay I don't really care if you have broken in. That's not what's important. What's important is making sure you're not hurt." He told her softly. With that he tried to let his hands gently grip her hips planning to help support her. "Do you want to try sitting up? I'm worried you're hurt so just move slowly." @violet cranberry @Bing Crotchby

she just stared and watched, completely baffled by the sympathy he was showing her. She wasn’t used to people being like that. Usually they threw her out without a second thought, it was nice to see for once but she was concerned about what the naive man would get himself into they look- fine? Fine enough- @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack

a hand was still clutching her head as she slowly rose up to a sitting position, and it seems as though apart from a little soreness and a loud and sickly crack in her back- she was right as rain, though she did rub her back, obviously cursing at the pain un de ces jours mon dos sera ma mort- she said, still wincing from the handfull of aches and pains in her small albeit seemingly robust body… @All time Jack @violet cranberry

Oblivious to Alizarin's personal thoughts Arthur simply smiled as he heard her words and nodded at her. "Yeah I'm glad things could have been much worse." He spoke before he turned his attention onto Antoinette. "Don't try and get up too soon. Let's make sure that your back is truly okay before you do." He told her softly before he sat down at the bottom of the stairs next to her. "Do you want me to carry you over to somewhere you can sit down or something? I'm sorry if we startled you if there's something that you think you need here then your more then welcome take it." I don't mind." He told her glancing up at Alizarin and smiling at her before he raised his hand and tries to gently run his fingers through Antoinette's hair. @violet cranberry @Bing Crotchby

she sighed and approached, looking at the poor girl- I guess she wasn’t as threatening as she originally thought… sir do you have any sort of- idea the business that was run here? Let alone the type of people- interested in her goods? she asked genuinely this time, not accusingly as before. Seemed some sympathy clicked in her brain… @Bing Crotchby @All time Jack
