Travis chuckled softly as he looked down at his lemonade. āFor your information, I just got my license back, so Iād like to keep it that way, I asked you for a drink, never said alcoholic city girl.ā He winked with a grin, laughing as he dodged the like she tossed at him. āWoah there, thatās not very fancy of you.ā He teased, carefully grabbing his napkin as he picked up the lime and put it to the side, keeping his southern charm. āWell, Hannah forgot to mention, she told me I was an awful kisser after I got out of the pond, funny how you learn new things when your out of school.ā
He smiled, listening to her talk about the big city, and how different it is from their small town. Travis couldnāt help but hum, using his straw to stir his drink, heād be lying if he hadnāt thought about moving out of the small town and into the city, to give his kid a chance at a new life, use his brains for something more then just farming. But the panic and stress of moving to the loud bustling city out a stop to those ideas, and made Travis more then grateful for the small town life they lived. āIt sounds like an adventure.ā He finally replied. āBut I lost my sense of adventure a long time ago, and Iām not sure if my old heart can take any more spooks.ā He chuckled softly, giving her a small smile, showing he appreciated her sharing her experiences in the big city, and allowing him to have a glimpse into her life.
āWell, no quick flings arenāt bad, just not for max Iām not sure if I can handle a quick fling again, my heart just gets too attached to someone too quickly.ā He admitted with a heavy sigh, Looking up at her with a raised eyebrow as she told him to broaden his horizons. āWellā¦..William takes me to Dallas some times, when he needs to get things for the cafe, or when we go see a movie.ā He offered, rubbing the back of his neck as he laughed. āThatās probably not what you meant by broaden your horizons, but hey baby steps.ā He snorted softly.
