The doctor looked surprised when he so quickly and easily moved the shelf into place and didn't even question her as to why she wanted it there, or argued with her, or anything contrary that would prove him a problem to solving her problem. She raised a brow and noted that about him instantly. It wasn't an obedience thing by any means. But someone operating what her and her peer far from this place, had deemed "Old World Mechs", had to be someone who wouldn't ask questions if told to zag or zig in the throws of chaos. While moving a shelf easily and without question wasn't exactly a litmus test, it was a good measure. She even noted how he kept it in place and smirked wider on one side of her lips then the other at that.
She turned back to picking up items on the floor and listened to what he had to say of experience, after nodding approvingly at his answer "Oh thats good, thats really fucking good," she laughed in her gravely tones. "That's exactly what I need. Someone who likes the fight, wants the fight, and can fight... And is willing to move shelves," She laughed a little and sighed "Tell me your single and I'll swoon," she said sarcastically and snorted at her own joke. Truth be told who wasn't single in this hell hole. She hadn't even seen another human in so long that she couldn't gage if he was normal sized or just a really big guy. Either way though, she was impressed.
As she listened and peered over her shoulder or toward him from time to time to see his demonstration she just got more thrilled with his presence. Though trying not to work herself up. For all she knew he'd rob her with those guns he displayed. But then again, she'd die in a few months, just statistically, if she didn't trust him a little. The choices were really more a pick your poison type thing.
