Arthur looks at Mairin, then at Tila, before he shakes his head with a small sigh. "Your Highness, I'm sorry, but that is not a risk I am willing to take. We don't know if the castle is truly secure." He takes a deep breath, focusing his magic. His golden magic gently wraps around Tila with a subtle golden aura. "You are safer together." Arthur gives the two princesses a stoic display, but something in his voice carries an air if confidence.
As they speak, a pair of ethereal sparrows flit about the room, monitoring them. Arthur glances at the familiars, knowing that they will be reporting on what they see before them. One of the sparrows banks and flies out into the hallway, while the other perches on the edge of a countertop beside the princesses.
Looking at the remaining bird, then back at Mairin, Arthur lets out a quiet exhale. "I mean no disrespect, your Highness, but if this is who I think it is.. We need to move, together."
The sparrow the had left returns, with a man wearing a leather apron following closely holding on to a sheathed sword. "Brennan! We worked as fast as we could, as soon as the blade was quenched and sharpened, the armorer sent me to deliver it to you." The blacksmith's assistant walks over and hands the sword to Arthur, who takes it and secures it to his belt.
"Thank you, just in time. Give my thanks to the master blacksmith." Arthur nods, still stoic.
The assistant nervously looks at Mairin, giving her a short bow. "Your Highness." The sparrow that guided him here lands on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, I must to return to the forge." He bows again before glancing back at Arthur as he makes his way out of the kitchen.
With his new weapon secured, Arthur stands tall, looking at Mairin, waiting for her response.
