She tapped her foot in the alleyway; she was set to buy some artifacts from some dealer, but the whole situation felt off. Kai knew that, one, she was a wanted woman. Most witches were. Second, these artifacts were extremely difficult to come by. That was the only reason she was here, after all - on the off-chance that this was an actual deal.
She kept her hood over her head to look like every other alley dweller, though the sharp purple of her hair definitely stood out, even in the dark. A few men dressed in rather dark cloaks, though the insignias that hung from their necks were quite obvious and betrayed their true purpose. “I supposed it was too good to be true… But if you mean to kill me, then you should have brought more men.”
One of the cloaked figures didn’t respond, but instead held out his hand to fire off a holy spell. Though, the minute his hand was held out, it was lopped off. “You need to be quicker with your spells than that,” she replied, sighing. The man screamed out in anguish as the others moved to cover him, though they suffered the same fates. “You think I wouldn’t come ready for a fight? This is a basic antimagic barrier,” she tossed her hood off and ran a hand through her hair.
“I’m surprised you bishops didn’t even notice it. Ah well. You’ll make a great source XP,” she waved her hand and their heads rolled from their necks. She tapped the side of her head and sighed once more, “no wonder that was so easy; they were canon fodder. Ugh.” She held out her hand and watched as the men were swallowed up by one of her devour spells. “That was a complete waste of time…” (edited)
