having finally made it to the overworld, Raina sat in the tavern. She thankfully had enough gold to stay for awhile but not forever. Her family might not agree with her values but they still cared about her. They wanted to make sure she got away safe but didn’t ruin their status in society. The issue was though, a lot of people already doubted her loyalty. Human sympathizers weren’t welcomed in the kingdom. She left under the guise of wanting to travel the world but she had to keep up the rouse just a bit longer… for her families sake. So they could claim innocent of intentionally helping her escape
again though, some people were suspicious, of course there were eyes on her. It just so happened that someone in particular had taken a great interest in her “tour”. Drow society was a matriarchy. Imagine how women were viewed in medieval times but swap the roles. Drow women were taller and stronger than the men, as well as more dominant. This particular passer by tho, craved power and control. They used to be close as kids, she had once even liked him. But she learned he was just using her status as a noble to try and get into a higher ranking. And he learned why all the human servants wanted to work for her. She was, a human sympathizer. An act of high treason. And he could use this to his advantage

The underdark is an evil place. They breed and kidnap humans to work as our slaves because they see them as lesser than because of their lifespan amongst other things. They’re cruel and heartless and will immediately turn on eachother if it benefits them. As you saw in there. And I can’t do anything about it or not only will they execute me but my whole family as punishment. as a noble she was held to a very high standard, and fraternizing with humans was already costing her but they only let her go on the premises she just wanted to explore, and not that she was running away. And she had to keep it up for a few months to ensure her families safety before she could go rouge@Crosby

Well there’s only one way to find out. He folded up the quest sheets and placed them carefully in his jacket. They’d be quite useless in the overworld. There’s really no need to even stay at the tavern. He shrugged. He headed between a bunch of stands down an alley, there was a big building to their right, to which he opened the door. Soon enough they reached their room. There was multiple sets of locks upon the door as they entered inside. It was gothic in style, much unlike any normal tavern. There was only a bed and a small chair; it wasn’t big enough for either of them. To their right was the bathroom. Nowhere for them to rest separately. But it didn’t matter in his eyes, there was three bath robes in the closet and towels. Thankfully, they both could have one of those if they so chose. The room faintly lit by a moody candle light. She could already see some rather familiar devices on the wall next to the closet, handcuffs; leg cuffs, collars, and more. This was very obviously a room where not so good things happened sometimes. I’ve lived down there my whole life the reason I don’t have good information is because they don’t teach us- anything that could put us at danger and my parents know where I stand and hid a lot from me. They aren’t monsters they’re just fungus, that are just more alive than most fungus. Some creatures are friendly like Flumphs but most fungi are neutral and will accidentally poison you when they are just trying to reproduce. They’re not a threat u less you’re stupid and stay close too long. she made her way easily through the forest clearing a path for him as the area started to have more and more mushrooms until there were even mushroom trees they either managed to grow trees up here or we’re already in the inbetween space…

You’re the one with the quests you want to do my goal is to just not let you get eaten? she pursed her lips we get out the tunnel, then towards the north west, and through the peacefull part of the mushroom forest, then the not so peaceful part that serves as a barrier but we need to get out of that immediately, so we will cut through the Drow city then ANOTHER dangerous mushroom forest then the fish people, I thought we were pretty clear on that? This is the third time I’m telling you this!

He knew. Once the spell didn’t reveal anything. He knew exactly who was watching. He just… didn’t expect her to find him here or bother here.
