ROLEPLAY HQ - day-i-almost-died-story-2

Drorn sat in the house with the witches and fellow necromancers. Being who he was, the people did not like his kind, and so he was to be put to death. Of course it didn’t seem bad, but it was terrible. They had finally set fire to the house, and nobody could get out. “This is it. This is where I die.” he thought as the wood slowly burned and the temperature got hotter and hotter. He closed his eyes now, accepting his fate.

7:46 AM

Amanda had been watching the scene of the burning house, panicking internally as she saw no one trying to intervene to save the poor people. How horrid! She bit her lower lip, quickly tied her dog's leash to a light pole and took off her coat before she ran forward and jumped in through a window that she had made sure was in a room with not too much fire. She used her shirt to cover her mouth and nose and looked around "Anyone in here!?" She called out, before seeing a man there, awaiting his fate "Oh hell no! You're not dying on me!" She said, running towards the man despite the fire burning at her ankles already before she grabbed the man's wrist and began rushing out she panicked more as she saw the house was getting darker and darker. It was so hard to see and breathe! She panted a bit and pushed the man out the window before jumping out. The second she did though, she heard a loud boom: the gas tanks exploded. "Shit-- was anyone else in there??" She mumbled, before seeing everyone glaring at her for saving this man. She gulped. "i'm sorry if someone else was in there, but I can't save anyone else. Run, man, run!" She said, helping him up @Rogue_Main

he opened his eyes, startled. Everything happened so fast, and he couldn’t even raise his fallen comrades to help him “Wha- who are you?” when she told him to run, he didn’t even think about it and just did. He ran as fast as he could from the mob, the sounds of skeletons and screams filling the air behind him. after a while he sat down. He wanted to know who she was now, why she even saved him. He sat and thought about what had just happened. Of all the ones in there, why him? What was so special about him? @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓

Amanda sighed as he ran away, looking back at the burning house "I'm sorry, guys.." she mumbled, knowing she couldn't save them all. She then turned back when she heard someone clear their throat. She gasped, realising she was still in the middle of all the mob. Shit. She quickly ran to her pet, untying it and grabbing her coat before picking up her dog and running off home, in the country side. A day later, she left her doggy in her home after asking a friend to take care of her pet and grabbed some stuff, before going off in the general direction she remembered the man ran off to. She had saved him, she didn't want him to die starving alone in the woods, so, she decided she'd offer shelter, despite it meaning she'd put herself in danger as well. She walked and walked, waiting to find this man. Soon enough, she saw someone sitting there, tilting her head "Hey there! What are you doing here?" She asked @Rogue_Main

he tilted his head when this random person came over “Oh I was just looking for someone… they saved my life. I was going to drown.” he lied. He didn’t know whether or not to trust this woman, but she could be part of the mob, and he wasn’t taking any chances

Amanda smiled 'liar' she thought, but nodded "Well, you can't just stay in the woods like this. How about this, I'll offer you shelter and even help you find this person, and in exchange you'll help me out with some of my chores, how's that sound?" She asked, offering her hand to seal the deal. @Rogue_Main

he wondered why she wanted to help him, but he shook her hand “Deal.” at least this way he could have shelter “Thank you.” he smiled. He wondered if this was a trap, but he decided that he was going to die anyways, so why not take the risk? “Well, when do we leave? The sooner I get out of here the better.” @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓

Amanda grinned happily as she saw him smile, nodding "No problem pal!" She said cheerfully before she pulled her backpack off one of her shoulders and opened it, taking out two apples, offering one over to the necromancer before she closed her backpack and bit onto her own apple heading off home "We go home now!" She said, a rhythm to her step as she happily hummed @Rogue_Main

he wondered why she was helping him even more as she grinned. Didnt she know what he was? Did she know the risks? He followed her still, not thinking about it “Thanks.” he said as she handed him the apple “So… where do you live?” he asked, hoping it wasn’t the town @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓

@Drorn Onus (@Rogue_Main) - jump Amanda nodded "Very polite! I like that about you" she giggled as she walked "Oh I live deep in the countryside! A rather homey place, really!" She said, taking another bite of the apple. "You'll be safe there, friend." She said, patting his back. "So, you were about to drown, huh? Tell me about this person that saved you. Anything you remember?" She asked @Rogue_Main

he turned a little red when she complimented him. Liked that about him? This was getting weirder by the minute “Oh okay.” he sighed in relief when she didn’t say the town “I… honestly don’t remember much, everything happened so fast.”

Amanda hummed, swallowing the piece of apple in her mouth and nodding "Well, do you remember their gender at least? Like did they speak? Did you see their face??" She asked, trying to help him remember without giving him any actual answers @Rogue_Main

“Well, I do remember it was a woman, but I don’t remember much, like I said it was a blur. Don’t remember much.” he sighed “Id really like to know who she was, why she saved me.”

Amanda hummed, staring at her apple as she walked peacefully "Well, why should there be a reason why she saved you? Maybe she just didn't like the idea of someone dying with her around!" She spoke, taking another bite as they arrived to her small but cozy home

he stared at her “There are reasons to kill people, why aren’t there reasons not to?” he asked her. He was still hiding the truth, he wanted to make sure he could trust her with his secret before he said anything @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓

Amanda shrugged "Hm, well, people around me don't exactly like the idea of people dying under their watch." She laughed softly "Maybe she's just someone like my friends! With a hero's mind" she said, now just full on flattering herself. @Rogue_Main

he chuckled “Maybe. Nice place you got here.” he said looking at the house “So… you needed help with chores right?” he asked. He certainly wasn’t going to take the chance of getting kicked out

Amanda went to her friend, giving him some cash for the help and watching him leave before she shut and locked the door. She then went to see her puppy, getting on her knees and hugging it gently "Hm? Oh! Thank you, It's not a mansion, but it's still rather nice, isnt it?" She giggled, lifting up and nodding "Yeah, I can't seem to manage to cut the grass in my garden with my thingy, think you could cut my garden?" She asked.

when he saw the puppy, he was scared when it ran to him… only it wasn’t… angry… it wanted to be petted. Reluctantly, he started to rub the puppy’s head, and soon he felt like it was safe to pet it like normal. The puppy sniffed him and licked his hand, something he never expected of a dog “I guess I can do that. Care to show me what I’m using?” he said still petting the dog @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓

Amanda smiled as she watched him interact with her puppy. She hummed softly, waving him over "Yeah! I have this lawnmower but I have no idea how it actually works to turn it on and stuff- so uh, good luck! I'll get to preparing your room!" She said, leaving him in her garden as she went off to her free room and began preparing it for her guest. @Rogue_Main

he stared at the lawnmower for a little bit, then he decided to take a whole different take to the grass and just used his powers to create spinning bone blades to cut the grass to a manageable size. He got it done in less than 20 minutes, carefully trimming the grass by the walls, then he walked back in and sat down, waiting for her to come down. The puppy ran to him again and climbed on his lap, so he petted it more as he waited

6:15 AM

Amanda smiled as she watched him from the window of the spare room, finding his powers truly fascinating. Why would people want to kill such amazing people! She sighed, shaking her head and finishing preparing his room before heading downstairs. Your room is ready, mister!" She said, waving him over to show him his room @Rogue_Main

he smiled at her “Thanks.” he followed her to his new room, it was very clean! He wondered still why she was doing this “I… don’t know how to thank you for all that you’ve done for me.” he stood next to her, staring into her eyes @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓

Amanda looked up at him, laughing at what he said "Oh no need to thank me, really! You're already gonna help plenty by doing my chores." She said "Now go get some rest, maybe sleeping will help you remember." She hummed @Rogue_Main

he smiled and laid down “Thank you, miss.” he realized they haven’t even told each other their names “I’m Drorn…” @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓

Amanda nodded, turning off the light "Amanda. Good to meet you." She said, before leaving and shutting the door for him to sleep well. She then went down, getting her puppy and went back upstairs, going to her room and changing into some pajamas and starting to sleep @Rogue_Main

Drorn woke up early next morning and went hunting. He brought back 60 pounds of deer, the load being split between him and some skeleton companions. He started the process of turning some it to deer jerky as he smoked the rest. As he saw Amanda coming down he said, “Morning, Amanda. Sleep well?” he was cooking the deer and making breakfast for the two of them

Amanda had awoken to the sound of moving downstairs. She whined softly "So early.." she mumbled, standing up and going downstairs, still wearing her nightgown as pajamas. She rubbed her eyes as she walked downstairs, humming "Mornin'.. yeah, i did. Did you?" She asked, looking at the deer bits and cringing a bit before she walked over to the man "Did you.. hunt these yourself??" She asked @Rogue_Main

he nodded “I slept well, and I did hunt this myself. I’m so used to hunting for food, but I cleaned it all before I came here. Deer is actually pretty good. You ever had it?” he continued to cook the deer, seasoning it with very conservative amounts of seasonings “You want some? It’s really good.” he asked her as he made normal food like pancakes, eggs, and bacon @𝑳𝒖𝒏𝒂𝒓 (edited)

Amanda hummed, smiling softly at the smell of the food. "Hm, yeah, actually! I'd love a taste." She said with a smile, giving him a gentle side hug before she went to place the utensils and cups on the table in the living room.

I don’t want to eat 60 pounds of deer by myself.” he chuckled as he said it, and finished making breakfast for them. he went to set the table and saw it was already set “Oh, I was going to set the table, but alright.” he went and brought the food over, and put food on both of their plates

Amanda sat down, smiling softly "Well of course, I said you had to do some of my chores, not all of them!" Amanda smiled at the man. "well, bon appetit!" She hummed softly @Rogue_Main

Something about the way she acted he really found attractive. “Yes. Bon appetite.” he smiles back, and starts eating. Watching her eat the food made him smile. He could get used to being around her, maybe even as a couple. She was sweet and kind and that drew him more to her than anything else. “So… you like the food?”

Amanda nodded, swallowing what was in her mouth "Yeah! It's so good! You really are talented at this." She laughed. She really did seem to be a very cheerful and energetic person. "So! How do you plan on finding that saviour of yours?" She asked @Rogue_Main

“I really don’t know… there’s not really much I know about her, though your voice now that I think about it is familiar…” he thinks for a moment “Nah it couldn’t be. I must be dreaming.”

Amanda smiled innocently shrugging "Well, if you say so! Believe what you must" she giggled to herself as she continued eating and drinking water. "So tell me about yourself! How come you ended up nearly drowning too?" She asked

Amanda smiled "I know." She hummed, revealing she did know he hadn't almost drowned and had instead nearly burned alive. She kept her innocent smile "Oh? What's a necromancer?" She asked, seeming oblivious to it all @Rogue_Main

he sighs in dread about telling her “A necromancer is someone who can control where life and death collide. They can raise dead, turning them into skeleton servants, use bones to get jobs done, and drain life of people to gain life back. Most people are terrified of them, so they burn them. They don’t even understand that I’m not like most necromancers.” he sighed, then realized what she said “How do you know I was almost burned in a fire?”

Amanda hummed "That's interesting." She hummed, looking up at him as he asked her to tell him about herself. "hmm, well, I'm a very helpful person! I love helping people! So, i have always wanted to be a nurse! Or maybe an elderly assistant of some kind! Sadly I haven't found work yet, heh.. but! I still help whenever I can. So yeah, helpful. I've also been told I have a very fiery spirit! And I'm full of determination! Oh and I'm also very dumb, i put myself in danger in order to help people a lot" she laughed, not realising she was giving off too many details that would lead him into thinking she was the saviour @Rogue_Main

Thank you, Drorn-" she said, her heart beating faster in anticipation as she watched him slowly move closer. he didn’t say anything, it was like something had taken hold of him as he kissed her, something about it was so sweet and he loved it, on the other hand he didn’t even know what was happening to him. She hummed, grabbing the plates and cups to set everything in the sink to wash. Once everything was off the table, she went to put her shoes on along with a coat.
